Take 5 Oil Change

I got an oil change I left soon as I left my service light was on and come to find out the text didn’t put transmission fluid in my car. I went back and let the tech know he was very nonchalant I asked for the manager his name was Eric he told me that that’s not their job to top off transmission fluid. I explained to him that on the website it says that they top off fluids. Also, I have been going here for a couple of years and always got my fluids topped off. He told me it’s not a big of a deal and they fixed it so what do I want him to do? The whole demeanor and attitude was very terrible. Luckily, I caught this mistake. Because if I did it, my car would’ve been messed up. My transmission fluid was all the way empty.

Did they do the job? Yes as far as I know. Were they as helpful and had the customer service as other locations no. Other places usually ask to put air in my tires and they did not or top off my fluids. They also didn't reset my oil meter in the car. If you're looking for bare minimum quick oil change this seems like an okay spot. But what I will say is there are other better take 5 oil changes. I might give them another chance in the future. But I would rather go 5 minutes out of my way to a more customer friendly location.

The service is GREAT. I have been going there For about 7 yrs now. The only problem I have is that it is cold in there and when you have your window down it makes a person cold. I don't put the windows up just in case they need to ask me something. The people are great and they answer any question I have. If it just was not cold. I love the people and the service. That's why I keep going back.

The work done was exceptional. However, please remember to wipe your hands before closing the hood. I saw oily handprints left behind. Other than that, the service was great.

I went to oil change at blacklick near Columbus Oh location. Bad job. they didn’t fix the cover properly it came off after 2 days. Do not recommend

I started going here for my oil change and services because it's only 2 miles from my job and a quick stop after work. The last guy, Michael, did my oil change. And he was super nice and informative. I had an issue a month later and went back today hoping for some answers. Not only was it the same guy from before, but he answered all of my questions and he was very professional about it and again informative. And he helped me solve my issue quick. I'll definitely continue going there, if only for the service alone. I don't feel at all like I'm being taken advantage of ( I know nothing about cars ) and I don't feel talked down to. Overall very happy!

I have been a Take 5 patron for several years. I have been going to the Blacklick, Ohio location for 4 years. I have gradually watched the level of service I receive get less and less. They do not bother to check your tire pressure or even top off your windshield washer fluid. My last visit on April 19th, 2025 will be definitely be my last visit. They tried selling me an expensive antifreeze service that was not needed. I had the service done at the dealership 6 months prior. I informed him of this and asked for it to be documented on my invoice. My invoice was blank and it was blamed on printer issues. He proceeded to tell me it was a "borderline test" and I would probably be fine. An expensive service that was not even needed! Still no tire pressure check or windshield washer fluid top off. I have relied on Take 5's offering of Mobil 1 products and am hopeful I will be able to find another company that will offer the products with service that comes with integrity and honesty.

My oil change was great. I only had an issue when the young man waiting on me tried to upsale me on getting my radiator flushed! The problem was they flushed my radiator last year. I asked if they were using a cheaper antifreeze. The other young man in charge realized I was on to them and told me a line that I didn’t drive the car much. I replied the antifreeze should be good for 3 to 4 years. As he walked away calling me sir with an attitude. I have used this business for over 20 years.

I recently visited Take 5 Oil Change for a standard oil change and was disappointed with the experience. Despite clearly stating that I only wanted an oil change, the technician was overly aggressive in pushing additional services. Additionally, the cost was unexpectedly higher than what I’ve paid for similar services at Valvoline. To make matters worse, the overall environment was uncomfortable. A homeless individual was loudly shouting obscenities near the shop, creating an unsettling atmosphere. Given these concerns, I would not recommend this location—especially for women or anyone visiting alone. The company should address both their pricing transparency and the overall customer experience to create a more professional and welcoming environment.
