Worst service ever. I love my Maverick truck, and my husband loves his Bronco. But after today, I give up on Encinitas Ford service. This is my third try at obtaining service at this place. I understand that they get backed up and it might take a bit longer than expected, but they don't communicate and seem unconcerned. I made a morning appointment last week for an oil change and checked the "wait for service" option. I showed up this morning before the appointment, and waited to check in -- it took over 30 minutes to simply drop my car off. Eventually Terry checked me in. I sat down and waited for about 10 minutes, then went for a walk. I figured it would take a while, but after 4 hours and no text, it seemed excessive. Back at the dealership, I finally received a text message at 12:40. My car would not be ready until 2-4pm -- that's 5-7 hours to wait. I approached Terry, who was clearly completely unconcerned that I would be spending all day at the dealership when I had booked a "wait on" appointment. He told me that he didn't see me waiting, so they took care of everyone he did see waiting. Who knew you have to be present and visible for the service you book? I told him if he had given me a headsup, I could have made other plans. Instead of trying to resolve the problem, he told me "we aren't a quick service outfit - that's why we don't advertise..." Well, that really pissed me off. In fact,t hey have "specials" on service and I get emails promoting their service. The last oil change I had here took 4 hours but at least they were friendly. And my husband's last oil change took a little longer than that. We are done. I'm back home, and my truck still needs an oil change. I guess I will find a "quick change" service -- or maybe just a place that gives a darn about their customers.
