Discount Tire

I’ve been to all Discount Tire locations in the Upstate. This one and the Congaree Rd location are nestled a little bit off the main drag. Unlike Woodruff Road, Wade Hampton, and Anderson making left turns to leave a little difficult. All have great service when I have gone. However, at the Spartanburg location they put the wrong new tires on. Not a huge deal because I noticed before I got too far away. They pulled it right back in and fixed it. Just noting that it would be a good idea to check before you drive off. While Discount Tire can be fast, fast may not mean efficient. Especially since the tire I ordered Michelin Cross Climate 2’s and they put on Defender 2’s. Both are good tires, but completely different treads.

The team at Discount Tires was extremely helpful and took the extra steps to expedite my tire replacement. They were knowledgeable and professional. My replacement tire arrived on time and was put on promptly to allow me to get back to work.

I couldn't have been more pleased with my visit. I apparently developed belt separation in 3 of my 4 tires I purchased new 21 months ago. I called Discount Tire and explained my situation to one of the Supervisors. I asked him if I could replace the tires with the same brand. He said they would have to order them and they would be there the next day. Another Supervisor called me the next morning and said they had arrived and to come in but warned me of a probable wait. The shop was extremely busy since they were shorthanded. I did wait in line until Shawn greeted me and took my info. He did examine the tires in the lot and came back in to do the math on prorating all four tires. He was very diligent to apply every discount for which I was eligible and also my Veterans'discount. He gave me an estimate of a two hour wait, which gave me an opportunity to eat lunch in the shopping area adjacent to the store. The car was taken in ten minutes earlier than estimated and was finished within forty five minutes. Reese did the installation of the tires and I have not had any problems. In summary, great communication, excellent customer service and warranty assistance ! Thanks guys, you all were a big help ! I appreciated it very much...

They are absolutely AMAZING! My son needed two tires and his car was stranded, so I came and got one (plus put new tires on my car while I was at it). Then, I had to run back to my son's car, put the new tire on, take another tire off, and get back before they closed. I just missed their closing time, but they were kind enough to go head and take care of me! The whole experience was amazing and they are so kind and pleasant to work with. I would have given them 5 stars even before my mad dash to beat the clock at the last minute - but now.. they deserve SO MUCH MORE!

Very busy location, highly suggest making an appointment in advance if possible. Walk-ins are always welcome. I needed to have one of my tires patched. The tire associate was friendly, professional, and thorough. The service was free, and they even had a tire in my tire's size in stock on clearance if needed. Luckily, I didn't need the tire in stock. I will definitely use their services again in the future.

My girlfriend had a nail in her tire basically in the sidewall, so had to be taken care of. We live a ways away, but she had a warranty on her fairly new tires so had to come to a Discount, so didn't make it in until about 5:15. There was a full house when we pulled up, but they still managed to fit us in and get her new tire put on before they closed up. We were the last customers in there, and you could tell they had more than a couple late walk-ins. Even though their closing time is posted as 6pm, they were nice enough to get us taken care of even when it meant everybody staying late. They honored her warranty and got her new tire on in 10-15 minutes once they could finally pull her car into the garage. Everyone we talked to from start to finish was great and personable and professional. They've got a glass wall facing the garage and everybody was just working hard and getting their job done. Tempers could have gotten high, workers could have been rude or short, or they could have turned us away. But they all did a great job taking care of our problem at a less-than-ideal time right before (and after) close. Always nice to see people who want to work and do the job with nothing but professionalism. Highly recommend this particular Discount Tire.

Luke took great care of me. Found the correct performance tires for my Corvette and had them delivered the next day. Price was the same as Amazon. The technician pulled my car into the shop a little earlier than my appointment time. Used a torque wrench to properly install the wheels. Waiting room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The Dorman Center Discount Tires store in Spartanburg I would not recommend to anyone. The level of customer service experience was terrible and highly unprofessional. The first time I went to put the tires on they didn't put my spare tires back into the trunk. I had to go back into the store to ask for them. It took them about 30 minutes to get them. The saleman didn't notate that I wanted my two back tires back in the vehicle. About two weeks later I went back to the store. I went back because one of my tires went flat for no reason. They told me that they didn't know what happened. These were my new set of tires. Also, I went back a few weeks later and told the associate I had a nail in my tire. He told me that it was a rock and told me to get it out myself instead of checking it to be sure. Several weeks later I was getting off from work one evening and noticed that my tire was completely flat. I had to get roadside assistance to come and change so that I could get home safely. I ordered a continental tire told them what I wanted. As far as I wanted the new tire put on and switched out with the one that went flat. Several minutes later I took the vehicle back they put a spare tire on and put the nail with the tire back into the trunk with no spare tire. The third trip that I made to them was about the continental tire was correct but the rim for the spare tire was different. The associate argued with me and made it to appear as if I was confused or in the wrongdoing when it was actually their fault. The associates in this store horseplay around, act as if they are confused and dont know what you are talking about and dont active listen to you about what your needs and wants are as a customer. Basically it is highly disrepectful. Discount Tire in the location will definitely lose alot of customers if they don't get together and communicate.

Family has recently bought 2 sets of tires from this place. ON BOTH OCCASIONS BOTH SETS WERE “out of Stock” And nobody was notified. They tried to up-sale a different brand of tires that were more expensive. UPDATE: once I received notification my tires were in stock, Bryson was fantastic and professional. I am very happy with my rim and tire job. Thank you.
