Alternative Solution Car Care

I can't recommend this place highly enough. I've been bringing my car(s) here for years. Alternative Solution are fair, reasonable, and honest. Half the reason I keep buying Hondas is because I don't want to ever have to go anywhere else for repairs and oil changes. I absolutely trust the people at Alternative.

Basic Oil Change Gone Wrong... I went in for a full Engine Oil, Transmission Fluid, and Differential Oil change. And was advised by Tom to wait a bit longer for the Transmission Fluid and Differential change. After only getting the engine oil changed, I opened my door the next morning and noticed my fender was slightly misaligned, and the sideskirt was popped out at the spot where the the jack would go to lift the car. I called and drove up to have them take a look at it and reschedule an appointment to fix the alignment and was pleased with the outcome. Until I noticed a wet spot under my car in the driveway. I thought it was moisture, but it stayed. And after backing my car in instead of pulling in forward there is another oil stain. I'm not going up a third.. no fourth time to fix an oil change I could've/would've done myself in the first place and not have had any issues. However, the conversation was nice, and the people were friendly.

I recently took my 2014 Lexus ES350 to Alternative Solutions for an oil change. The service from Tom and his staff was excellent. My car was returned ahead of schedule, and the price of the oil change was fantastic. I had been going to the Lexus and Toyota dealerships for years for service and paying so much more! It’s also nice because I get to support a local business in Cleveland Heights. We will be bringing our cars here in the future. I really appreciated their hospitality.

The employee’s are nice and care about your car. I drop my car off in the morning and receive a call around 12:00pm, letting me know they were finished. This is the only place I go to get my car fixed.

I'm a 10+ year customer and have owned cars for 40 + years. This place is the best I've ever encountered. High quality work while always treating your budget like it was theirs--they are smart and conservative. Almost always they can find a good way to repair with less cost. They will never take advantage of you and always think of future issues and how you should think about repairs or replacement. If you are nearby (I come 30 minutes away on the far west of Cleveland, despite inconvenience) and have one of their specialties, you should definitely check them out. Should be Best of Cleveland. Probably Ohio and the Midwest, too.

I would highly recommend Alternative Solution. Just today, my car would not start, I called Tom and he said they could get the car in to look at it the next day. Luckily, my car was close by their shop and had AAA tow the car there this afternoon. I have been using their shop for a number of years to service my Toyota and Honda vehicles and appreciate their honest and reliable business.

Excellent service and fair prices. They take care of you! The parking lot is a little tight and they keep busy, so it’s best to call ahead before you take over your vehicle.
