AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

Needed a complete rebuild of my transmission. Went to 2 different dealerships and both gave me different answers of what MIGHT be the fix. Brought my car to AAMCO and got immediate answers. Would not have trusted anyone else to do this rebuild! They were professional and got the job done correctly. I have had no issues since they did the rebuild.

Brought my wife’s vehicle into AAMCO Transmissions in Boardman, Ohio for a shuddering when shifting between gears. Unfortunately, I ended up needing an entire transmission rebuild but the guys at AAMCO did a fantastic job! The new build shifts like butter and honestly smoother than it was from factory. Can’t recommend these guys enough for any issues you have with your transmission!

By far the best shop I’ve ever taken my car to! They made a prior situation right from another company “Rouzzos” and were on standby anytime I needed help! Larry and his techs are phenomenal I absolutely love them! Great work great prices and even Credit options! Fast reliable honest work and just Great men in General! I will never go anywhere else!

Had service on 10/2. The staff were extremely professional & courteous. They provided well informed and price comparable services for the areas for my breaks, rotors, pistons and more. I would definitely use them in the future!

Had a breakdown on Ohio Turnpike and was towed straight here. Larry and his team were able to diagnose a problem that our original mechanic hadn't seen and gave us an easy explanation and solution. His knowledge/attitude was everything. Thank you!

I visited AAMCO transmissions for the first time today and they all were amazing!! Everyone there was extremely nice and helpful. They got me in quickly and was able to figure out all the issues. I would highly recommend going there. I will definitely be telling everyone I know to visit them. I will be going back for any car issues in the future. Thank you for everything AAMCO!!!

I recently had a great experience with the team at AAMCO Transmission. While there was a brief miscommunication at the beginning, Larry quickly proved himself to be an honest, trustworthy man of his word. Both Larry and Caleb were incredibly helpful, reassuring, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. When the transmission went out on my older GMC Yukon, I was feeling very overwhelmed. I was anxious to get my vehicle back on the road as quickly as possible, and they promised next-day completion—and they delivered on that promise! Even though I never got to meet the staff in person, I felt completely taken care of. They made things easy for me, including allowing me to pay over the phone so I could pick up my vehicle after hours. Thank you again, Larry and Caleb, for your kindness and excellent service. You made a stressful situation so much easier, and I will absolutely be referring others to your shop. A heartfelt thank you to AAMCO in Boardman for such a great customer experience!

All you need from a mechanic is honesty. I dropped off my car for only a diagnostic check, was told it would take 2 hours, wound up waiting until the next day, called at 10 am, and then was told that they weren't willing to work on my specific issue. I asked what the problem exactly was and got a vague answer that mentioned an incorrect type of system that my car doesn't have. I flat out asked if they actually did the diagnostic, and they swore that they took my car into a bay and checked it. When I went to pick my car up, I found it parked exactly as I left it, parked face front at a slightly odd angle with the nose a little too out front. Everything I left inside that would have moved if the car was moved was as is. They never touched it. Now, I don't mind if a shop is busy, but don't make an asshole out of me making me wait a day and a half for something you never even did. Be careful of this place.

Being new to the area i googled a mechanic & chose aamco...Larry and Caleb were amazing in customer care reliability and a job well done ...called me after hours to talk about the problem as well as if they notice other issues they let you know. guaranteed good job at a reasonable price highly recommend i will be back ....Greg
