I’ve had good experiences here in the past but yesterday’s visit was my last. Their “courtesy checks” of things they just so happen to be ready to replace for you have gotten out of hand and this is no longer a trustworthy place to stop for a quick oil change. I know they’re instructed to invent up-charges for the ignorant, but yesterday one of their guys *created* an issue so he’d have to fix it. Without asking for permission or explaining why, he opened the passenger door of my car, commented on the groceries and Christmas gifts I had in the front seat, and then started removing my glove compartment to check the cabin filter. It wasn’t clean and it’s due to be replaced, but I wasn’t interested in doing this the week before Christmas. He told me the debris would eventually create problems, I said I understood but wasn’t interested in replacing it at the moment, and he put the glove compartment back in. As soon as I paid for my oil change and left, I immediately heard loud rustling coming from the fan under the dash. I turned around and went back in, and when I explained that my car was now making noise, the guy’s response was “of course it is, that’s what happens when you take out a dirty filter and put it back in.” I told him he should ask for permission to inspect the filter if checking it is going to necessitate an immediate replacement and all he said was “you need a new filter.” That’s not an untrue statement, but the fact remains that his unrequested inspection caused an issue I didn’t have before pulling into Take 5. Thankfully, another employee (I believe his name was Justin) was much nicer and corrected the problem. He took the glove compartment back out, cleared out the leaves that were causing the issue, put it back in, and all was well. Regardless, I won’t be back. If you go for an oil change, decline anything and everything else they want to inspect and sell. Don’t let them touch anything but oil!

Employees were nice and the price was reasonable, I went for an oil change only and like most places they tell you other services you may need. The gentleman went inside of my glove compartment to check a filter (I didnt ask for this) because they said my filter was needing a replacement. Now my car makes weird noises when I turn the heat and air on. Please just do the service requested. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

The two gentleman that took care of me were the nicest technicians I have ever had work on my car. Above and beyond respectful and quick.

Demyan H and Franklin c were on duty when I stopped in for an oil change on 12/10/24. Their fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service made the experience enjoyable and even humorous at times. Thanks again, guys!

Have been a loyal Take 5 customer for years. This place has gone down the tubes. Good luck finding a location with a certified E-check tech. Thanks anyhow for the water, how about you provide the services you advertise. They'll oversell you whatever they can talk you into and you are lucky to get out of there with a basic oil change for under $100. Today I called ahead today to make sure they had a E-check tech available at another location. I was not able to get through to the location, instead transferred to the Take 5 robotic call center. After several minutes to speak with someone, I was told yes, the tech is there all day til 8pm at the Fairview Park location, which the previous Take 5 said was in Rocky River. Show up, no tech. They couldn't tell me any other locations to find a tech. Said they were actually phasing it out and then recommended another E-check location that was closed. The Take 5 employee at the location which the call center "confirmed" stated the phone hasn't rang all day, meaning the call center never actually verified. Tried to call back as the employee said calls should go through directly to the location to ask when the tech would be back, and go figure - it's not reality, you cannot call the location. So I got the call center again. 30 minutes later and two transfers for Take 5 to say that the tech at that location had called off Friday and Saturday, but that I still wasn't talking to customer service. As I was driving home, I asked if they could email me the phone number in case I was disconnected. They said they are not able to do that. I said forget it, not wasting any more time or money on Take 5 if you cannot send me a phone number. Earlier today when I went to get my oil topped off at the North Olmsted location, they just reset a button, didn't add any oil, fluids, and said they were unable to disconnect and reconnect the battery. They also said they did not have a scanner which the DMV recommended to determine why my e-check could not be administered. What a headache. The first time I called the call center they offered me a $25 off my next oil change. The second time I asked what they would do to make up for not verifying before they sent me to a second location. Guess what, they said we can offer you $25 offer your next overpriced oil change. No thank you. Take 5 will kill you with kindness but cannot provide basic services, make a phone call, nor have I ever had an oil in 5 minutes. Shoe up to do E-checks or phase it out. Stop telling people you can provide services you cannot, especially when they call ahead and wait forever and you fail to confirm. Enough is enough.

Thank you Damian for your help and dedication ! For years, I was told my cabin filter couldn't be changed unless I went to a dealer because it was in a hard to reach area. Damian took the time to look up the details of my car and was able to get access to change it! Thank you very much! You are excellent at what you do

I’ve been taking my car here for quite some time just for oil changes since I do all the other maintenance on my car. During my most recent visit, they had taken a look at my engine filter which is nothing new, but they were quite aggressive with taking it apart and removing the filter. Afterwards, I took a look at the filter housing at home to make sure everything was put back together correctly, and it was cracked in two places with missing screws. The housing wasn’t properly reattached, which is not ok. Not to mention, a new housing was over $200. I understand the business of upselling people on maintenance items which means taking things apart, but not if someone inexperienced is destroying your car in the process. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here for service.
