Red Scorpion Offroad llc Introduce

Red Scorpion Offroad LLC, situated at 5071 W Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814, USA, is an auto repair station that distinguishes itself through its specialized focus on custom 4x4 vehicles and off-road modifications. While many auto repair shops handle general vehicle maintenance, Red Scorpion Offroad caters to a niche market, offering expertise in complex and unique automotive challenges that often deter other establishments. Their services extend beyond routine repairs, delving into custom fabrication, specialized component sourcing, and expert installation of performance parts for off-road enthusiasts and owners of custom vehicles.

The environment at Red Scorpion Offroad LLC, while not explicitly detailed in terms of square footage or specific decor, is implied to be a highly capable and specialized workshop. The nature of the work they perform – tackling custom axle repairs, managing complex steering and braking systems on highly modified vehicles, and installing aftermarket performance shocks and lift kits – suggests a facility equipped with the necessary tools, lifts, and machinery to handle heavy-duty and custom fabrication tasks. The high level of technical skill and problem-solving evidenced by customer experiences indicates an organized and efficient workspace, where specialized projects can be undertaken with precision. Given their focus, the environment is likely geared towards functionality and robust repair capabilities, fostering an atmosphere of technical competence and solution-oriented thinking. The interactions described by customers, particularly with Mike and Corey, suggest a welcoming yet professional atmosphere, where complex problems are met with dedication rather than dismissal.

Red Scorpion Offroad LLC provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to custom 4x4 and off-road vehicles. Their core offerings include, but are not limited to:

  • Specialized Axle Repair and Fabrication: They possess unique expertise in dealing with custom and hard-to-find axle components, including the ability to work with OEMs and machine shops to manufacture custom parts when standard replacements are unavailable. This was exemplified by their handling of a custom Dana 44 axle for a highly modified van.
  • Complex System Diagnostics and Repair: They are adept at diagnosing and repairing intricate layered systems, such as steering and braking that incorporate parts from multiple vehicle series (e.g., F-series truck and E-series van parts on a single vehicle). This capability is crucial for custom builds where standard repair procedures may not apply.
  • Off-Road Modifications and Installations: This includes the installation of lift kits, performance shocks (like "cool kid shocks"), and other aftermarket components designed to enhance off-road capability and appearance.
  • General Automotive Repair for Specialized Vehicles: Beyond their custom work, they also handle more conventional repairs like ABS sensor issues and brake replacements, but within the context of highly customized or unique vehicles, demonstrating their versatility.
  • Detailed Documentation: A significant service feature highlighted by a customer is their provision of detailed build sheets, including part numbers for all bearings, races, and replaced components (e.g., Spicer and Dana numbers for axles). This level of documentation is invaluable for owners of custom vehicles, aiding future maintenance and part sourcing.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: They excel at taking on projects that other shops deem too difficult or complex, demonstrating a commitment to finding solutions for unique vehicle problems, even when the customer is stranded far from home.

The features that distinguish Red Scorpion Offroad LLC in the auto repair landscape are numerous and highly valued by their clientele:

  • Unparalleled Expertise in Custom 4x4s: Their deep understanding of custom builds, particularly those involving modifications like Dana 44 axles, sets them apart from general auto repair shops. They embrace complex challenges rather than shying away from them.
  • Resourcefulness and Problem-Solving: The ability to work directly with OEMs and original machine shops to custom-manufacture parts for obsolete or unique components is a testament to their exceptional resourcefulness and commitment to getting the job done right.
  • Exceptional Customer Service and Care: Customers frequently praise the honesty, dedication, and willingness of the team (specifically Mike and Corey) to "go the extra mile." This includes rearranging their schedule to fix an immediate issue or taking the time to explain complex repairs and provide detailed documentation.
  • Trustworthiness and Honesty: The review highlights a strong sense of trust, with the customer explicitly stating that Red Scorpion "did what they said they did and they did it right," especially when compared to previous negative experiences with other shops. This integrity builds lasting customer relationships.
  • Commitment to Quality: Their meticulous approach ensures that repairs are not just done, but done correctly, providing long-term reliability for custom and high-performance vehicles. The fact that a customer is willing to travel a thousand miles for their service underscores this commitment to quality.
  • Personalized Approach: They understand the unique nature of each custom vehicle and the individual needs of its owner, providing tailored solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Red Scorpion Offroad llc Customer Reviews

I've waited a while to write this, halfway not knowing what to say. I drive a custom 4x4 van that is getting a second life. It's got well over 350k miles on it and lots of things are worn completely out. The four wheel drive van market is bananas like a lot of other things and it makes better sense to fix this one than to go get a newer one. In 1997 Advanced Four Wheel drive systems in Salt lake City built a custom tube Dana 44 and installed it under that e350 I own. There are no part numbers online, no standard drawings, and if you try to look it up it basically does not exist. This causes me issues when I try to get it worked on. I have been told flatly to get it out of shops before because they did not want the hassle of dealing with it. The steering and braking systems are layered 150 and 350 stuff with both f series truck parts and e series van parts. Well. Those axle shafts were worn completely out. I don't live here. I live in Louisiana and was working in Morristown TN. The axle shafts failed during the recent snow event. That was a bummer because the van had left a reputable shop in Missouri that was supposed to have done a lot of work to the bearings and races in the axles. It did get a new rear differential, new springs, new driveshaft, and other new parts. Some of this was not done ...well ... correctly I guess. All of that has been corrected now. I did not know Mike or Corey over at Red Scorpion at all and had nothing more than the Google machine to guide me to them. I figured if they work on Jeeps then they would be the best choice to work on a custom Dana 44. As far as I understand Jeep has used millions of those axles. That was a fantastic decision. I knew going into this that nothing was going to be fast or cheap. That's just how that works. Mike and Corey worked with the OEM in Salt Lake and the original machine shop to manufacture new axles. This is not something that is on the shelf. Just to make it clear the vans are wider than the F series trucks. About an inch. That's a lot in an axle shaft. Thankfully the OEM had a physical file in a cabinet on that axle shaft. I had quite a few other things done with them such as ABS sensors - that no one knew what was. Maybe it's a truck maybe it's a van. New brakes - same thing is it a truck or a van lol. Mike and Corey knew. They got everything back together and back to me and everything works as it should. I honestly can't say enough good things about what they did for me. To be stranded 1050 miles from home with a fairly complicated repair just isn't something I look forward to. Most shops would have told me to take it somewhere else. I've had it happen. I know this. I'm so happy they took the time and effort to get this right. Oh and I got the cool kid shocks too. Those look great. That wasn't a straightforward process either. As to "right". I was looking over the bill of the other shop and saw what they said they did. Red Scorpion did what they said they did and they did it right. They provided a build sheet with all part numbers for all bearings and races. They provided me with Spicer and Dana numbers for the axles that were replaced. That alone was worth the stop. That's kinda a big deal. At least it was to me. Would I use them again? Yes. To be a matter of fact I'm going to bring them my custom 1982 Chevy 3+3 with 5.9 Cummins this winter to sort the rest of the way out. Yes. I'm going to bring my four wheel truck a thousand miles to that shop so I know it's done right. If I lived anywhere close to here I wouldn't hesitate to use them. If I owned a Dana 44 and I was in the state of Tennessee I would use them. Period. My only regret was not making myself get the Detroit locker for the rear while it was in there. I'm not a wealthy guy so I'm going to have to wait on that. Mike, Corey and the rest of y'all at Red Scorpion I sincerely thank you. I really appreciate what you guys did for me and I look forward to bringing that Frankenstein Square body to you this winter.

These guys put a lift on my truck and did a great job! A few weeks later when I had a small issue I was surprised when they rearanged their morning, as they opened, just to fix my issue on the spot. That's what you call truly warranting your service and caring about your customers. Sadly you don't find many business that care anymore. So if you're looking for an honest business that will actually go the extra mile for their customers...this is the place!

These guys are legit… they listen to what you want and give you options. They do great work and keep you updated on what’s going on. Can’t ask for a better shop for all your 4x4 needs. I’ll be back soon for more upgrades…

These guys are great ! I've been living with "Death Wobble" (if you know, you know) in my Jeep for several months. I heard about this shop and stopped by. Climbed right under, and after a few tugs, he knew exactly how to fix it. Had one add on after he got into the front end for $100. He called for my approval before adding it to the work order. I now have my Jeep fixed at a reasonable price, and I am a customer for life.
