I am very pleased with the service. They did add cost to a hose here a clamp there that added to the price. Bottom line, I wanted my car back on the road. running better than ever. Thanks guys. .

I was referred to by a friend who had service to his engine and was very satisfied so I was in need of an engine and once I called Michigan Motor Exchange they were very upfront about cost and what was covered as well as what they may need. I picked up my 08 Avalanche and it drives like a brand new truck. The customer service is outstanding and if I ever need anything else serviced I will bring it to the Waterford Mi location. Ask for Chris or Mark. Great place to get your issues resolved the first time.

Chris got my car in quick and beat his own timeline expectations. Dropped my car off Friday and was done by Tuesday. All I can say is these guys are absolute professionals at what they do. From the customer service side as well as replacing my engine. My car runs like it’s brand new again. Michigan motor exchange saved me thousands in stead of buying a new car. Replacing the engine was the right call. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

I manage a fleet of over 50 vehicles and mobile equipment. I normally don’t write comments on the venders we do business with but Michigan Motor Exchange on 8 mile in Detroit is really in a class by themselves. I’ve been managing large fleets for over 50 years and was extremely impressed with the personal attention the entire staff gave us. Larry was our contact and could not have been more helpful. You will not find a better shop.

Great Salesman!, got me. Motor seems good, but a couple things to be aware of. They will nickle and dime you on every little thing and then some. Ended up 2grand more than initial quote. One would expect that if the motor is already apart replacing parts wouldn't incur additional labor??? Not so here. Now the next thing that is more important than even the above mentioned. Did my break in oil change as specified per warranty and to my total amazement the drain plug wasn't even finger tight!?!? Literally, now you tell me had this fell out or leaked oil out and caused a catastrophic failure I guarantee they're warranty wouldn't cover the replacement. Just beware. I'll update as I put more miles on. I believe they do good work but the average Joe is going to open the pocket book here.

I have used them for multiple engines over 20+ years. Several stock long blocks one of which is still perfect almost 15 years later. They did a performance short block for my van that has gone almost 30k mile flawlessly. Just had a 302 short block done for a current project. Quality work done quickly, always friendly, hard to beat pricing.

I had my '72 Olds Cutlass motor built. Chris and his crew really took care of it. We started with a plan and then added a few upgrades in the process! Communication was great, and the whole process was timely. I would recommend you check this shop!!
