MBM- Brakes, Steering, & Suspension Customer Reviews

We bought a brake conversion kit through ground up their manufacturers were not able to send it to us, so they contacted MBM and they sent it to us. In the process of installing the rear brake lines we misplaced a small bracket,I contacted MBM directly and was refered to David Ziller he is the best went above and beyond to help locate this bracket, best customer service I have with any parts company I would give David 100% star rating.Plus all your employees that I spoke with were very helpful.

I lost a spring for a rear disc brake kit from MBM. I called everywhere looking for a spring. Finally called MBM and told them what had happened. Dave said he had one and would ship it out the same day. I wish all street rod company's took care of their customers like they did me. What a great help Dave was. Will do business with them again for sure.

I would give them one star if it was possible. I ordered two complete power disc brake conversion. one for a 1968 mustang and 1966 galaxy. the mustang i was sent to bad boosters. the push rod broke on both boosters at the weld (thankfully on bleeding the brakes). Then on the galaxy the calipers had the banjo bolt was in a spot that hit on the frame witch caused me to loose turning. I would not recommend this company to anyone at all for anything. they have absolutely have no tech line at all to ask any questions about there horrible design of a brake system.

I had a customer purchase a brake conversion kit through Speedway and needed specs on the rotor on a new kit because the rotor was incorrect (wanted to be sure this one would work). They were not able to help me but told me they got their kits from MBM brakes and gave me their phone number and said they would be able to help me out. I called and got sent over to a salesman who told me he had no idea, when I asked if he knew how I could find the answer so we didn't order a 3rd incorrect kit he said honestly he's extremely busy and has much more important things to do and this is the least of his worries, I am on the very bottom of his list. Well don't worry sir I am sorry I wasted your time trying to purchase a $600 brake conversion kit. ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will be sure myself and my customer do not buy anything from this company.

The worst customer service I have ever had dealing with car parts. MBM Brakes sells complete conversion kits for classic cars. Mine is a 66 Plymouth Body. I want to covert my 4 wheel drums, no power brakes to 4 wheel disc, manual master cylinder. If you don't know, other companies buy their brake kits directly from them, or also known as drop shipping. For instance, an eBay seller, name withheld, sells complete kits for my car, but they dont stock it, and when I order, it comes directly from MBM, not the company you order from. MBM has numerous companies they order from. Don't believe me? Just look at the stock photo for each kit. They are almost identical. So, thats not the problem. Each of these separate companies set their own pricing. I found the same kits from different retailers at way different prices. The difference in one kit was well over $400.00. Here is my problem. They all list a front conversion kit with a master cylinder that doesn't require a power booster. The only difference is the master cylinder pushrod length which is shorter ( I think!). When I try to find a four wheel kit, none of them have one without a power booster, but all of the components are the same. I don't need the power booster which adds hundreds of dollars on. The retailers can't do it unless they modify their kit requirements. One retailer told me to call MBM direct which I did. I spoke to the salesman who seemed nice at first. I told him my dilemma and asked if he could put together a kit and if I could buy it from him myself. He said yes and then asked me what the pricing was online from the other sellers, as MBM doesn't set retail pricing. When i told them that the off ebay retailer was asking around $600.00 for the front kit and the eBay seller was asking $970.00 for the same exact kit, he said in a nasty voice " There is no way we can match that, we just got hit with the tariffs" (paraphrasing). He then just hung up on me!!! What??? He would even let me finish or give me a price. I wasn't asking for a discount nor am I cheap. I just wanted to know if he could put together a kit for me but he just hung up. This is who MBM wants selling their product??? I am back at square one. I still need the kit. Now, I am going to have to piece this order together instead of one stop shopping. In all my years i have bought parts, cars etc, I have never met a part salesman or saleswoman for that matter that was rude. Never. This guy gives MBM a bad name.
