My daughter recently moved to Asheville and had some concerns with her car before taking a trip. Bobby at Monteath's not only worked her car in before leaving, he checked her car out and reassured her everything was safe and did not find any issues for her trip. He was very kind and patient with any questions she had and even told not to worry about a bill but maybe remember them if she had anything needed down the road. This reminds me of how I grew up, treating people with respect and honesty and I am so thankful she has someone nearby if there is anything she needs for her car. Highly recommend Monteath's Auto Service for you automotive needs!

I've been going to Monteath's for years. Bob has always taken good care of me. He is honest, down to earth, and dependable. He's exactly what you want in a mechanic. Great guy, great service. Take note, this shop is old school with very little space to wait on your car, so plan ahead, especially in bad weather.

I was recommended this place by some of my friends living in Asheville. I am from out of town and was very stressed about some sounds my car was making. Even though they were busy, they checked it real quick, filled some power steering fluid and sent me on my way. Being away from home and having car trouble is very stressful and I couldn’t have been sent to a better auto shop. Thank you so much for taking care of this out of towner.

I can't recommend this shop enough - affordable, knowledgeable, communicative, efficient and kind! Their expertise paired with personal care for their customers is unlike anything I've experienced in a long while. Not only did they fix my jeep, they explained the process to me in a way that was easy for me to understand and gave me confidence I was good hands. I'll be going back to Monteath for any future auto needs I may have.
