I have been happy with the service in the past, but this last time I was not happy. I was told that the $255 diagnosis fee would be waived if the work was done and that the car was still under warranty. I had brought the car earlier this year and they fixed the door under warranty. I was told that as long as the issue wasn’t from a previous accident, water damage, etc. it should be covered. When they diagnosed the issue with the window, which needed a new motor and regulator, it suddenly wasn’t under warranty. Not only that, but they quoted me $1,680 to fix or I would have to pay the $255. I got a quote elsewhere to fix for $800. I have paid the $255 to bring the car to be fixed elsewhere. Wasn’t happy with that experience at all. The car is a 2016, but only has 43,000 miles, so I feel like it should still be under warranty or should have been more clear about what was under warranty before having me sign the $255 diagnostic fee. If someone at Hyundai could help with my experience, I would really appreciate it. Again, I have had good experiences in the past, but this last one might turn me away from the brand.

Service team is great but why do you bother making appointments if you can only really honor the first appointments of each day? Today I arrived at the 11:30am appointment time but had to wait 45min just to check in. Then because of poor time management my oil change took over two more hours. I got the truck back at 2:45..so over 3 hours for what takes 45min at jiffy lube! But I do appreciate the price: ZERO. That part is awesome. Please Hyundai Santa Monica: do better when people make appointments. Don’t turn away people who just drive in…but make them wait until all appointments are handled. Thanks

While making a reservation for service, I mentioned that there was no power in my car’s cigarette lighter socket and that the air conditioning has been blowing weakly since I first got the vehicle. I requested that these issues be checked during the service. The gentleman who took the reservation told me he would make a note of it. When I delivered the car to the service center, I reminded the cosultant lady there of these problems again, but she tried to sell me additional services instead. Two hours later, I received a message saying my car was ready. When I went to the office, they told me only the complimentary service was performed, and the other issues could be addressed for an additional fee. I said the prices were too high and declined. When I asked why the air conditioning and power outlet were not checked, the consultant lady said she forgot and that if I waited, those inspections would take until the evening. (I earn money with my car, so every hour I’m not working means financial loss for me.) I wonder if my car was neglected because I didn’t accept the additional services, even though it’s still under warranty. Also, for the first time, I saw a car returned without being washed at a service center

Been here three times since buying my Hyundai. The team are very professional and the services were quick. The one time I came because of a battery problem and the team first checked the warranty and then replaced the battery for free. They are honest and fair. My latest service representative was Livier and she was very helpful and checked in with me and made the process smooth.

The entire process of getting service was smooth and comfortable and the Hyundai representative was very knowledgeable and courteous. We would have given Hyundai a 5-star review, however our vehicle still displays a message stating that we need service.
