I went in for a simple oil change at BMW Santa Monica and left with a nightmare. They didn't fully close the oil drain cap. It flew off while I was driving on the freeway, causing oil to leak everywhere. My car started malfunctioning, and I had to pull over in a panic, find a safe place to park, and then the car completely stopped working. I was stranded for three hours in the sun waiting for a tow truck. This kind of negligence is unacceptable — it could have caused a serious accident. I will definitely be looking into filing a case for negligence. I expected professionalism from a certified BMW service center, but this experience was anything but. Avoid this place if you value your car — and your safety.

Parts kid didn’t seem educated enough about standard standard - like a super standard wear part on Bmws. Ended up telling me they didn’t stock it I assume because he had no idea what I was talking about…. Of course you stock center support bearings !!!!!

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at the dealership. I dropped off my car at 9 AM and clearly communicated to my service advisor that I needed it back by 3 PM to pick up my toddler. Unfortunately, despite my efforts to reach out throughout the day, I received no updates. Finally, at 1 PM, I got a call stating that my car would be ready in a couple of hours. When I asked why I hadn’t been contacted earlier, I was told their texting system was down. This lack of communication is simply unacceptable. I arrived at the dealership at 3:45, expecting my car to be ready, only to be told it wasn’t. After waiting an additional 90 minutes, I received a text from the mechanic with a link to inform no additional services were needed. This indicated that my car hadn’t even been touched until around 3 PM—exactly when I needed it back! Around 5:30, my advisor finally handed me the paperwork, but when I inquired about the texting issue, the cashier claimed there was no problem with the system. This left me questioning my advisor's honesty. After waiting another 15 minutes, I approached my advisor again to ask how much longer it would take. He said he would check, but I noticed my car still waiting to be washed. The person in charge of washing it explained there was a delay due to another customer's request to have his car washed again. By this point, I was incredibly frustrated and just wanted my car to leave. When I expressed my concerns to my advisor, he seemed completely oblivious and unsympathetic. He never once apologized for the inconvenience, which only added to my frustration. I questioned why they would schedule services without the manpower to provide decent care. He was speechless and simply asked if I wanted to wait for a car wash. This has been the worst service I’ve ever experienced at a BMW dealership, and as a loyal BMW owner for over 30 years, I expected so much better. I am genuinely unhappy with how this situation was handled.

Overall good. Service reps are not very talkative. Kind of a no nonsense straight to the point communication style. But service was fast. They recorded a video to show the status of my car and the condition of the breaks and tires. They let me know when my car was done (not every place I’ve been to does this so kudos) and have a discounted rate Uber service which was very nice.

Customer service is nonexistent. I had to drop off my car to simply get a tire replaced. They did not have a tire in stock so I have had to Uber to and from work because they wouldn’t give me a rental. I just called asking if my car was ready to be picked up and was told the car was being worked on but the person who answered the call refused to give me a time as to when it would be ready. We are simply talking about replacing a tire. I will never lease a BMW again. My experience with Porsche was completely the opposite. If you’re looking to be taken care of and like a valued customer don’t go with BMW.
