Flow Volkswagen of Asheville - Service

I have a battery on warranty that’s less than 2 years old. I called on Friday to get it replaced. The first person I spoke with said that even though the battery is on warranty, I’d have to pay for the install and registration. That’s a couple hundred bucks. I called the dealer where I bought the battery, and they said it’s 100% covered. I called this dealer back and let them know I’m on vacation and this is my only car. They “squeezed me in” the schedule for Tuesday. I called Spartanburg VW and they said they do the battery immediately. Asheville needs to train their phone people a little better.

The last two experiences I have had with this service department have been HORRIBLE!! Specifically in regard to the customer service from the service managers. Most recently Jesse was very disrespectful and laughed at me (I’m a female) when I was trying to understand what was going on with my car. And the tech failed to provide information in a timely manner like he said he would in his video reviewing the work that needed to be done.

Had to have two new keys programmed for the Passat. They have stepped up the service game at Flow Volkswagen, and a shout out to William and team that kept me informed throughout the service call on my vehicle. I was back in action in under 90 minutes because I ordered parts in advance with the parts department. They knew exactly my issue, solved it, and got me back on the road. Thanks yall!

Dropped off my car there for an issue with my ebrake. 2 days later I told them i really needed to pick it up. it wasn’t even close to ready, and they raised the price by $1000. Way overpriced for the service I needed. Don’t go here they just want your money.

First, the good part. The service center and its employees are first-rate in courtesy, cleanliness, and appearance. We made an appointment for an oil change and an air bag error light. The charge for the diagnostics on the airbag error alone was $190. To fix it would be over $300. While we waited, the mechanic came up with over $5K of "recommended" services. The car is 5 years old, has less than 70K miles on it, and has had all the recommended factory service, so I doubt it is in this dire condition. We had them change the oil. The visit was over $500. We just returned to NC from Florida and have not experienced this level of upselling at a dealer before. We will look elsewhere for a VW mechanic.

We bought a pre-owend Hyundai Palisade from Flow VW of AVL. Jackie did an amazing job. We drove up an hour and half up from the Greenville, SC area and she had almost all of the paperwork ready for us to go over. Ben over in finance did a wonderful job as well. We were in and out in less than 90 minutes! In the future if I have to buy another car, I’ll definitely consider Jackie at VW of Avl!
