Quick and easy 1 year warranty service. Had coffee in the waiting area, listened to some music, read the news, and then voila, the car was coming out of the wash. :). Oscar was great!

My experience with this service started from 2019 when I first bought my car at the dealership. The car had engine light on after a few days' driving. It's not the service's fault, but I had to bring the car to the service for 3 times until they figured out the issue and fixed it. Then fast forwarding to the recent, when I had to bring the car there for a recall. First time, they said they can't do it as I have too much gas in the tank. Second time, I came with the right amount of gas, but they said it's a Friday before MLK weekend and 10am is too late for them to start the work. Also a guy working there rushed trough a door(they even put up a sign there saying watch cross traffic) and the door hit my finger hard. The guy didn't apologize and just walked away. Then I decided that I will never come back so I scheduled an appointment with Serramonte VW. People there toke care of the recall within a day in the following week and you know what, they are super friendly and even washed my car after the service.

We bought a 1 year old factory certified Jetta from Winn Volkswagen in Newark 2 years ago. We were talked into buying a “Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle Service Protection Vehicle Service Contract” which meant we would have to get our Jetta serviced at an authorized VW service center. We chose Boardwalk. We brought our car in for scheduled service in 2023 and asked them to check the brakes as they were squealing. We were told that it was most likely dust on the brakes and that these vehicles are notorious for this. The brakes kept squealing and when we brought the car back Mach of 2024 , we again asked them to look at the brakes as they were still squealing. We were again told it was dust in the brakes. A few months later, we noticed that the front tires were wearing down quickly and unevenly. Not trusting Boardwalk at this point, we brought our car to our mechanic who discovered a loose nut with rusted threads on a front tie rod. We had him fix it as it was a safety issue at this point and spent almost $2000.00. We actually visited the dealership to talk with them about these findings and showed them the picture our mechanic shared with us. We were told that although a safety check had been performed both times on our car, “sometimes we miss things”. We will never bring our car back to Boardwalk for service.

My Golf GTI 2017 transmission oil service was done here for cheaper than another highly rated local mechanic. They also allowed me to provide the oil and parts which was not allowed at the other mechanic. Would highly recommend for any routine maintenance. Alex is also a very communicative and respectful representative for Volkswagen service department.
