Horrible service, do NOT buy a battery here. Spent the extra money to buy a battery with a 48 month warranty well above cost of other batteries almost double in price. 1 year after purchase battery is dead. Truck charging system checked by two separate technicians. Truck is fine. Went to the store for replacement receipt in hand. They stated battery is dead, no duh, needs to be charged and checked. Overnight process. Next day battery is charged they state it's fine. Take battery home reinstall in truck. 1 week later guess what battery dead again. Take battery out make trip to store. They want to charge it again and repeat process. I ask how many time this has to happen and they state its part of their process. Very frustrating . Went to COSTCO and purchased a battery there. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere.

I have been a loyal customer for several years since Duracell car batteries are great. I recently took my car for a battery check and was advised to replace. When I asked store rep to apply current 20% discount promotion, I was told I can only receive for online order. Ok, no problem, picked one in stock rushed through the e-menu & success. Store rep promptly installed but just as he was finishing, I realized I hadn’t entered the discount code. Yes, my bad! But I was dismayed when store rep said nothing could be done on his end. So I promptly called 800 Customer Service & was basically told the same. The $40 savings I would have received will not break me, but I am disappointed with their inability to rectify my honest mistake.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Terrible diagnostics and worse customer service! I returned a battery I purchased for my Toyota months previously because it wouldn't hold a charge. Batteries Plus kept the battery overnight to charge and test it. They told me the battery was fine. They also tested everything with the battery re-installed and stated the battery was fine so something must be wrong with my Toyota. I took my Toyota to a mechanic and paid $90 to learn my car is fine but a cell in the battery was bad. I took it back to Batteries Plus and a different guy tested it and confirmed the battery was bad. I asked what would be done to compensate me for the $90 I needlessly spent because Batteries Plus misdiagnosed my battery. While I figured they wouldn’t reimburse me even though it was their mistake, I expected them to at least say they were sorry and maybe a minimal gesture such as a partial refund/discount on my original purchase or an upgrade on the replacement. I received nothing except a snarky attitude from the old guy helping me and his insistence that the "notes" in his computer says it tested fine. Clearly the original diagnostic was wrong because the same battery subsequently tested bad twice. He also stated he was doing me a favor by replacing the battery. I reminded him that that’s what a warranty is all about and he shouldn’t suggest I was getting anything special. He brought out a replacement battery that clearly looked as if it had already been in a car or sitting on a back shelf for years. It was dirty and the labels looked old and didn’t match my battery. There were no post caps on it and no plastic bag containing the battery exhaust tube adapter that were attached to other batteries on the shelves. When I questioned this he grabbed another battery off the shelf that looked identical to the one I was returning. Initially I thought he was giving me that new battery but then realized he was only taking the tube adapter from it and still planned to give me the dirty, old-looking battery. When I insisted on the new battery, he made a few more snarky comments as he reluctantly gave it to me. I’ve purchased a number of batteries here, including for golf carts but NEVER AGAIN. There are a lot of places who sell batteries.

I was frustrated to have to drive all the way to Vista from East County after finding out this location was the only one in San Diego that was still open. My car battery was on its last legs and needed to be replaced. Luckily, it was still under warranty. Despite the long drive that took a couple hours out of my work day, what started as a bothersome, stressful event was made better by the service Wayne provided. He was so friendly and knowledgeable and got me back on the road quickly, and I’m grateful. If you’re in the area and need a new battery, I highly recommend this location.

Visited Batteries Plus in Vista and Wayne graciously helped me. He replaced a watch battery that I was worried leaked into the watch. Wayne is awesome and thanks so much for your excellent service!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Like many other reviews, I spent extra money for a specific car battery that had a 5 year warranty. I started having issues with my battery a couple months ago and took it to this branch. After "testing" it, they said it was likely the alternator. I charged the battery and had a friend test the amperage; everything showed as fine. Within a few weeks, the issues continued. Thinking the employee's recommendation was correct, I took it to my local mechanic where they tested the battery and the alternator. The alternator and charging came back normal, but the battery was at 0%, 11.7V, and 0% health. Customer service was no help. They initially said that the warranty was voided because the charge was at 0%, then tried questioning the validity of my complaint because "no one at the store remembered" me and that my battery was never kept overnight for testing (a service that was never offered to me). My mechanic was upset for me and started handling the conversation after seeing they were taking advantage of my limited car knowledge. Customer service became flustered because it was clear they weren't doing the right thing. Why offer a warranty if you're going to be in clear violation of it? And, notice how all comments to these reviews are the same. It's an apology but zero attempt to make anything better. It's a true sign a company does not actually care about its customers.

I’ve bought my batteries for my Jeep here and installed myself. Great experience. This time around I was in a time crunch and needed two batteries installed on a diesel vehicle. I ordered online and went in the next day. Although they were really busy, they made the effort to get me in and out as quick as they could. Only place I get my vehicle batteries from.
