I'm so conflicted about this place. Long story short my dad used to bring his car to this shop, so he told me about it. I brought my car there and Ming was way more honest with me, and quoted a price that was much lower than where I brought it before. But I've tried to go there since and it's almost impossible because he doesn't answer the phone. I even got his cell # and it seemed like the phone wasn't in service. Then I tried just showing up a little after 9am and the place was closed. I'm not sure what's going on or if this place is even open anymore but it was great when I actually got service there.

Very honest work and Andre is great. I took my Audi A4 there thinking I needed new breaks, oil, change, etc., and after he checked the car out on spot he told me breaks were fine and it saved me a lot of money where as other mechanics might have just done the breaks without saying anything. Highly recommend, especially if you live in Long Island City, Astoria, Sunnyside area

Took my car to get it fixed here. Heard some great reviews about the guy who runs the place. Price was affordable and all, only problem is my car stopped running once again after two days. Apparently, he changed the alternator, but now I had to take my car to Toyota Care Center because I can't trust another third party mechanic to fix my car. Toyota is now telling me that they need to change the alternator again because it's faulty. It's going to cost me $1,204. Not cool Andre.

I am impressed! Andre is a straight shooter. His work ethic and integrity lives up to the other things I read about him on Google and on the CarTalk web site. Andre checked a car we were considering the purchase of and came back with a thorough inspection report, with short list of things that were wrong. Andre helped us see that these problems in context, noting that none were not so severe as to warrant rejecting the vehicle. The price Andre charged us was very reasonable. He offered to reinspect the vehicle after the dealer fixed the problems for free. I would recommend Barnet Auto to anyone and will definitely go to Andre if and when there is the need.

Best old school school mechanic. He diagnosed and ordered the parts immediately. The next day my car was ready. Price was 30% cheaper less than the dealer who wanted me to wait 4 days. I recommend this place.
