American Diesel Service LLC Customer Reviews

I spent some time researching the work I needed done to my 2005 Ford F250 with the "infamous" 6.0 liter engine (208,000 mile). I settled on American Diesel Service and was not disappointed. Matt, the owner, gave me a very accurate quote on the price to "bulletproof" my truck. They scheduled the work where I could leave it at their shop for about a week and so I could make two long trips with my camping trailer to Colorado and Wyoming shortly after the work was completed. The mechanic, a different Matt, did a tremendous job replacing the parts that are often faulty on this engine along with a complete replacement of the injectors. It now runs like new and has pulled my camper about 3,500 miles with no issues since the work was completed. I live in Los Alamos, or I would use this shop for all of my diesel maintenance. I'm hoping for another 200,000 miles on my newly "bulletproofed" 6.0 engine.

These guys are the best, hands-down. As a woman with a diesel truck it is so nice to be treated with respect by a mechanic shop. They listen carefully when I describe problems and get them diagnosed and fixed as timely as they can. They also communicate very well about possible delays in getting parts due to supply chain issues. Just this week I called about an issue with my truck. I spoke with Matt and told him I was really in a bind because I need the truck running by the weekend to haul hay. Matt was able to diagnose the issue over the phone and ordered the part for me ahead of time. This kind of customer service is rare and so appreciated. And they really, really know their stuff. I rely heavily on my truck and I trust them completely to take care of it. I’ve been bringing my truck here for 7 years for maintenance and repairs and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

These guys are the best of the best. They've been taking care of my 2007 Dodge 3500 6.7 for close to 300,000 miles now, and they understand these trucks like no other shop. I've made the mistake of going elsewhere (usually when on a road trip far away, of course!) and I generally have to take the truck back to Matt and Mike to fix whatever someone else tried to fix. Reasonable, reliable, and they stand behind their work - I've never less the place less than completely satisfied. Do yourself a favor and keep your truck running forever with these guys - with the price that Dodge wants for a new one, I know I'll be driving this one for a long time!

I must say that this is probably one of the most honest mechanics I've ever been had my trucks serviced at. One of my trucks had a bad injector and thermostat. I took it to them and they found that I had a bad cylinder. They easily could've charged me to do the injector and thermostat as a bandaid fix and down the road the engine would've given out on me. They recommended that the truck wasn't even worth fixing at that rate. Thanks Mike and team for your honesty and saving me time and money. I highly recommend them.

I took my truck to them to redo my complete front suspension and specifically requested all MOOG parts. They did the work and I got the truck back. Drove the truck for 11 months and the front suspension felt loose, took it back under warranty and they said that the parts purchased were the lowest end components they could possibly put on there in order to save money, this was not conveyed to me at the time of purchase. They did replace the parts and this time they told me that they put OEM parts on. I still had to pay for another alignment but they replaced the parts. I left and a couple days later noticed it feeling loose again on the drivers side. Got down to look and the shock was not bolted to the shock mount, the bolt was completely gone, then i noticed that my skid plates were no longer on my truck either and neither were the hardware to mount them. I refuse to take my truck back to them, they can't even put the parts back on the truck correctly, they charge you for more expensive parts than what they actually put on your truck. They are scam artists just trying to get money out of you any way they can. If you value the safety of you and your family do not trust them with your vehicle!
