Toyota Service Introduce
Located at 2555 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512, USA, **Toyota Service** is an established auto repair station serving the local community with a focus on Toyota vehicles. This facility functions as a comprehensive resource for owners seeking both parts and maintenance or repair services for their Toyota cars, trucks, and SUVs. Operating under the category of "Auto Repair Stations," it aims to provide specialized care and genuine Toyota parts for optimal vehicle performance and longevity.
The facility's accessibility is a key aspect, situated on 28th Street SE, a prominent thoroughfare in Grand Rapids, making it relatively easy for local users to find and access. While specific details about the interior environment, such as waiting areas or service bays, are not extensively detailed in public information, a Toyota service center typically features a clean and organized environment. These centers are generally designed to offer a comfortable waiting area for customers, often equipped with amenities like Wi-Fi, refreshments, and sometimes even a children's play area. The service bays themselves are usually modern and well-lit, designed to accommodate the latest diagnostic equipment and tools necessary for servicing contemporary Toyota models. The staff in such environments, including service advisors and technicians, are typically expected to present a professional demeanor, aiming to provide a customer-centric experience.
The core of Toyota Service’s offerings revolves around **maintenance, diagnosis, and repair for Toyota vehicles**. As an authorized or affiliated Toyota service center, their services typically encompass a broad range of automotive needs. This includes routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and replacements (including transmission fluid), filter replacements, and brake inspections and services. Beyond routine upkeep, they are equipped to handle more complex diagnostic issues, addressing check engine lights, unusual noises, or performance problems. Their technicians are generally factory-trained, specializing in Toyota vehicle architecture, electronics, and mechanical systems. They utilize specialized diagnostic tools and possess in-depth knowledge of Toyota's recommended service procedures and specifications. This includes services like comprehensive vehicle inspections, air conditioning system repair, suspension work, battery checks and replacements, and more intricate engine or transmission repairs. Furthermore, being a dedicated Toyota service center implies direct access to genuine Toyota parts, ensuring that replacements are manufactured to the original equipment standards, which can be crucial for maintaining vehicle warranty and performance.
The features that differentiate Toyota Service, as with any dealership-affiliated service center, often include the use of **genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts** and access to the latest technical information and training directly from Toyota. This ensures that repairs and maintenance are performed according to the manufacturer’s exact specifications, potentially leading to better longevity and reliability for the vehicle compared to using aftermarket parts or independent shops that may not have access to the same resources. The specialized training of their technicians on Toyota-specific systems and technologies is another key feature, ideally leading to more accurate diagnoses and efficient repairs. They are also likely to have access to Toyota’s official service bulletins and recalls, ensuring that any known issues with a vehicle model can be proactively addressed.
However, customer experiences can vary, and this is an important aspect to consider for local users. One customer review highlights a concerning experience, citing **"terrible customer service"** and describing tactics as **"deceitful"** and **"almost a scam."** This individual reported being quoted one price for a transmission fluid service over the phone and online, only to be told upon arrival that the base rate would be significantly higher. Furthermore, a "shop supplies fee" was added after the service, which the customer found questionable given the nature of the service. A critical point raised was the alleged deviation from Toyota's recommended procedure for transmission fluid replacement, with the service supposedly performed by simply measuring the amount drained and replacing it, rather than following the prescribed method of slight overfilling and draining at proper transmission temperature. This particular review expresses regret and a strong recommendation against using their services, suggesting other local options like Crown and Kool for better experiences.
Conversely, another customer shared a remarkably positive experience that underscores a different aspect of their service. In an "embarrassing situation" involving a tangled seatbelt that trapped a passenger, Toyota Service demonstrated **"extreme helpfulness and generosity."** Despite being towards the end of the working day, the staff immediately assessed the situation, pulled the vehicle into the service center, and instead of simply cutting the seatbelt, they took the time and effort to remove the entire seat to free the passenger safely. They then generously undertook the challenging job of reassembling the entire seatbelt and trim work. This review expresses significant gratitude, highlighting a level of care and willingness to go above and beyond what might typically be expected from an auto service center, particularly for a non-standard and urgent issue. This demonstrates that while some customers may have negative experiences related to pricing and procedure, others may encounter instances of exceptional service and genuine assistance.
As for promotional information, Toyota Service, like most dealerships, likely engages in various promotions to attract and retain customers. These can include seasonal maintenance specials, discounts on specific services (e.g., tire rotations, brake checks), or offers on genuine Toyota parts. They might also provide loyalty programs or extended warranty options. However, specific current promotional offers are not available from the provided information. Prospective customers are encouraged to contact them directly at **(616) 333-6591** or **+1 616-333-6591** or visit their facility at 2555 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512, USA, to inquire about current deals or to schedule service appointments. Given the mixed customer reviews, it would be prudent for new customers to confirm pricing and service procedures in detail before committing to any work, perhaps getting quotes in writing where possible, to ensure clarity and avoid potential misunderstandings.

Toyota Service Customer Reviews
Terrible customer service. Deceitful. Almost a scam. They quoted me by phone and text the same price on what should be a simple-to-estimate service of draining and filing my Toyota's transmission fluid. When I scheduled in their online portal a similar price was attached to my requested service. Upon arriving they immediately took my vehicle back and then told me the base rate would be $60 more than what I had been quoted. I had called the other local dealers to compare rates so this seemed like a quite deceitful tactic to lure me in and then immediately jack the rate to well above what the other dealers were quoting me. The tech did not care at all and said there was nothing that could be done, demanding I sign on the line to agree to pay for the service that was already starting. I asked to speak with the manager who eventually agreed to match their own quoted price which I had in writing/text. After the service was completed I was asked to pay and there was then a $40+ "shop supplies fee" added onto my initial quote. Considering the service completed likely required no/minimal shop supplies, im assuming this was just a ploy to get me to pay more in the end or maybe they are really tacking this on to all services which seems questionable as well. Either way, they seem to be professional crooks. On top of this all, the service summary outlined that they did not even replace my Toyota's transmission fluid per Toyota's recommended procedure of slightly overfilling and then opening the drain port at proper tranny temp (the only reason I didn't do this myself as I don't have a scanner that will show the temp): they instead used the not recommended method of only measuring the amount that came out and putting that amount back in...i sure hope whoever owned this vehicle before me had the correct amount in the tranny to begin with. I regret servicing my vehicle there and wont recommend them to anybody. I went through a Toyota dealer assuming they would follow Toyota's recommended methods, they did not and overcharged me on top of it. I should have read/heeded to other reviews before using them. It seems Crown and Kool are much better local options.

Kind of an embarrassing situation. My husband was in the passenger side of our Toyota and somehow the seat belt strap became so tangled that with each attempt to free him we continued to lose slack until the seat belt was so tight the belt retractor was completely stuck in a reverse lock, and he could not even slide out from underneath the tangled mess. It was towards the end of the working day but I drove us to the Toyota service center hoping they would be willing to safely cut him loose. When we arrived they immediately assessed the situation, had us pull in to the service center, and then instead of destroying the seat belt they took the time to get out the tools to remove the entire seat belt to free him and then they generously continued with the challenging job of reassembling the entire seat belt and trim work. An embarrassing story to tell, but it means a lot to us to express our gratitude to the Toyota service center. I was very moved by their extreme helpfulness and generosity. Thank You Toyota of Grand Rapids for helping my family today.

96$ for Venza 2014 oil change only lol lol never come back again :)))) Bought that SUV from here; it runs only 18 mpg too less comparing to our Sienna more than 25 mpg, so we asked for a quick check up see if something can happen to it; the guy just say no and tell us it normal like he does not care; bad service ever.

The most dishonest service I've ever had. Continuously disappoints me after every service. This time, they said the right tie rod was stripped and they were unable to perform an alignment because they couldn't remove the part. In the past they've done all the work on my car so they are the ones that stripped it. They just did an alignment last November 2023, so whoever the tech was that did it absolutely screwed it. They then told me it was from normal wear and tear which is absolutely not true. They said I needed to replace the whole steering rod because of this tie rod they couldn't remove and quoted me $2000. I went to where I got my tires put on and they performed an alignment with no issues and walked me through the whole thing, no problems found. So tired of Toyota trying to finesse me at every opportunity. It feels predatory and like they're taking advantage of my inexperience with cars.

I just bought a new car with Jason Miller and I cannot recommend him enough! My car was total and I was on the hunt ASAP, Jason got me looking at cars the next day and helped line everything up perfectly. The car I got is also in such great condition and is an awesome car!
