The Detroit Garage

Installed my winter tires in no time but upon 1st pickup, they failed to tell me that I had a bad tire. So I bring the car back with another tire and now I'm seeing that they damaged my wheel. Will adjust rating of they choose to repair/replace the wheel or not. Edit: They have reached out and are going to repair the wheel. It's rare nowadays to have people stand up and fix problems as it's easier to just wipe if off. Super pleased of the final decision

I had an extremely pleasant experience with this mechanic shop. From start to finish, they made everything a breeze. The staff was professional, friendly, and kept me informed every step of the way. What really impressed me was how quickly they completed the work—it only took a few days after receiving my car. I HIGHLY recommend this shop.

This place was absolutely wonderful. Dan was extremely helpful, explains things thoroughly, and truly cares about his customers. I dropped my car off and within 2 hours they called to tell me it was ready. They are fast and efficient. I will never go anywhere else for car troubles now, Detroit Garage is my new go-to place!

I had these gentlemen comb through a vehicle I was looking to buy. I live 12 hours away and could not check out the vehicle for myself. They were professional in their communications with me and they were very thorough in their inspection. In fact the most thorough I've ever had. They sent many pictures and communicated clearly. I can't imagine any mechanicking they would do would be any different. I highly recommend their services.

Amazing place! Manager and technicians are super nice and helpful with advice for the cars and what you need done. Very clean and they are detailed and tell you every step of the way what needs to be done for the car. They let me know the tread on my tires were separating instead of balancing them and charging. Services and prices are super fair and great. Appointment setup , process, and the work they do from start to finish is great and smooth. I will definitely be back for the future! Thank you again!

This may have been one of the best mechanic service I have experienced. I had a work meeting in Livonia (from Battle Creek) when both of my wheel bearings in the front began to go out as I reached my destination. Luckily I made it where I was going, but being out of town and not being familiar with the area I had no option but to go to the closest shop. Plymouth Garage was less than a mile away. Gave them a call, explained the situation to Robert, and he was committed to getting it, at the very least, looked at the same day. Drove it down, dropped it off about 9:30ish, they shuttled me back to my work meeting huge plus! Within a couple of hours they had it diagnosed, and provided me a link via text to a web pages that provided very detailed descriptions with pictures and videos of the problem. Robert told me they’d try their best to get it fixed before they closed up shop for the day. The huge plus was they had a loaner vehicle available I could use to get back home in the event they couldn’t get it done. I decided to wait at shop after my work meeting until close to closing time to see if they could get it done. If not, I planned on using the loaner vehicle, and come back the next day. By 5:45 they were able to fix everything, and were test driving it and I was back on the road heading home by 6. Thank you so much to Robert and the staff at Plymouth Garage. Especially the tech, David Souter, who worked so hard to get my truck back up and running! Would highly recommend this shop, prices were fair, great customer service, and lots of options for people who find themselves in similar situations as I was in.

I am usually a "take it to the dealer" kind of girl. However, this business has changed my mind. They always help me out, no matter how big or small the issue, many times same day (even if the repair itself takes longer, I at least have a diagnosis). They always take the time to answer any questions I have in a way that helps me to understand what's going on, how to prevent future issues if I can, and it never feels condescending. Highly recommend both Dan and Robert - as well as all the technicians - they are great people and truly put their heart into their work!

Great place. I’ve had a couple cars aligned there recently and the service has been great. Manager is very personable and the techs do a free inspection on the car while it’s there so I know what I need to replace soon. Will continue to take my vehicles here in the future!
