Take 5 Oil Change Introduce

For vehicle owners in Medina, Ohio, who prioritize speed and convenience for routine maintenance, Take 5 Oil Change, located at 4215 Pearl Rd, Medina, OH 44256, USA, operates within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category, specializing primarily in quick oil change services. The available customer reviews provide a glimpse into the environment and service quality at this location, highlighting both positive aspects and potential areas of concern for local users.

Based on the customer feedback, the environment at Take 5 Oil Change in Medina appears to be geared towards efficiency and speed, consistent with the "take 5" concept of quick service. The drive-thru model, common for such establishments, allows customers to remain in their vehicles while the oil change is performed, minimizing wait times and maximizing convenience. One reviewer specifically noted that the employee who performed their oil change was "the only one working" yet still managed to keep the line moving and was "extremely nice," suggesting an efficient workflow even under potentially busy conditions. While specific details about the physical appearance of the facility are not mentioned, the focus is clearly on a streamlined service process.

The primary service offered at Take 5 Oil Change is, as the name suggests, oil changes. The first review confirms this, and the second review mentions a "small suv synthetic" oil change. This indicates that they handle various types of oil changes, including synthetic oil, which is required for many modern vehicles and offers enhanced engine protection. It's reasonable to infer that, as a quick lube service, they likely offer related fluid checks and top-offs (e.g., windshield washer fluid, coolant), as well as filter replacements (oil filter, air filter, cabin air filter) as part of their standard or optional services. While the platform category is "Auto Repair Stations," the emphasis here is clearly on rapid, routine maintenance rather than complex mechanical repairs.

One of the key features highlighted in the positive review is the exceptional customer service provided by the staff. The employee who performed the oil change is described as "GREAT" and "extremely nice," even while working alone and managing a line of customers. This suggests a commitment to customer satisfaction through friendly and efficient service. The second review also praises the manager, Garrett, as "excellent" and highly recommends him, indicating that competent and helpful management is another positive feature of this location.

However, the second review also brings attention to a significant potential concern regarding the pricing quoted by the corporate office versus the actual price at the store. The reviewer states that the corporate office runs a "scam" by lying about prices on the phone to attract business. They were quoted $56 for a synthetic oil change for a small SUV but were charged $67 plus tax at the store. While the final price was still deemed "pretty good" by the reviewer, the discrepancy between the quoted and actual price is a serious issue that could lead to customer dissatisfaction and a feeling of being misled. This suggests a potential disconnect between the corporate marketing practices and the pricing at the local level, which customers should be aware of.

The provided information does not explicitly mention any promotional offers specific to the Take 5 Oil Change in Medina. However, quick lube chains often have national or regional promotions, such as discounts on oil changes, package deals that include additional services, or coupons that can be found online or through local mailers. Given the negative comment about the corporate office's pricing practices, it would be advisable for local users to inquire directly about the exact price of the services they need at the Medina location before proceeding. It might also be prudent to ask about any available discounts or coupons that could help offset the potential difference from a corporate quote.

In conclusion, Take 5 Oil Change in Medina, OH, offers a convenient drive-thru service for quick oil changes and likely other routine maintenance tasks. The local staff, particularly the employee mentioned in the first review and the manager Garrett, are praised for their excellent customer service and efficiency. However, potential customers should be aware of a reported issue with price quotes from the corporate office not matching the in-store pricing. While the final price experienced by one reviewer was still considered reasonable, it is crucial for local users to verify the pricing for their specific vehicle and service needs directly with the Medina location. The focus here is on speed and friendly service for basic maintenance, but transparency in pricing is an area that potential customers should pay attention to.

For residents of Medina, OH, looking for a fast oil change, Take 5 Oil Change on Pearl Road offers a potentially convenient option with reports of friendly and efficient local staff. However, the discrepancy noted between the corporate price quote and the actual in-store price is a significant factor to consider. Local users are advised to call the Medina location directly at (330) 591-9173 or +1 330-591-9173 to confirm the price for their vehicle's oil change and to inquire about any available discounts or promotions to ensure they receive transparent and satisfactory service.

Take 5 Oil Change Customer Reviews

Had a great experience! The guy who did my oil change was the only one working and he was GREAT! He kept the line moving and was extremely nice! Will definitely return.

The manager Garrett today was excellent, highly recommend. As far as their corporate office, they run a scam to try and get business by lying to customers on the phone for the price. Beware. My small suv synthetic $67 plus tax- pretty good. Not what I was quoted- $56.

Take 5 is quick but they aren’t honest. My car uses synthetic oil & is good for 5k miles. Ok, on their little window sticker it tells me 3k miles. I wasn’t aware & was never told to add 2k miles to the window sticker. So, I went @ 3k miles & do you think they would tell me this before they change my oil!? NO, they didn’t. They told me afterwards. They NEVER made me aware of this at any other visit. I’m NOT happy about this, I feel they’ve been ripping me off. They’ve been withholding information. Yeah, I guess I’m guilty as well for not paying closer attention to my mileage. Not sure if I’ll go back. I’m going to look for another business to give my hard earned money to!

I took a video of the $4.99 BS charge in fine print. They told me I cannot take a video In their store. Then the manager told the other guy to lock the door and call the cops, so they basically locked me in thier store until the cops showed up and had to tell him I’m allowed to take videos. Check out the videos on TikTok “take five oil change”. It’s pretty funny Beware of the Bullshit charge on you bill.

Expensive, bad work, and harassment. They literally ripped off the splash shield off of the bottom of the car (Honda dealer repaired for free). Worker overfilled my oil and presented the dipstick like it was good. I noted it was over filled. He told me it is their policy to overfill the engine oil on all cars that need their coolant flushed. Then he suggested I pay to have my coolant flushed. When I protested he said I would have to pay to get it drained out of the drain plug to be below the max fill line. It was about a half inch over the max fill line. I can just imagine him tricking my mother into paying for a bunch of stuff she does not need. I put in a complaint with corporate. 10 minutes later the man who just serviced my car called me to harass me for putting in the complaint. The man told me if I wanted to change their policy of over filling oil, I should get a job at Take5… I followed up on the complaint with corporate. I was told the regional manager would contact me. It has been 3 weeks since the incident and I have not been contacted by the regional manager. If you got an oil change at take 5, check your oil level. Over filling engine oil can damage your engine.
