South County Lexus Service

I literally just had an outstanding experience with South County Lexus in performing a 30,000 mile service on my 2023 LS500 F-sport! The service writer Maria, was great! Excellent communication on all updates and was an absolute five star process. Thank you, Maria and South County Lexus!

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Service Advisor’s Hassan at Dealership South County Lexus. Unfortunately, I feel compelled to share my experience to help others avoid similar issues. During my last three visits, I was informed that my transmission fluid was urgently needed to be flush (replace 100%). Trusting the advisor’s expertise, I agreed to the recommended services. However, after consulting with the mechanic, I discovered that many of the suggested services are unnecessary at my vehicle and are done differently than the advisor told me. This was not only misleading but also resulted in significant overcharging. Also, the mechanic checked the moisture in the brake fluid, and he said that it's over 3% and need to be replace it. That was surprising, because last year in May 2023 I had my car serviced at the same place and I paid to replace 100% of the brake fluid, it is impossible that brake fluid gets so much moisture in just one year or 20,000 miles when, generally, brake fluid absorbs moisture at a rate of about 1% per year. So, having over 3% moisture in just one year is unusual, especially if the fluid was replaced last year. If the brake fluid has absorbed that much moisture in such a short time, it raises questions about whether the service was done correctly or if the right type of brake fluid was used?  The Lexus manufacturers recommended changing the brake fluid every 3 years or 30,000 miles. That make me think if they even replaced the brake fluid last year or not, or if they used different brake fluid that the Lexus recommend. Additionally, I found discrepancies in the billing. Charges were added for 1 qt of transmission fluid that were neither discussed nor authorized. I called Hassan about these issues; he didn't respond or returned my calls. I expect honesty and transparency when dealing with service advisors, especially at a reputable dealership like Lexus. Unfortunately, this experience has eroded my trust in this dealership. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and addresses these practices to ensure other customers do not face similar issues.

I just found out that this dealer/service Dept. Sold my 81 yr old mother who has onset dementia a $300 oil change (adding whatever unnecessary thing they could think of) and found a part to "fix" for $550. I see the $295 parts online for $30-60. I'd ask how they can sleep at night, but they're obviously OK with it in the pursuit of the almighty dollar. BEWARE...

I had a terrible experience with South County Lexus. They failed to pay off my trade-in vehicle on time, which resulted in extra money being owed on the old loan. To make matters worse, they took out a proxy loan with Toyota in my name and instructed me to pick up a check from my own personal credit union. After doing so they failed to pay off the Toyota loan and have been unresponsive in fixing the issue. Their handling of this situation has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend doing business with them.

They will over charge you on Basics like a Oil Change your batter off taking it to a standard oil change shop and labor per hour here is more than what your Dentist would charge you ouch take your business else where.
