Ohio E-Check

have never been to an Ohio E-check and that makes sense because we just moved here about month ago from out of State. Over all it was a pleasant experience, not busy at all and we were done in under 10 minutes. The best part is that we didn't have to pay any money out of pocket. In California they are private smog check businesses and you have to pay between $60 and $75 depending where you go. I wanted to add that the attendants were very nice and helpful, especially to a new resident like myself.

It was fast, easy, no line. You do not even need to get out of the car. They also have a self check station available for newer cars. Cannot say that I loved it because I feel it is a waste of tax money. But if you have to do it, it is not a bad station to go to.

as one would expect with any govt entity that deals w the public, i am.dissapointed. its already a nuisance having to get this stupid test every cpl years in hopes that this will somehow improve the air quality. as it may have seemed a good idea at the time, the vehicles and engines that caus the greatest air pollution are somehow exempt. and now since its a free service, its an agency depending on tax dollars to.keep it in existance. what a waste. its time for.polititions

The attendants were very helpful and professional and even taught me a few things. You can get full service or self service on the kiosk. They also have a vehicle registration kiosk in the lobby so that you can get everything done in one trip. Sure made it easy, Thanks!

Ah yes, the Ohio Vehicle Emissions Inspection Station—a shining example of government overreach at its absolute finest. Nothing screams “efficient use of taxpayer dollars” like forcing law-abiding citizens to sit in an endless line just to have some underpaid worker plug in a scanner, wait five seconds, and then tell me what I already knew: my car is perfectly fine. Let’s be real—this entire process is nothing but a cash grab for the corrupt Northeast Ohio government. They claim it’s about “clean air” and “environmental responsibility,” but let’s not kid ourselves. We all know this is just another way to nickel-and-dime taxpayers while factories and diesel-spewing semis get a free pass. But sure, let’s pretend my little sedan is single-handedly destroying the ozone layer. Makes perfect sense! And don’t even get me started on the absurdity of the whole operation. The lanes are a mess, the workers look like they’d rather be anywhere else, and the whole thing is about as well-organized as a toddler’s birthday party. But hey, at least they’ve got the nerve to act like they’re doing me a favor. Oh wow, thank you so much for this delightful experience—I’ll be sure to cherish the memory of this wasted afternoon forever. In conclusion, this entire thing is nothing more than a glorified tax disguised as “public service.” But of course, we all just have to shut up and deal with it, because the government says so. Can’t wait to come back next year and donate even more of my time and money to this joke of a system.

The people here are friendly and it’s always super fast. I purchased the stickers for my plates while there which was an added bonus for convenience. Highly recommend!
