Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center Introduce

Located at 1900 W Maple Rd, Troy, MI 48084, USA, Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center operates as a dedicated "Auto Repair Station" with a specialized focus on collision repair. This facility is part of the larger Mike Savoie Chevrolet dealership, providing essential services for vehicles that have sustained damage from accidents. For inquiries and service, the Collision Center can be reached by phone at (800) 731-8276 or via mobile at +1 800-731-8276.

The environment at Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center elicits mixed reactions from customers. On one hand, the physical space is implied to be capable of handling significant repair work, as evidenced by a car being fixed and detailed in just three days after hitting a deer. This suggests an organized and efficient workshop. The positive review highlights courteous staff and impressive service, indicating a professional demeanor. On the other hand, a detailed negative review paints a picture of a challenging customer service environment marked by a severe lack of communication and disrespectful interactions. This suggests that while the physical facility may be adept at repairs, the customer experience can vary greatly, with communication being a critical point of concern. The environment, therefore, can be perceived as highly efficient in terms of repair turnaround when things go smoothly, but potentially frustrating when issues arise, particularly concerning information flow and dispute resolution. A customer visiting should be prepared for potential variations in the communication aspect of their experience.

As an "Auto Repair Station" specifically designated as a "Collision Center," Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center provides a specialized range of services and goods focused on restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Their core offerings include:

  • **Collision Repair**: Comprehensive repair of damage sustained in accidents, ranging from minor dents and scratches to major structural damage. This includes body panel replacement, frame straightening, and component repair.
  • **Cosmetic Repair**: Addressing aesthetic damage such as paint scratches, dings, and bumper scuffs.
  • **Paint Services**: Professional paint matching and refinishing to seamlessly blend repaired areas with the rest of the vehicle.
  • **Parts Ordering and Management**: Efficiently ordering necessary replacement parts, as highlighted by a customer review. As a dealership-affiliated center, they likely have access to genuine OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts for Chevrolet vehicles, and potentially for other makes.
  • **Insurance Claim Handling**: A significant service provided is managing the repair process in coordination with insurance companies. They take pictures and handle communication with the insurance provider, aiming to streamline the process for the customer.
  • **Vehicle Detailing**: A notable service mentioned by a satisfied customer is the thorough detailing of the entire car upon completion of repairs, including cleaning of all-weather mats, which adds significant value to the service.
  • **Rental/Loaner Car Coordination**: While customer experience may vary, they facilitate the use of loaner cars or assist with rental arrangements, as mentioned in one of the reviews.
Their ability to fix a deer-damaged car in just three days underscores their capacity for rapid and effective repair work.

The distinguishing features of Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center are somewhat dual-faceted based on the provided reviews. On the positive side, a key feature is their **efficiency and speed in completing repairs**. Fixing a significant deer-related damage in just three days is a remarkable turnaround time, demonstrating a highly organized and skilled repair process. Another strong feature is their **ability to manage insurance claims effectively**, taking pictures and handling communication directly with the insurance company, which significantly eases the burden on the vehicle owner. The **quality of the repair work** is also highlighted, with one customer stating their car looked "beautiful" and was "detailed right down to the all weather mats" upon return. This attention to detail in the final delivery is a positive differentiator. The courteousness of the staff, as experienced by some, contributes to a pleasant interaction. However, a significant area of concern and a distinguishing feature in a negative light is the **inconsistent and sometimes severely lacking communication**, as detailed in the negative review. This can lead to frustration regarding repair timelines, unexpected uncovered damages, and a perceived lack of respect in customer interactions. While they excel in the physical repair process, communication appears to be an area where customer experiences can diverge dramatically.

While specific, publicly advertised promotional information for Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center is not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, collision centers typically offer certain benefits or engage in practices that act as promotions. As a dealership-affiliated collision center, they might offer:

  • **Genuine OEM Parts**: Ensuring repairs are done with parts specifically designed for the vehicle, which can be seen as a value-added service, often backed by manufacturer warranties.
  • **Lifetime Warranty on Repairs**: Many reputable collision centers, especially those associated with dealerships, offer a lifetime warranty on the workmanship and paint, providing long-term peace of mind.
  • **Insurance Claim Assistance**: Their proactive role in handling insurance claims simplifies the process for the customer, which is a significant practical benefit.
  • **Detailing Services**: The complimentary detailing upon repair completion, as mentioned by a customer, is a valuable bonus that enhances customer satisfaction.
Given the nature of collision repairs, which are often covered by insurance, direct "discounts" may be less frequent than in general auto repair. However, the efficiency of their service, especially if it helps reduce rental car duration, can translate into indirect savings for customers. For local users in Troy, MI, and surrounding areas, it is advisable to contact Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center directly at (800) 731-8276 to discuss their specific repair needs, inquire about their processes, and confirm any current policies regarding insurance coordination, repair timelines, or potential complimentary services like detailing. While some customers have had outstanding experiences with their repair quality and speed, it is prudent to establish clear communication expectations from the outset to ensure a smooth process.

Mike Savoie Chevrolet Collision Center Customer Reviews

After hitting a deer, I took my car to Mike Savoie first for an estimate. They took pictures, took care of everything with the insurance company, ordered the parts and fixed it in 3 days. When I got it back it was beautiful and the whole car was detailed right down to the all weather mats! And the people were very courteous. I was impressed with the service I got at Mike Savoie Collision. Thank you!

Terrible customer service. Brian in collision talked a great game about how he would keep in communication once I dropped my car off for repair both with the timing of the repair and about working closely with the insurance co, letting me know how things were progressing. Not only did he not communicate with me about my car taking several weeks longer but he didn't give me the courtesy of calling to tell me a portion of the damage was not going to be covered and what would I like to do about it. My insurance company also did not let me know and couldn't even properly explain it once I called to question it (yes, that's my progressive agents poor understanding and poor communication). I found out only after an off hand comment made by John in collision called to tell me my car was ready. While I am trying to figure out why damage done in one accident by two different cars had to have 2 different claims with two different deductibles I hung onto the loaner car a couple days longer hoping it would be figured out quickly and if I had to I would pay to have the remainder fixed while my car was already there. I tried to get ahold of Brian to let him know my frustration with the lack of communication and see what he needed me to do about the loaner, hang on to it for them to fix the rest of the car or bring the loaner in and bring the car back another day. The supervisor picked up and when I tried to communicate my frustration with the way it was all being handled (I'm leaving some things out)he kept insisting as he was yelling that I wanted him to fix the car without a form of payment. He just refused to LISTEN to me that it was the lack of communication I was upset about and not that I expected them to fix something for free. He could care less about anything I was saying. What he did do was become completely and arrogantly disrespectful and treat me like I was trying to scam everyone. He insisted they went "above and beyond" for me (lack of communication and giving me a loaner I really didn't need since I had rental insurance, yelling and not listening???) Many things can be avoided or at least resolved with good customer service. I didn't see an ounce of that. I haven't picked my car up yet (the collision guy said Monday since I was at work and they are not there Saturday) so I haven't seen their quality of work yet.

I went to Mike Savoie Service to get my leased car leather seats replaced since the paint was worn out after a year. After they replaced my car seats I noticed some scratches on the plastic seat sides, like someone took sand paper and rubbed it vigorously. I reported this to management and they attempted to buff it out and fix it so it's not as noticeable. I also wanted some body work done at the collision center, but the manager Rob was rude and kept telling me that I would be better off to not get the work done and it's a waste of his time since he has several corvettes that take priority in his mind. He kept postponing my service date, first telling me it was going to be 1 1/2 weeks out, then it became 2 1/2 weeks out, then finally 3 weeks out. He never admitted to postponing my service date at the body shop, and after I complained about it to another manager, Jeff called me and said I'm not welcome back to their dealership. I even ordered parts from their dealership and they wouldn't let me pick them up either. Horrible experience and bad management, better to go elsewhere.

Had my front grille damaged by another driver in a parking lot while I was in a store. Not a lot of damage, but it's a lease, so it had to be fixed. When I called, they were booked for 2 weeks out. It being a smaller repair job and the front grill being in stock - they told me to bring it in the following Monday and they'd have it back to me on Wednesday. DONE! On time, as promised AND they cleaned the outside; as well as the inside, of my car (Yuk! Good ol' Michigan winters and salt)!! This Collision Center team is as amazing, dependable and reliable as their Service team! If you read my other reviews about this dealership, you'll see time after time they are "leading example" of Excellence in Quality and Performance. LOVE them!
