I trusted this shop to fix the main issue with my car and agreed to additional repairs based on that assurance. After spending several thousand dollars, the original problem remains. They didn’t properly adapt the transmission, left numerous bolts loose, and charged me for a second visit just to confirm it still wasn’t fixed. Very disappointed.

Picked up my car. Drove it less than a mile. Hood popped up smashed my windshield and significantly damaged my hood. They refused to take responsibility despite multiple admissions of guilt. After taking it back to them they were obviously were trying to angle to avoid responsibility. They even asked if I had other work done on it. They offeree to pay for my deductible and I would be willing to bet had I accepted they would have jacked up the prices of parts and labor to get money from the insurance company. I will reporting them to the BBB and filing a complaint with the Michigan State Attorney General's office

I have been a customer of Auto Europe since 1996/97 for parts, service and auto purchases. Most recently picked up a 2024 Lotus Emira from them, which was a 3+ year process from start to delivery! They have always been great to work with, very professional, focused on the customer experience and are knowledgeable on a wide range of vehicles - they have serviced / repaired Ferrari, Lotus, Porsche, Panoz, BMW, Mercedes, Vipers, Bentley and other makes of vehicles for me over the years. Their parts dept is second to none in the US, esp for Lotus. And they offer full services for new wheels, tires and alignments. The techs keep themselves and your vehicles clean, and their detail dept does a great job should you want your car gone through before pickup. Front office staff is always friendly and thorough. Very pleased to give Auto Europe / Lotus of Detroit a positive recommendation!

Summary: Great product, great service, highly recommended!! The Details: I bought a 2005 Lotus Elise from Auto Europe (technically, it was on consignment, but I could hardly tell). I live in Colorado so I had to do it all remotely. Nathan Schick helped me out, and did a wonderful job of giving me all of the details I asked for. He was highly professional, friendly, communicative, informative, and patient. I couldn't be happier with the experience he gave me. In my case, the car had some aftermarket parts on it so I hired a third party to give me a pre-purchase inspection. Nathan was very helpful to the gentleman they sent, and he followed up afterwards by taking the car out of storage, putting it on a lift, taking the underbody panels off, and taking pictures when I had additional questions. From there he helped me with shipping, and had the car delivered to me before I even had the paperwork back to him! Overall I can't recommend this place highly enough. I've bought multiple cars without being able to see them in person beforehand, and this was the best experience I've had doing so. (And if you read my other reviews, you'll notice I don't hold back if the experience is poor.) If I have another opportunity to buy a car from Nathan I won't have any hesitation to do so.

I've been an Auto Europe customer for a few years now and have had my Evora in a few handful of times– everything from routine fluids to help with aftermarket motorsports parts, continued track alignments and harness installs. It's great having a shop that combines niche support for Lotus (and the other mfgs they cover) and are also knowledgeable and enthusiastic (I recommend their events/track days) about track prepped cars. The consistency is also really important; Michael M. handles my service management every time now and knows the car well, as do their techs. I love not having to explain all the quirks of my setup, they just know what to do!
