Suburban Auto Parts Introduce

For vehicle owners and repair professionals in Troy, MI 48084, sourcing the correct and reliable auto parts is a fundamental aspect of vehicle maintenance and repair. Within the broader platform category of **Auto Repair Stations**, which encompasses businesses providing automotive goods and services, **Suburban Auto Parts** positions itself as a supplier of these essential components. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective and detailed overview of this establishment, encompassing its operational environment, the goods it offers, its reported features, and any available promotional information, based on publicly accessible online data, specifically customer reviews.

Located at **1795 Maplelawn Rd, Troy, MI 48084, USA**, Suburban Auto Parts is situated to serve the automotive needs of the Troy community and surrounding areas. As an auto parts store, its physical environment would typically consist of a retail counter for customer interactions and a warehouse or storage area for its inventory. While detailed visual descriptions of the premises are not available, a well-organized auto parts store would feature clearly labeled shelving, efficient inventory management systems, and a clean, accessible space for customers to browse or pick up parts. The counter area would facilitate order placement, inquiries, and customer service. Given that many auto parts businesses also operate online, the physical location might primarily serve as a pickup point or a base for local inventory. The efficiency and organization of this environment directly impact a customer's ability to quickly obtain the parts they need. However, the provided customer reviews raise concerns about their operational responsiveness, which could reflect on the efficiency of their internal processes, regardless of the physical layout.

As an **Auto Parts Store** within the **Auto Repair Stations** category, Suburban Auto Parts is in the business of supplying automotive components for a wide range of vehicles. While the specific breadth of their inventory is not fully detailed in the provided information, a typical auto parts store would offer:

  • **Replacement Parts:** This includes essential components for various vehicle systems, such as engine parts (filters, spark plugs, belts, hoses), brake components (pads, rotors, calipers), suspension and steering parts (shocks, struts, tie rods), electrical components (batteries, alternators, starters), and exhaust system components.
  • **OEM and Aftermarket Parts:** Stores generally offer a mix of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts, which are identical to those installed by the vehicle manufacturer, and aftermarket parts, which are produced by other companies and can sometimes offer more affordable alternatives or enhanced performance. The mention of a "wrong part for my MB GLS" suggests they cater to a variety of makes and models, including luxury brands like Mercedes-Benz.
  • **Accessories:** Beyond essential replacement parts, auto parts stores often stock accessories such as floor mats, car covers, cleaning supplies, and customization items.
  • **Tools and Equipment:** Basic automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop supplies might also be available for both professional mechanics and DIY enthusiasts.
  • **Online Sales and Delivery:** Given the nature of modern retail, it is highly probable that Suburban Auto Parts operates an online store for wider reach, allowing customers to order parts for delivery or pickup, a common practice in the auto parts industry. The reviews, which mention "online response to my request and emails," strongly suggest a significant online component to their business operations.
The core service they provide is the efficient and accurate supply of these parts to customers, whether individuals or repair shops.

Regarding features, a reputable auto parts store aims to provide accuracy, availability, and good customer support. Based on the provided customer feedback, the features of Suburban Auto Parts appear to be characterized by both past intentions and current challenges:

  • **Extensive Inventory (Implied):** The fact that customers are ordering parts for specific vehicle models (like an MB GLS) suggests that Suburban Auto Parts attempts to carry a wide range of parts or has access to a broad supplier network.
  • **Customer Service Channels (Phone & Email):** The business provides phone numbers ((248) 744-2694 and +1 248-744-2694) and relies on email for customer interaction, indicating multiple avenues for support. One review mentioned their claim to be "open 7x24," which, if true for online operations, would be a significant feature for accessibility.
However, the available customer reviews highlight significant negative features that severely impact the perception of their service:
  • **Lack of Responsiveness:** A major concern raised is the difficulty in reaching anyone by phone. "There is no one answering the phones at any of their numbers." This directly contradicts any claim of 24/7 service and severely hampers customer's ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • **Refund Issues:** A prominent complaint details a customer not receiving a refund (around $300) for a returned wrong part, despite multiple email exchanges and claims of refund issuance that cannot be verified by the customer's bank. This points to serious issues with their return and refund processing, leading to accusations of being "Complete scammers."
  • **Incorrect Part Shipments:** The instance of sending a "wrong part" for a specific vehicle model indicates potential issues with order accuracy or inventory management.
  • **Inconsistent Communication & Edited Responses:** The claim of "edited responses" in email exchanges further compounds trust issues and suggests a lack of transparency in their communication about unresolved problems.
  • **Operational Struggles (Post-COVID):** One review updates to a 3-star rating, attributing current issues ("no one answering the phones") to potential struggles due to COVID, suggesting that past service might have been better or that recent operational difficulties are impacting customer experience. However, the scamming accusation pre-dates this update and is a separate, more severe concern.
These negative features, particularly the refund dispute and lack of communication, heavily detract from any positive aspects of their business model. For an auto parts store, trust in product accuracy and financial transparency is paramount, and these reviews indicate a significant breakdown in both areas.

In terms of promotional information, specific, time-sensitive deals or ongoing sales for Suburban Auto Parts are not detailed in the provided general online information. Auto parts stores typically use various methods to promote their offerings:

  • **Competitive Pricing:** Often, their main promotion is competitive pricing on a wide range of parts.
  • **Online Discounts:** For businesses with a strong online presence, web-exclusive discounts, free shipping for orders over a certain amount, or loyalty programs are common.
  • **Seasonal Sales:** Offering discounts on certain categories of parts during specific times of the year (e.g., winter maintenance parts in fall, A/C components in spring).
  • **Email Newsletters:** Encouraging customers to subscribe for updates on new inventory or special offers.
However, any promotional efforts by Suburban Auto Parts would be significantly overshadowed by the severe negative customer feedback currently available. The issues of unreturned funds, unresponsiveness, and alleged scamming would deter potential customers far more than any promotional pricing could attract them. For local users, the primary "information" from the internet regarding this business currently points to a highly problematic customer experience, regardless of any potential unstated promotions. The accusations of scamming and keeping customers' money for returned parts are critical and would likely be a major deterrent for any new business.

In conclusion, **Suburban Auto Parts** in Troy, MI, operates as an **Auto Parts Store** aiming to supply various automotive components. While its physical location serves the local community at 1795 Maplelawn Rd and it likely has an online presence, recent public online information, specifically customer reviews, highlights severe concerns. These concerns include a profound lack of responsiveness via phone, documented instances of incorrect parts being shipped and refunds not being issued (leading to accusations of scamming), and edited email communications. While historically there might have been a different perception, the current feedback indicates significant operational and ethical issues that potential customers in Troy, MI, should be acutely aware of. Based on the available data, caution is strongly advised when considering Suburban Auto Parts for your automotive part needs, especially concerning their return and refund policies.

Suburban Auto Parts Customer Reviews

They sent a wrong part for my MB GLS in February. I sent it back per their request but they never issued a refund (~$300). They got the part and kept my money. Multiple email exchanges where they claim the refund was issued via PayPal (I did not pay with PayPal) and edited responses. The bank cannot find any evidence of transaction, and they refuse to do anything with it. Complete scammers.

I am updating my review to 3-stars from earlier today: There is still no one answering the phones, although they claim to be open 7x24. However my request was responded to and a credit is in process. I will be patient and assume folks are struggling due to covid. Previous review: I placed two separate orders with Suburban Auto Parts yesterday. Now I am very concerned. I tried to call to cancel one of the orders right after I realized I had ordered the part in error. There is no one answering the phones at any of their numbers. They have taken my money and all I can do now is wait for an online response to my request and emails.

I placed an order with this company on April 21, 2020. They charged my credit card the same day, sent me the order number and supposedly the tracking number and I haven't heard from them since. I have called and sent an email and I have yet to get a response nor any type of notification. The postal service cannot even locate anything from them. Supposedly they're open 24 hours Monday through Sunday yet when I called again today I was told that they open at 7:00 a.m.Eastern time. I was calling at 3:42 CST.

Be careful!! Their website pictures do not match the parts they are selling. I ordered a part based on the illustration in their catalog (attached). I needed a part as shown in the picture (right side) but the item description is wrong stating Left, Rear Left. Not thinking they would misrepresent the part, I considered I must be confusing Left viewed from Front (which would be Right), rather than Left when seated in the vehicle. At any rate, they shipped the Left, Rear Left part when I ordered the part pictured (right). Would not consider replacement, would not guarantee refund, and would not issue a RMA for return as stated necessary in their Returns policy. I honestly don't know how to order from this company with any hope of getting the right part, and with any chance of customer service after the sale.

Ordered a part early April, supposedly the part was not in stock at their shop, said it would take 10-14 days, waited a whole month to receive the the item and never got it. Contacted them and they said it was delivered, provided me with tracking information that doesn’t even exist in USPS. We never received the part and will never order from this place ever again.
