Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair Introduce

For those in St. Johns, Michigan, and the surrounding communities, finding an auto repair station that combines technical expertise with reliable service is a key factor in keeping vehicles running smoothly. Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair, located at 1917 S Scott Rd, St Johns, MI 48879, USA, operates within the important category of Auto Repair Stations, providing a range of services for local vehicle owners. The establishment can be reached at (517) 214-5796 or via mobile at +1 517-214-5796.

Regarding the environment at Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair, public information doesn't provide extensive details about the physical layout or customer amenities. However, as an auto repair station, it would be expected to have a functional garage space equipped to handle various vehicle repairs. The focus would primarily be on the working bays, diagnostic tools, and the necessary equipment for automotive service. While specific details on a waiting area or customer lounge are not available, the nature of such businesses typically implies a practical setting designed for the efficient intake, diagnosis, and repair of vehicles.

The services offered by Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair encompass general vehicle maintenance and repair. While a comprehensive list of all services is not readily available through the provided information, customer testimonials suggest they handle a variety of automotive issues. One notable account describes a situation where brakes went out, indicating their capability to address critical mechanical failures. Auto repair stations typically offer services ranging from routine oil changes and tire rotations to more complex engine diagnostics, brake repairs, suspension work, and electrical system troubleshooting. Based on the customer interaction described, Mike and his team are prepared to tackle significant and urgent repairs when necessary.

The features of Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair, as depicted by customer experiences, present a mixed picture. One review highlights an instance of exceptional service: a customer from out of town experienced brake failure on a Friday afternoon. Despite closing at 5:30 PM, Mike and his team took on the challenge, even coming in on a Saturday (when they don't normally work) to fix the vehicle by noon. This demonstrates a willingness to "go above and beyond," especially in emergency situations, and a commitment to helping customers even outside regular hours. Such dedication to resolving urgent issues quickly is a significant positive feature, particularly for those in distress or unfamiliar with the local area.

However, another review provides a contrasting perspective, detailing a negative experience. This customer reported waiting a week for their car to be put on a lift, followed by a significant increase in the estimated cost (from $400 to $1000, with potential for more). The customer also alleged misrepresentation of parts needed, specifically mentioning that an invoice listed "lower control arms" when "upper adjustable control arms" were discussed, and that the "lower control arms" were already new. Furthermore, the customer disputed the labor cost for removing "8 bolts" and stated that part prices quoted were higher than those at local auto parts stores like O'Reilly and AutoZone. This review suggests issues with transparency, potentially inflated pricing, and extended repair times, which are critical considerations for potential customers. It indicates a perception of dishonesty and an unsatisfactory customer experience, describing it as "the biggest scam I’ve heard in over 20 years from a mechanic."

Given the available information, promotional aspects of Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair are not explicitly detailed through traditional advertising or discount offers. Instead, their "promotion" largely comes from customer word-of-mouth, which, as seen, can be highly impactful in both positive and negative ways. The positive review highlights their capacity for emergency response and extended effort, serving as a powerful endorsement for their readiness to assist customers in need. Conversely, the negative review acts as a significant deterrent, emphasizing concerns about pricing, honesty, and repair efficiency. For local users, the decision to choose Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair would likely hinge on weighing these conflicting customer experiences. There is no information to suggest specific ongoing deals or special offers; thus, their reputation, as shaped by these varied interactions, serves as their primary public face and a form of indirect promotion. Customers are encouraged to contact them directly for specific service inquiries and estimates, and to perhaps consider the range of customer feedback when making their choice for auto repair needs in St. Johns, MI.

Mike's Busted Knuckle Auto Repair Customer Reviews

Mike and his team were awesome by going above and beyond. Being out of town, my brakes went out.and not knowing who to go to at 3;30p on a Friday…I call Mike. They were leaving at 5:30p but willing to take on the challenge of fixing my vehicle. They came in on a Saturday when they don’t normally work and fixed it by noon on Saturday. Thank you to Mike and his team!!

Told me he wasn’t busy, took the car waited a week to put it I. The air, then calls with a bunch of lies how it went from 400 to 1000 and could be more. Said upper adjustable control arms and give me a 1000$ invoice that says lower controls arms when those are already new and replaced recently along with trailing arms. Biggest scam I’ve heard in over 20 years from a mechanic don’t waste your time and money he wants 1000$ for removing 8 bolts that are not rusty worth of work! And orielly and AutoZone both have cheaper parts so that’s a lie to. Labor is a lie 100%

Exceptional as always. Very nice facility inside and out. Well equipped building offering many services. Professional friendly knowledgeable skilled mechanics. Mike is honest and puts the customers needs first. I've known Mike and relied on his services for many years.

the owner somehow managed to talk himself out of selling us two new upper control arms for a vehicle that has zero upper control arms, and likewise made no mention of the bushing that was torn, ensuring we would become repeat customers. this is exactly the sort of place you should send your enemies to.

I did not have a good experience here. They misdiagnosed my problem, completely missed a coolant leak (that I discovered after they did the diagnostic tests and I had my car back), and never called me back to let me know when the part came in that was ordered to fix my car. Guess that ended up being a blessing because that wasn't even the part that needed replaced. Took my car somewhere else and got it fixed, no issues since. I also had to call multiple times just to even to speak to somebody and anytime I talked to somebody on the phone or in person they were not nice.
