I felt the need to post this because of how dangerous the situation was that the Gerber collision put me in. In February, I got in a minor accident, and insurance sent me here to fix it. everyone was very kind and I got multiple updates through the process. When I finally received my car back, about a week later I noticed it was shaking and had a vibration to it that got worse the faster I would drive. My fiance said it was probably from a bent wheel and had me take it back to this shop to fix it. when I brought it in I told them that I believe it is a bent wheel still from the accident and that the car was also not aligned because it did not shake prior to this accident happening and I had wheels that were less than a year old. They proceeded to take my car around back while I waited for over an hour only for them to to man-splain to me that it was not a bent wheel and that it was normal ware and tare on my tie-rod, and that this was not from the accident, they brought my car around and told me it was safe to drive home. When I returned home my fiance did not believe them and so he jacked my car up only to discover that the wheel I told them was bent was not only visibly bent but the tread was stripped down to the wires (as pictured here) and would have blown at ant point if I were to continue to use it. This not only put me in a potentially incredibly dangerous situation but showed that this company took advantage of me being a women and trusting their judgement. It was incredibly wrong for them to put that tire back on my car (if they ever even took it off to look at it in the first place) and the proceed to let me leave with it in this condition telling me nothing was wrong.

I would put zero stats if it let me. I took my car here after an accident. I had to take it back 4 times to attempt to get the repairs done correctly. In the end, I took it to another shop that completed the repairs properly. They didn't even bolt a key component back in place after they replaced it. Will NOT take anything back to Gerber.

I was really disappointed with the customer service at Gerber. My windshield was broken out from a falling tree limb, and there was glass everywhere inside as well as a little hood damage. Gerber didn't keep me updated on backordered parts or what was going on with the car. The robo-updates made it worse, as I'd get texts that the car would be ready that day when the windshield was still backordered and of course not ready. Better communication from the Gerber side would have helped a lot, as I had to call every time but once to get an update. After the windshield was finally installed, they found further damage and had to order a new dashboard. Again, I didn't find out till the last minute. When I finally arrived to pick up the car, it still had glass shards in the seats and on the floor, plus there was some adhesive that had to be removed. The branch manager detailed it herself. The repairs Gerber did were fine and I have no concern about that. I'm an extremely understanding person, and I know that if parts are backordered there's absolutely nothing that can be done, but a call to let me know this and what was being done would have made me a much, much happier customer.

Bring your car here ! They will take care of you! The front end of my baby was damaged from an accident and luckily I went with Geico’s recommendation John Harris. Deanna and Karen are the best! They give you updates via text alerts & Most importantly they brought my vehicle back to life. 10/10 Highly recommend!

Dropped my car off here, and the entire process was very easy and simple Sadly, they found frame damage and insurance totaled it. But that process was very quick and it didn't sit there very long

Pretty unpleasant experience overall. I thought I’d have trouble with insurance but nope they were great but Gerber was not great at all. For starters they transferred me from one location to another with little to no warning and when I took my truck in they had no clue who I was and had lost or didn’t have any paper work on my truck. What should have been a drop off turned into a hour wait on what they were supposed to do to my truck. When I went to pick up truck they had missing protective stickers that were on before and they had left all the trash from the repair in the bed of my truck for me to clean up. Pretty unprofessional. They said they would call when they got my missing protective stickers and they never called, 4 month went by before I called. They had the part but never called. They tried to push putting that on out 2 weeks and I said that won’t work and all of a sudden they found a time to fit me in the next day. Suspicious. Overall great body work. Pretty crappy and unpleasant customer service. 2/10 just because the body work is good.

The people at this establishment were super friendly and very helpful. However… here is how my experience went. I dropped off my car January 8th and got my car April 9th. They spent 3 months trying to find a door to replace the dented one on my car. Somehow they never even found one. They called 2.5 months into the repair time and said that they would just have to return the car having done no repairs because they couldn’t find one. I proceeded to hop online and find a door for my car in a matter of 20 minutes. I then had to drive from Raleigh with the door and hand it to them… When I received my car, the wiring was all messed up. I had to unplug every input to my headlight and taillight to figure out what went wrong. I still had issues because somehow they managed to mess up my wipers and make them tied to the electrical input that powers my headlight. I found the solution to that issue, which was a bolt holding my ground wire having been forgotten to be tightened. To me, this just shows sheer lack of care and attention to any detail. Had I not been a little competent in working on my car, I would have been so lost and had to send my car back. I’m extremely underwhelmed with my experience. Like I said, super friendly staff, it just took a long time to get my car back in a sorry state.

I dealt with Randy (the manager), Stephanie (the senior estimator), and Christine (the customer service representative). They were all very personable, kind, and professional. I highly recommend this business! It was so refreshing to deal with such nice and honest people!
