If I could give them less than 1 star, I would. We have bought two vehicles from them and we won’t be back. They trick you into thinking you get free oil changes for life but no one mentions that in order to do that you have to be on the family plan which results in every time you go them asking you to pay 1,000 of dollars to pay for things you don’t need. You cannot get them done anywhere else, that doesn’t count. I am just tired of the gimmicks and bull crap with them.

This service department is run by unprofessional and uneducated individuals. First off, I brought my brand new 3 month old RAV4 in due to a large amount of dirt intrusion into the interior - all over seats, dash, around all mechanical buttons in the center console, and on the interior facing panels of the rear hatch. The first staff member was Kevin Perryman who stated “I have never seen this even once before,” which made me feel validated and hopeful that they’d investigate this thoroughly. 3 hours later, the service team evaluated the vehicle and said everything looked “normal.” I returned to pick up my vehicle and asked to speak to a manager as this was certainly not normal for a new car. Kevin then changed his statement and said “yes this is common” which is directly contradictory to his first statement. Brian Surrett, the service director, then entered the picture. He walked out to the car with my husband and me, and repeatedly said “I don’t know why you have dirt in your interior but it’s normal.” We shared that we have two other vehicles, one of which is a Toyota, and neither have had this issue with dirt in the interior. He cut us off and said “I don’t care about those vehicles, they are different.” Brian was extremely disrespectful. My husband asked if they checked tightness of doors, and quality of the weather seals of the vehicle. Brian said “how would you like me to check that?” We stated we were not service members and do not know, but we read on Reddit and other forums where people were able to resolve these issues by correcting those measures. Brian said “I would trust what the dealer says not the forums, and your car is normal.” He then told us we could “take it up with Toyota.” We asked for the number to corporate and he rattled it off rapidly as if we were going to memorize the series of numbers. My husband asked him to write it down for us instead and he said “no I’m not going to do that.” Brian then stormed off. This individual should absolutely never work in customer service, and should definitely not be in a managerial position within any service department. Corporate has been made aware of this interaction. In doing more research on the forums (which Brian claimed are less informative than the dealership), we found out that there are 4 hole plugs which are required to be installed beneath the vehicle in order to prevent dust, water, and debris from entering the interior of the vehicle. Turns out my car was missing two of those plugs. This means the “multipoint inspection” didn’t include checking for this very basic item which is REQUIRED per Toyota’s website. This line comes directly from Toyota’s parts website: “The Hole Plug (#90950-01A12), a critical Body part in the Rear Floor Panel & Rear Floor Member system, works by sealing off access points or unused openings in the vehicle body. These plugs keep out water, dust, and other unwanted elements from entering the interior of the vehicle.” I have plugged these holes myself now, with no help from this service center. Already seeing improvement in the dirt intrusion issue. Fred Anderson Toyota service department is filled with uneducated, disrespectful, dishonest, and unprofessional staff members. I will never bring my vehicle there again. It was useless and I did more problem solving than they did. Their “multipoint inspection” clearly is not thorough nor should it even qualify as a basic inspection. In addition to reeducating their service members on what basic items are required on every vehicle, their manager needs training on how to treat customers with respect and take their concerns seriously. If nothing else, I hope to spare future customers from this dealership service center.

Money hungry and difficult to deal with. charged almost $1000 for a 90,000 mile tune up and oil change, and missed major issues (which we later sorted out for additional money and several days long headaches). I was willing to let this go and assume it was a fluke in bad, overpriced service. Everyone has bad days and eventually we did come to an agreement. Unfortunately, they proved my initial adverse reaction to be correct- Recently, I called for a key replacement quote and they came back with $600. for a 2013 vehicle! Insane. Predatory prices that people probably fall prey to because they don't know any better. So disappointing, Toyota. By far the most irritating and ill behaved toyota dealership I've ever been to.

I waited for sometime to give this review to make sure my car is still running after a year. I was on the "family plan" - brought vehicle with them and took in every time my light went on for maintenance at whatever miles they set it at. A month after a visit - I noticed a noise and took it in ... one guy came out and told me it was due to NO OIL. I asked how in the world can I have NO OIL when I come here all the time and I was just here?? . The sales service guy......who takes in appt and tells you what's wrong - told me that it is burning oil "A Toyota HIghlander that has been maintenance by only this place, is all of a sudden burning oil - at the time, it was 7 years old. He told me to start carrying around a oil! When I didn't except that answer, I called a couple days later and I told this service mgr what I was told...and said this all sounds like someone forgot to put oil back in after changing it, he said it could be that or it could be a problem. I said why wouldn't the other guy just tell me that .......he said "we protect our home". ..after several months and car still having trouble .......many discussions back and forth .....they finally replaced the pistons and car is running good.
