Diehl Collision of Hermitage Customer Reviews

I had taken my car in November of 2023 to have a claim started for paint that was peeling on the roof on my Toyota RAV4. There was a recall for paint peeling on the white & pearl Toyota vehicles. Pictures were taken & the claim was submitted to repaint the roof. Finally, in May of 2024 I was called to bring the car in to have the roof painted. My car ended up being there almost 3 months. Thankfully, I had a dealership car. All communication was initiated by me having to call in for updates. I was expecting it to take a week. Eventually, they claimed they had found more peeling & more areas of the car needed painted. When I picked my car up I had to have one of the employees come out to look at the molding that was coming off the door panels. They said they would have to order a new piece for the one side & they were able to clip the other side that was not attached properly. They also had to fix a piece of molding lifting from around the windshield. Once I got home & had my car in the sun it was very noticeable that the colors do not match. My bumper & hatch were the only things not painted. The color of the car is pearl but looks to have been painted white. Also, discovered my interior lights were burned out. Took my car up to show them & they guy said he could tell as soon as he started walking towards it that it didn’t match. I was told by management that they needed to contact Toyota to see what can be done. I contacted Toyota & was told it is on the dealership. I have contacted the collision center & of course have not received a call back. Unbelievable, that this is how a reputable business is run. I would not recommend using them.

Estimated three day job took two weeks. Difficulty reaching by phone or having messages returned for updates. Told would be done following day & then was another three days with no explanation. Car returned unwashed & as if sitting outside under a tree for days. Dirty hand marks throughout the inside. This was all after being asked to pay upfront. Don't do it! Adding to your response. Got my number if so concerned & could reach out. No one answers the phone half the time anyway.

UPDATE 4/26: 23 weeks and 3 days ALMOST 6 MONTHS and still no truck. Only receiving generic "still waiting on one part" emails. I have talked to now three different collision shops locally and they are appalled the 2023 Tundra is not done. UPDATE 3/7: We are sitting at 16 weeks with our truck in the shop. Now receiving generic emails, not phone calls to let us know they don't have parts still. Will continue to update. Diehl Collision in Hermitage, Pa has had my truck for now over 9 weeks. Dropped off Truck November 14th by tow. Went in that same week to sign paperwork for collision damage. Called a few days later to ask roughly how long this would take and we were told 3 weeks unless something more came up but then no later than Christmas. I was fine with that and it gave them over 5 weeks to get everything done. We called on 12/5 to ask how the process was going and was told it was getting dismantled this week by Adrianne. We were then called by Samantha on 12/19 to ask if they could move our Tundra to the Massillon to get it done faster. I asked how long it would take if transferred and she said she would call me back. She called back and stated 2-3 weeks. At this point our truck has already been in there for 6 weeks. I asked if it was taken apart already and she said no. So, in an additional 2 weeks there was absolutely no dismantling of the truck, NOTHING. In 6 weeks, it was in the exact same location! We knew nothing had happened to it as well because we drive by once a week and take a photo of it sitting in the exact same spot. Samantha then got on the line with Adrianne and she stated they would just keep it in Hermitage because it would take the same amount of time (2-3 weeks to finish) as it would the Massillon shop. 1/18 we have called today 5 times and not one single answer from the shop. My wife finally called the main dealership and someone answered and called the autobody and got through within one call. So basically, they are screening calls. Today is another 3 weeks and 2 days since they told us it would be done. GUESS WHAT?! Still not done at all! No calls in over 9 weeks from this business to let us know anything about the process of the truck. If we would have been kept in the loop at all we probably would not be so furious with this ill run Collison shop. The non-communication from this place is the WORST EVER. Who knows at this point when this truck will even be done.

The body shop knows they deserve this one star review. Had me drop off my car on AGREED DATE (in writing) before they even had approval to work on it or ordered the part despite telling me they would (also in writing)! The best part is they let me drop it off knowing this information!!! So in summary they just sat on my car two full business days until I ended up contacting the correct people for approval who work in the same building! Next they'll just have me come do the body work too... Weeks later they eventually got the part in but I was so upset I ended up just paying another body shop to do it.

The staff of the collision center are excellent. They are kind, considerate and excellent at their jobs. I want to give a special thank you to Adrian M, and to Kim A . Both provided timely updates on my vehicles progress. They were very responsive to my concerns and questions, and always had welcoming smiles and attitude. As a retired business owner I know great people when I meet them. You should be proud of them
