I had the unfortunate event of having my car stuck on a gravel road in Spruce Pine. I called my insurance for roadside assistance and was directed to Decolas. They responded in a timely manner. The gentleman assessed the stuck car and immediately implemented a solution. He pulled my car out within minutes and no damages were made to my car considering it being one my biggest worries. I was back on the road and learned my lesson. Couldn't thank Decolas enough and would deeply recommend their services.

I want to send out kudos to J.P. from Decolas Towing for all of his help on New Years Day when I had an incapacited vehicle in Marshall. Was kind enough to come out there on a holiday morning and got both me and the car back to South Carolina in a timely fashion. Very good service and a nice guy to chat with. Best wishes to you all and I will recommend you whenever I can.

JP towed my little Kona from Erwin back to Spruce Pine. He also allowed me to have my dog in the truck. Very friendly guys. Decola was quick to respond and very reasonable on the price. I would def call them again.

The mishandling of personal property belonging to an out-of-state disaster response team—alongside restricted access to this property—is deeply concerning. This team is actively contributing to the rebuilding efforts in the community, yet this towing service appears to be prioritizing profit over supporting those offering relief. Not only does this approach reflect poorly on the business’s ethics, but it also seems to violate North Carolina statutes 20.219.2 and 20.219.20 regarding access to personal property from towed vehicles. As a third-party industry professional, I stand with Mr. Lara and Lara Services Group in objecting to this unjust treatment, which falls well below industry standards. This conduct may be grounds for legal action to be pursued within the North Carolina judicial system. While towing itself may be warranted in some cases, preventing access to personal property is an entirely separate and troubling issue that requires immediate address. Let me know if any specific details or additional references would help clarify this further.
