AS BAD AS IT GETS. PLEASE READ MY REVIEW BEFORE YOU GIVE THE LEDFORD'S YOUR MONEY. *YES I HAVE A REASON TO POST THE BEWARE RATING. MY 1ST COUSIN IS THE MINOR/UNDERAGE KID IS THE ONE THAT HAS HAD HER LIFE BECOME A MESS AND IS FOREVER ALTERED DUE TO THIS PREDATOR. IE: HIS HAND WITH A PHONE IN IT UNDER A DRESSING ROOM STALL WITH THIS PREDATOR FILMING WHILE SHE CHANGED CLOTHES. JIM, HIS FRIENDS, HIS FAMILY, HIS FEMALE STAYED WITH HIM AND HAD A BABY GIRL, ETC ALL ENABLE HIM AND BLAME MY COUSIN AND HER PARENTS FOR LEAVING HER UNATTENDED IN A DRESSING ROOM. YEP, YOU READ THAT RIGHT. NOT ONLY DO THEY ENABLE ROBBY, BUT THEY ALSO VICTIM BLAME MY COUSIN FOR CHANGING IN A DRESSING ROOM WHILE HER PARENTS SHOPPED RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR. People should be aware who they are dealing with when giving your business to LEDFORD'S auto repair, LEDFORD'S auto sales, LEDFORD'S trading post with the illegal slot machines in the back for gambling. Jim may say that Robby doesn't work there and that is only half true. He does work there from time to time. Actually a bit more than they claim. Also as stated on Rob's FB page as the owner This rating is not based on there work which is ok if you are ok with using the cheapest parts available but at a premium price. Ironically I've gotten work done a few times before this incident and it's always been ok and my vehicles were fine after they left. They do like to quote you a price to get you in the door and then "fix" a whole bunch of stuff that didn't need to be or ask to get permission before replacing. I was in shock one time when picking up my car. I refused to pay and they ended up letting me have my car when I threatened to get the state involved in there business. Ie: small illegal backroom gambling operation

We take all our family cars to these gentlemen and have received nothing but great care and fast repairs. I have never had an issue with any re-work! I could not recommend more highly!

Had a lower ball joint go out on my car and did not have the time to repair it myself. I had bought the part and brought the vehicle in together. I got no run around for being a women and was treated with respect. My car was fixed in less than 24 hours. Can not tell you how happy I am with their professionalism and swift work.

Incredible value. Extremely high quality work and affordable. I was worried about all the work my 2010 Subaru Forester needed, and I couldn't manage the costs that the dealership charges. But Ledfords makes life simple and manageable. They are flexible and honest, and I highly recommend them.

This company took advantage of my young adult son who is away from home to attend the university there in Mars Hill. When my son took his vehicle to this shop, he explained the shaking he was experiencing. He was quoted $270 to get it fixed. At pickup, he was charged $400. He did not call my son to get approval for the additional costs before moving forward. Shady business. Obviously not happy about the increase, but my son paid anyway and left. What other option did he have? Immediately after leaving, the violent shaking was still there. My son called 4 different times throughout the day but, ironically, no one answered the business phone.... on a normal business day.... during normal business hours. After the 4th try he immediately called again from a friend's number and his call was answered on the first ring. Of course, for more money, they suggested to bring it back in. No thank you! You already charged an unemployed struggling college student $400 and did not fix it!!! Any respected mechanic shop would have called their customer to explain additional charges before doing work, and would have also done their due diligence by test driving the vehicle before returning to the customer. Do not use this company. It's sad we even have to warn our children about businses who prey on naive young adults.
