Metco Tire & Auto Service

My family has lived in this area for 40 years and we always took our family cars to “Red’s,” a local, small auto repair shop down the street. Red always provided honest, no nonsense, quality service and repair for our cars and we were loyal to his business for decades! Since his shop closed several years ago, I’ve been searching for a place that does business the same way that Red did. I FINALLY found that in Metco! This family owned business is owned and run by people who care, who are honest and fair and provide a service that is always top-notch. I’ve been taking my vehicles here for almost a year. Our last visit sealed the deal that this is the only place I’ll ever go for auto repair and maintenance. Our truck stopped working and no one could figure out what was wrong. After multiple visits and lots of money spent at Ford putting in new parts I may or may not have needed, we still had a truck that didn’t run. I towed the truck to Metco and although identifying the issue was tough, Kenny stuck with it and figured it out, did the repair and a truck that had stopped running during Helene, started right up again! I’m so grateful to have found a local place, with good people, that are fair and honest and affordable. As a woman who doesn’t have a lot of car sense, they are always willing to explain things clearly and I never feel like I’m being taken advantage of because of my limited knowledge. THANK YOU METCO! My first time with Metco was today for a front-end alignment and some other vibration issues. My usual mechanic doesn't do alignments, so I had to trust someone else. I'm so glad I did! I was absolutely blown away by the kind and amazing service I received today! The compassionate staff notified us of each and every issue regarding my vehicle BEFORE correcting it. They checked in multiple times during the servicing to keep me updated, and even notified me that I'll need some other work soon. Other mechanics I've been to prior would have done the job without asking, then saddle me with an outrageous bill. Not Metco! Reasonably priced, expert service, and will treat you like family. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

they are the sweetest, most helpful people! i’ve had to bring my old 2008 honda in there a handful of times, and every time they have fixed my car with a smile, and quickly! i know i can count on them anytime i have issues with my car.

I have lived in Madison county about two years now. Haven't needed any car repairs within those two years. Whenever I do I will certainly be searching for a reliable local mechanic. This place however... Apparently doesn't want new customers LOL. 🤷

My car died on I-26 near Mars Hill, NC last Saturday. I had my two dogs in the car, two bikes on the back and a Rooftop carrier with all my stuff. Needless to say I was kinda panicked! I had it towed to Metco and I’m so glad I did. When they opened on Monday they called to get my account of what happened. They called me about an hour later as my friend and I were on our way to get my stuff (dogs were picked up with me by a friend Saturday night 🤩) and said my car was ready to go! They had diagnosed it and fixed it and I was so thankful! It was a burned up ignition coil on one of the plugs. They were so professional and had me back on the road Monday morning. I wanted to recommend them because they treated me so well — couldn’t have picked a better place to have my car securely stored over a weekend and fixed so promptly. Nice folks too. Highly recommend.
