The core of Consumer Tire's services and goods for sale lies predominantly in its expertise in **tires**. This includes the sale of a vast array of new tires from reputable brands, catering to passenger cars, light trucks, SUVs, and even some commercial applications. They stock a wide range of tire types, including all-season, touring, performance, winter, and off-road tires, ensuring they can meet diverse driving needs and preferences. Beyond sales, their comprehensive tire services include:

  • **Tire Installation:** Professional mounting and balancing of new tires to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Many Consumer Tire locations prioritize a **friendly and community-oriented approach**, aiming to build long-term relationships rather than just focusing on single transactions. Their commitment to offering **leading tire brands** ensures that customers have access to high-quality products. The convenience of a **one-stop shop** for both tire needs and general automotive maintenance simplifies vehicle care for busy individuals. Furthermore, a focus on **certified technicians** and adherence to industry best practices is often a hallmark of such establishments, ensuring reliable and safe service.

Consumer Tire regularly engages in various **promotional activities and offers** to provide value to its customers and attract new business. While specific promotions can vary by location and time, common examples include:

  • **Rebates on Tire Purchases:** This is a very frequent promotion, often offered in conjunction with major tire manufacturers (e.g., Michelin, Goodyear, Bridgestone, Continental). These can be instant rebates at the time of purchase or mail-in rebates, offering significant savings on a set of new tires.
  • **Discounts on Services:** Look for coupons or specials on specific services like oil changes, wheel alignments, or brake services. These might be a set dollar amount off or a percentage discount.
  • **Package Deals:** Promotions that bundle related services, such as a tire purchase that includes free rotations and balancing for the life of the tires, or a discounted alignment with a new tire purchase.
  • **Seasonal Promotions:** Offers tailored to specific times of the year, such as deals on winter tires before cold weather or discounted A/C checks in the spring.
  • **Free Inspections:** Many locations offer free tire inspections, brake checks, or general vehicle inspections to help customers identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • **Online Specials:** Exclusive discounts or coupons available only through their website or email newsletters, encouraging customers to check their digital platforms regularly.
  • **Financing Options:** Some locations may offer special financing plans for larger purchases, such as a full set of tires or significant repairs, making it easier for customers to manage expenses.
These promotional efforts are designed to make high-quality tire and automotive services more accessible and affordable for local users. Customers are encouraged to visit the Consumer Tire website or contact their nearest location directly to inquire about current specific offers and how to take advantage of them.

In conclusion, Consumer Tire effectively operates as a vital component of the "Auto Repair Stations" network, distinguishing itself with specialized tire expertise alongside a comprehensive range of general automotive maintenance and repair services. Its customer-focused environment, dedication to quality products and workmanship, and consistent offering of value-driven promotions make it a trusted and convenient choice for local users seeking reliable and expert care for their vehicles' most critical systems.

Consumer Tire Customer Reviews

I was informed by the employees during my appointment today that Consumer Tire is under new ownership as of the last few months. It’s very obvious to say the least. I’ve been coming to Consumer Tire for years but I may be rethinking that moving forward after today. It’s certainly not the same experience that I’m accustomed to. If the owners continue down this path, they’re going to lose a large part of the customer base the prior owners established. Let’s keep our fingers crossed the owners don’t make the mistake a lot of business owners do and not listen to their employees.

I had a problem with the radio in my Dodge Ram that Chris helped me fix over the phone. The dealership wanted to charge me $200 just to hook it up to the diagnostic machine and then possibly replace the whole thing, costing about $1000 in parts and labor. Chris took the time to look up the specific problem and called me back the same day with a solution and it worked perfectly. Not only did he save me a ton of money and time at the dealership, but he took his own time to figure out a solution. I’ve been taking my vehicles to Consumer for 25 years and will gladly keep going there for repairs and maintenance!

Spent $2500 replacing my brakes and everything associated with them only to have my brakes make a horrendous squealing noise when applied. I took the car back three separate times and even took a video of the squeaking and every time they told me they didn't hear it even though there was a video and it never got fixed and they told me there was nothing they could do. A year later and my break still squeak and the dealership I took the car to told me they used cheap brake pads and they would need to replace them in order to stop the squeaking. I now hate driving a car I once loved.

My son needed new tires during his winter break from college. With my busy work schedule and his we had only one day to try to get his car in for this service somewhere local to us. I called many other places and they were booked up into the next week. At a friend's recommendation I called Consumer Tire in Mentor and talked to Chris. He was very helpful and kind and we discussed several different tire options that were economical to us. He verified the tires were in stock and told us to come in for service an hour from our phone discussion. Everything went smoothly and we really appreciated Chris's customer service to us!
