Caliber Collision Customer Reviews

Extremely frustrated with the quality of the repair and my experience with the shop. My original estimated completion date was November 8, 4 weeks after dropping the car off. I was finally able to pick up the vehicle on November 25, just short of a three week delay. My insurance only covered a rental car for 1 month. I let Caliber know that I was now being forced to pay out of pocket for my rental car. They told me they would call Allstate for me and request an extension of coverage. A week goes by and I ask if they ever heard back, but they had no idea what I was talking about. No one ever called. Never once did they apologize for the extreme inconvenience it caused being forced to pay out of pocket for a rental car for 3 weeks thanks to their inability to complete the repair on time. When I finally got the car, there were several scratches on the hatch door and spoiler they just installed. I noticed immediately but was so frustrated by that time I was just happy to have the car back. The first time I went to open the hatch the entire back panel comes up when I pull the handle. I look on the inside of the door and the plastic covering is completely unseated. Just unacceptable. They should be ashamed of the quality of work performed. I have no idea how the job took almost twice the time they estimated but was still so obviously rushed. I thought of bringing the car back to them but if this is their standard of repair, I'd rather take it elsewhere.

Rating with 1 star because it is required in order to write a review. I took my 2023 mustang to caliber for damage to the front bumper & hood due to a great dane puppy chewing on it. Caliber called us about a week after drop off and let us know the car was ready for pick up. When we got there the bumper was the most drastic orange peel texture we have ever seen on paint, the hood was dull, it looked like a piece of paper rather than a shiny new car. Collin our service rep said everything would be buffed out and he would call us the next day with an update. After numerous attemps to contact Collin we were informed that they needed to order a new bumper to re paint and needed to sand and re clear coat the hood to correct everything. Not a problem with us, this is not a daily driver so we were in no rush and that was made clear. Two weeks go by and no one will return our calls so I stop by Caliber to check on the car, I was given the run around and basically told no one could give me any information. After almost 30min I am taken to the back lot to see the car and I am in shock! In the attached photo is yellow pieces of masking tape for every spot in the paint that either had debris (dirt, sanding remains & even a bug) or a divet in the paint caused by a bubble in the clear coat that popped as it dried and left a void. There is also a large run in the pain on the bumper, 2 large areas where you can still see the grey primer and the entire bumper has so many layers of paint it is gummy and thick and has peeled off. The GM David informed us that they CAN remove debris from the paint, but the insurance does not pay them to do that. He also stated they do not paint in a sealed paint booth. He told us our standards and expectations were higher than the shops standards and that if we wanted work that good we needed to take the car to Loids. My husband and I were BLOWN away by this. The hood looked like a golf ball from the amount of divets in the clear coat so to say we have too high of standards is absurd. We were lied to several times, given excuse after excuse and told that their quantity of cars over quality is their priority along with their profitability instead of customer service. We were also told that over spray on the windshield, headlight and lower valance was rubbing compound. We were also told that we could listen and accept what David the GM was telling us or we could be escorted out so after feeling threatened we contact our insurance agent and asked if we were allowed to take the car, we did not feel comfortable leaving it with Caliber or their GM David after everything that occurred. We were advised to mark every imperfection before leaving and that is what we did with the yellow tape. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO CALIBER!

Ayssis and David at Caliber Collision auto repair were very polite, professional and detailed during the whole process of the repair of my vehicle. They did a great job, and went above and beyond on my repair of my Ford Expedition. I highly recommend them for your vehicle collision repairs.

The staff is very helpful and willing to do the right thing. Caliber was very transparent and keeps communication when it comes to repairs. I will recommend them after my wife's car got repaired at Caliber in a good timely manner.

Calibers was beyond amazing in helping with the process of fixing my car after experiencing a hit and run with my Challenger. They were fast, professional, friendly, communication was great, and my car was finished exactly in the promised timing. My car came out beautiful, you can’t even tell it was hit by another car. The paint is perfect. The body work is perfect. This is an amazing team and need to be recognized for all of their hard work.

I am extremely happy with my experience with Caliber Collision. The finished job is beautiful. They kept me updated during the repair and it was completed in half of estimated time. Very pleasant to deal with.

Excellent dent and paint repairs. One would never know there had been any cosmetic damage. Also great communication all along the way. Highly recommend!

If I could put zero stars I would. They had my truck since November 1, 2024. It is now April 7, 2025. They said that the expected completion date was December 5, 2024, 6 months later and I finally got my truck back. I spoke with Colin, but after several times I’d attempted to communicate with him, he stopped responding completely. I then was doing business with David. David was a good guy always trying to make things better, but his team is just downright awful. One thing was always missing, broken, or completely ignored. I honestly recommend go elsewhere to get your repairs taken care of. Caliber Collision on Dorado is completely crap.
