Aaron was awesome and very communicative. I only scheduled an oil change, but the day before drop, my check engine light came on. I sprung this on them at drop and it was an issues that was known for which Subaru extended the warranty, so the repair was free of charge. I appreciated all of the videos the technicians sent me so I could see what was going on, and my car is driving nicely with no issues. I never used to trust dealerships, but I’ve only ever gotten my oil changed here and have never had any other problems pop up. I feel they are trustworthy and do some nice work. Plus, they gave my dog some treaties and let him drive in my rental. Can’t be mad about that!

This was my second time bringing my car to this shop for service, and I am extremely disappointed with the results. After the maintenance, the check engine light came on, and they told me it was likely due to a dirty engine. However, not only did the check engine light remain on, but the Hill Assist and Traction Control lights also illuminated. Even more concerning, the car switched to sport mode and couldn’t return to normal mode. Things took a worse turn the next day when the left front wheel actually fell off while I was driving! I had to get the car towed back for repairs. Once the wheel was reattached, they claimed that there were no warning lights when the car was brought in. While it's true that the lights were not on when I picked up the car, when I went to another repair shop for a check-up, they found fault codes in the system. After clearing the codes, the warning lights came back on. I am very dissatisfied with the lack of proper diagnostics and communication. If these issues had been properly addressed during the maintenance, I wouldn't be dealing with them now. This experience has been frustrating and concerning, and I would not recommend this shop to anyone based on my experience. For people who see the response from the owner: the number is fake, they are not even trying to resolve the issue.

Aaron Serrano has been my first experience at AutoNation Subaru Carlsbad, which was been at top-notched and exceptional service. He is always thorough and keeps me updated on the status of my vehicle. He is a major asset to the Subaru’ He should be the manager for this department due to his knowledge and experience he has brought to your team. I will only go to Aaron for all my service needs overall. He is an example of what all Service Manager should be and should be training others too. I have had excellent service since I bought my first Subaru. Thank you so much Aaron!

Alexis was my service representative and I couldn’t ask for a better person to be the face of your dealership. He was considerate, a good listener, knew what I was talking about and told me what they would do. He provided a loaner car in a timely manner and communicated several times while they had my car overnight. This young man did a phenomenal job and I’d highly recommend him to anyone - he needs a promotion!!! :)

My salesman George was great. He made the whole process professional and painless. However, after taking my 2022 Forester home, I noticed they hadn't changed the engine oil (it was brownish) and it was over filled by a quart... which might of hurt or damaged the engine! Maybe that's why it's getting 19 MPG in the city as we speak instead of 26 MPG city as advertised. Very concerning. Norma in Service was awesome enough to give me a free oil change and check other points in case they missed those as well upon delivery. Also the spare key was missing which George promptly provided. Engine compartment was also dirty (still is) and filled with debris everywhere. Norma helped clean some but not all. My battery was draining since they forgot to unhook the alarm system that was installed during new car shipment in 2022 (or something along those lines). Norma took care of that as well. Hopefully my alternator / battery / charging system didn't get affected and these two years the battery was draining!

I've always received good service here. They share videos taken by their mechanics to show you what they find in your car - if they've found any issues. They still send a quick video of just everything looking good if no issues were fine and they just completed the routine services. This is always appreciated so I know better what is going on. The webpage for your current service is updated very quickly with any recommended changes from the mechanics alongside the quoted price for it. You can either approve through the page or call your associate to discuss anything further. The whole process is transparent and helpful. Overall solid service and would recommend.

Alex Sanchez provided great service. I really liked his positive attitude and friendly demeanor. I had the CVT service done and it was fine. Used a coupon for a great price. However, the tech recommended over $7,000 in repairs and maintenance for my higher mileage older Forester. While most of it I was already aware of and plan to get done, others were already done recently or not needed in my opinion. Since I do most of my repairs myself, the $7,000 estimate was not shocking to me but I could see the average person getting very upset by this. Maybe just recommend what is really needed at that time or keep it under a certain dollar amount to avoid sticker shock, especially on older high mileage vehicles that have a low Blue Book value, like mine.

My Subaru Outback service at Carlsbad! Got there on time and was serviced by Connor. He delivered my car as promised and provided a review of future maintenance items. I only wish I could have been provided a link for video tour while performing the check up list. I have taken my Subaru to other dealers and they sent always a link with a view of the inspection. Other than that I was very happy the way Subaru Carlsbad serviced my car.

My Service Advisor, Filip, listened to my issue and provided me with an estimated time for completion and he was spot on! They identified 2 minor issues and took care of them which was fantastic as I don't have to return for another service appointment. Their lounge is comfortable with coffee station and water and pups are allowed!
