Absher Automotive Introduce

For residents of Riverside, Ohio, and the surrounding Dayton area, Absher Automotive, located at 4814 Airway Rd, Riverside, OH 45431, USA, positions itself as an "Auto Repair Station" offering a range of services for vehicle maintenance and repair. As a local, family-owned business, it has been serving the community from this location since November 2010. While the aim of any automotive repair shop is to provide reliable solutions, potential customers considering Absher Automotive may find a varied landscape of experiences, as reflected in online feedback.

The **environment** at Absher Automotive, typical of a well-established auto repair shop, would feature a functional and practical layout. Their website indicates they boast 10 full bays, suggesting a substantial capacity to handle multiple vehicles simultaneously. This setup is conducive to efficient workflow, aiming to get vehicles serviced and back on the road in a timely manner. The repair bays would be equipped with essential tools and diagnostic equipment for a variety of automotive issues. A reception area would be present for customer interactions, scheduling, and payment processing. The overall atmosphere would likely be business-oriented, focusing on the technical aspects of vehicle repair. The location on Airway Road provides accessibility for local residents. For direct communication, customers can reach Absher Automotive via phone at (937) 254-8589 or mobile at +1 937-254-8589. Their operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with Saturday appointments only, and closed on Sundays, offering standard weekday service.

Absher Automotive offers a comprehensive range of **services** covering various aspects of car repair and maintenance, positioning itself as a full-service facility for both foreign and domestic vehicles. These services, as listed on their website, include: AUTO REPAIR, BRAKE SERVICE, ENGINE SERVICES, TRANSMISSION SERVICES, DIAGNOSTICS, HEATING & AC, MUFFLERS & EXHAUST, and TIRES. This wide array of offerings suggests they can address most common vehicle problems, from routine maintenance to more complex mechanical issues. Their website emphasizes their use of the latest diagnostic equipment and computerized repair manuals to ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired to factory specifications. They also highlight their ASE-certified technicians who are trained to get customers back on the road quickly. While their range of services is broad, the specific details of a customer's experience, as evidenced by the provided reviews, can vary significantly from the advertised ideal. For instance, the detailed negative review describes an overheating issue that reportedly was not fully resolved after significant investment, leading to further problems and costs for the customer. This highlights the importance of thorough diagnostics and effective repair implementation, particularly when multiple issues might be contributing to a single symptom.

The **features** of Absher Automotive, ideally, would revolve around their stated commitments: a local, family-owned business serving the community since 2010, and a team of ASE-certified technicians. Their website also states, "We service roughly 3,000 customers a year, so you know you can rely on us for quality. We taking pride in delivering personal customer service. As we like to say, 'we work on cars, but we serve people.'" They also claim to be "very competitively priced" and aim to get customers "back on the road as affordably, safely, and quickly as possible," with most service and repairs done on the same day. However, the provided customer reviews present a contrasting view of some of these features. One review suggests issues with problem diagnosis, refusal to consider customer-provided evidence (like videos of noises), and charging for unresolved or misdiagnosed problems. The second, extensively detailed review, paints a picture of a major vehicle overheating issue that, despite a significant initial repair cost ($1,700+), recurred almost immediately, leading to further financial strain ($600 tow, nearly $4,000 quoted for a previously unmentioned water pump) and a dangerous roadside situation. This review specifically criticizes the communication ("never mentioned that the first time"), the perceived overcharging for an unresolved problem, and a broken promise of the car being "in great shape" and safe for a long trip. While the existence of 10 bays implies efficiency, the "very slow" feedback from another review, despite not being directly connected to the provided negative reviews, further indicates that perceived efficiency might not always align with customer experience. The critical feedback raises concerns about diagnostic accuracy, the integrity of repair promises, and the overall customer experience when issues persist after service.

From a **promotional** standpoint, Absher Automotive's official presence would likely highlight their local roots, family-owned status, and long-standing service to the community since 2010. They would promote their comprehensive list of services, emphasizing their capacity to handle a wide range of foreign and domestic vehicle repairs. Their competitive pricing claims and aim for quick service and same-day repairs would be key selling points. They might also emphasize their team of ASE-certified technicians to convey expertise and reliability. However, given the nature of the provided customer reviews, any promotional efforts would need to carefully consider and potentially address the significant negative feedback. For instance, while they aim to promote "personal customer service," the detailed negative review suggests a breakdown in trust and communication, particularly when problems persist. To build confidence, they might need to implement strategies for improved post-repair follow-up, clearer communication about potential additional issues and costs, and a more robust process for addressing unresolved problems. Actively seeking and responding to all customer feedback, both positive and negative, on platforms like BBB (where an affiliated business was "Not Rated" for sufficient information to issue a rating, though it's important to clarify if this applies to the specific Dayton location, and the general BBB profiles are not directly linked to positive or negative experiences for this specific entity), could be crucial. Emphasizing a guarantee on their work, if offered, could also be a promotional tool to alleviate customer concerns about recurring issues. Their current promotional efforts, based on their self-description, focus on reliability, competitive pricing, and speed, but the customer experiences indicate that consistently delivering on these promises remains a critical area for their reputation.

Absher Automotive Customer Reviews

If this weren't for the review alone, I wouldn't even give it a one star. JUST DO NOT COME HERE. It is the worst location to take your automobile in for repairs. The fact that there are more positive reviews does not imply that the auto repair is of sufficient quality for the other customers who read the evaluations and attempt to seek assistance for their vehicles. When your car still has problems, they will want to send someone to check it out or feel it when the car is truly producing noise. They will charge you for the problem while guaranteeing that it is the only item that has to be fixed. What happens if your car starts to make noise the moment you drive up to their location, after they've closed, on the weekend, or even before? Is there a way to have the individual sit in your car and listen to the noise? What happens if the noise stops at the same moment? (And in the end, they refuse to watch videos, listen to the audio in the video, or even just glance at it) Despite all of this, they still charged you the first time, ensuring that the issue was resolved. And even if you were fortunate enough to demonstrate to the mechanic what the issue was, where the noise was coming from, or what the problem was, they will still demand payment for some imaginary other problem. How is that any different from the identical problem that arose when you first came in for assistance?

I have a review of Absher Automotive that is quite negative. My mother and I share a vehicle, we are both older and disabled. We don't have a lot of money between us, and we was trusting that they were not going to cheat us. Our car was overheating with every drive. We couldn't get to doctor appointments, stores, or anywhere. We took our vehicle to Absher in mid July. They looked it over in a day, called me and said they had a list of all the problems that would fix the overheating and keep it up to date. The total was a bit over 1,700. My mother and I split the cost, and told them to repair it. They had it completed in about two days, and we were very hopeful and excited to have our car back. My mom and son went to the shop to pick it up. The man working, I believe it was Tim, told my mother that this car was now in great shape and we wouldn't have any problems with it, that it had a lot of years left. She asked about the radiator and he said there would be no more problems with overheating. The car came home. I called Tim and asked again about the overheating and safety of the car, as I am 43 with severe arthritis and I had to drive a 2 hour trip to Mansfield Ohio the weekend after it was 'repaired'. He said I would be safe, and would have no problems. I was alone, and I drove to Mansfield. It did good for most of the trip, but when I stopped at my motel in Mansfield to check in, then left to do my business, it began to overheat. I had the absolute worst time trying to get back and forth as I needed too. It wouldn't hold water or antifreeze for enough time for me to do anything. I had to get this broken car home, I didn't know what to do. I live in Dayton, this is a 2 hour drive. So I tried to drive down the highway a bit, add more water and go a bit farther. It was horrible, I was pulling to the side of the highway alone, scared, and unsure. I finally had to flag down a policeman that was driving on the highway and he helped me leave the car on the road, and took me to a close gas station. I called my mom, and we called Allstate, our insurance, we were given a referral for a tow truck. The tow truck came around 2 hours later, took me and the car back to Dayton, and it costs us $600 out of pocket. I took the car back to Absher the next day, they looked at it, and told us it needed a water pump. They never mentioned that the first time. it was looked at. They quoted me nearly another 4,000. We have had to give up on our vehicle. We maxed our credit cards to fix this situation, we still owe $3000 on our car. So we have nothing now. I wish I had never, ever trusted Abshers with my car. I feel like I just handed them almost 2000 for absolutely nothing. It put us in a huge hole that we can't get out of. I feel like they charged us for basic maintenance without fixing the concern. I am just beyond frustrated to be in this situation. I highly doubt they would have let their wives drive alone 2 hours away in a car that wasn't safe. I am mostly mad because they pretty much promised that it was good to go. Just be careful. I had to say something publicly, I'm just so upset. I can't set up doctor appointments or anything at this point. I am sure I am just wasting my time, but I can't let this go. I will be writing the BBB next.

I had a great experience here with my rear windshield replacement and repair of the glass hatch release button that was not working. I ended up saving money for both jobs and they explained things well.

I had to bring my car in, due to it not running properly and in limp mode. I dropped it off around 10am, not expecting it to be done same day, 5p comes & they call saying its ready to go. Super Quick, Great pricing too. Will definitely be taking my car there for all future needs.
