Zolman's Best One Tire & Auto Care

Staff was very kind and worked me in for a quick tire repair even though they had a full waiting room! They even allowed my Great Dane to sit inside and wait till our car was finished!

I went in to have my front wheels balanced. They assigned the job to a younger technician that was unable to operate a car with a manual transmission (which my car has. ) He stalled it a couple of times before I ended up pulling it into the service bay. The lift that they put it on may not have been the correct type to use with a car with low ground clearance as there was damage to the splash shield under the belly pan and to the rocker panel cover. (I had not noticed that or the damage to the center cap on the left front wheel initially.) When I left the shop I got the car up to the speed that the vibration had been appearing,( the reason I took it in for wheel balancing,) and the vibration was worse. I returned and explained it to the service advisor. I was told that it would require having to make an appointment to have a mechanic look into it further. As I had another commitment a short time from the I left without making an appointment. When I got home I noticed the center cap damage and the damage under the car. I emailed the shop and now, two days later I have gotten no reply. I have used tho shop for years for tire balancing rotation and tire repair. They have always been great in the past. I am terribly disappointed. I hope that they will follow up on the email and make this right but I likely will not return.

I went in Friday morning, 1/10/25, around 9:30am. Wonderful experience. Staff cracks jokes and keeps everything fun! Brian was amazing, he got right to the point with the issues I had with my car. He didn’t try to upsell me on any other repairs, which is very refreshing. I trust Zolman’s, and I’ll definitely be back if I need to get anything else done to my car!

I waited a couple of days which included a one-hundred mile trip on the interstate and Chicago city driving before posting this because I wanted to be sure the repair to a tire rim had worked and had stopped a persistent leak. It did! Zolman did a great job, and Brian was very helpful in getting the job scheduled promptly and insuring it was done properly. I will happily use their service again.

I wanted an alignment on my subaru in a kinda limited time frame, they were able to get me in and do the alignment as best they could, but with a 25yr old car some rusty parts just won't move. The car does drive better than it did and I was glad they could accomplish it in this small time frame. They are very professional people there, will definitely suggest others to go there.

A great team of guys. Very polite and professional. They had fresh coffee and other drinks and snack. They did a great job putting my tires on and spin & balance, at a good price they will be my to go to tire place from now on. Try them and you will agree.

Zolman always does a good job. They are always honest and helpful. This time was an unexpected emergency and we needed all four tires. While the tires were being installed it was evident we needed brakes too! So grateful they were able to take care of both the same day. My review is only 4 stars because our regular location didn’t catch the tire situation when we had the car in for a sensor just a few months ago.

The people were polite and the wait was not long but I was a bit disappointed that I needed new tires. The tires I replaced were purchased from Zolmans 24 months earlier and were supposed to be 70,000 mile tires. I had only put 22,000 miles on them. I have them rotated every 6 months or so too at our dealership. No one there questioned why they needed replaced after I asked them how long ago I bought the old tires. I figured there’d be a warranty. Been a long time customer but may need to change if the recommended tires are 70k tires but only getting me 22k.

Price was good, quality was good, worker could use a better attitude. As I was trying to explain how the old tires were best placed in short bed pick- up in order to close tail gate he slammed tail gate against tires and said, “Looks like it is closed to me.” Then he just walked away. I had to open tail gate and move tires so they were not distorted by tail gate. I do not want him in trouble unless it common for him to be such a wise ass.

Nothing but great interactions with Zolman’s. Brian at the McKinley store was great to deal with, even remembered me from a few years back. It’s great to see local businesses provide outstanding service these days. 10/10
