Westwood Auto & Truck Parts Introduce

Westwood Auto & Truck Parts, situated at 130 S Westwood Ave, Toledo, OH 43607, USA, operates primarily within the "Auto Repair Stations" platform category. While the category name might suggest a primary focus on extensive vehicle repair services, in practice, establishments like Westwood Auto & Truck Parts often specialize in providing used auto and truck parts, often functioning as a salvage yard or auto recycling center. Their phone number is (800) 720-1116, which also serves as their mobile contact. This establishment is a significant resource for individuals and businesses seeking affordable replacement parts for their vehicles, as well as a buyer of junk cars.

Environment and Operational Setup

The operational environment of Westwood Auto & Truck Parts would typically encompass a customer service area, a processing facility for dismantling vehicles, and an extensive outdoor salvage yard where vehicles are stored for parts. While direct visual details of their customer reception area are not available, it is expected to be a functional space where customers can inquire about parts and complete transactions. The core of their business, the salvage yard, is where vehicles are brought in, categorized, and stored, allowing for the extraction of reusable components. The nature of a salvage yard means that the outdoor environment can be expansive, with rows of vehicles awaiting dismantling. The provided customer feedback indicates a policy of not allowing customers into the salvage yards themselves, citing "Injury could happen" as a reason. This suggests a controlled environment for safety, which is a common practice in such facilities to mitigate risks associated with heavy machinery, uneven terrain, and potentially unstable vehicle stacks. Westwood Auto & Truck Parts is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST, indicating a consistent schedule for customers and operations.

Services Offered

Westwood Auto & Truck Parts primarily specializes in the sale of used auto and truck parts. Their service model revolves around acquiring salvage vehicles, dismantling them, and making the reusable parts available for sale. This includes a wide array of components such as engines, transmissions, body panels (like doors), lights, interior components, and more. A key aspect of their service, as highlighted by a customer review, is their presence on online platforms like car-part.com, which allows customers to search for specific parts and verify availability before visiting the physical location. This online integration significantly enhances accessibility and convenience for potential buyers. In addition to selling parts, Westwood Auto & Truck Parts also engages in buying junk cars, offering cash for unwanted vehicles. This two-way service model – both selling used parts and acquiring scrap vehicles – is characteristic of a full-service auto recycling operation. They reportedly offer a standard 90-day warranty on their parts, which adds a layer of assurance for customers purchasing used components. They also have an online search feature on their website for customers to check inventory, further enhancing their service.

Features and Customer Experience

The features of Westwood Auto & Truck Parts, as gleaned from customer feedback, offer a mixed but insightful picture. One significant feature is their integration with online part search engines like car-part.com, which streamlines the process for customers to find specific items. The positive review highlights this efficiency, praising the ability to verify parts online, pay in person or online, and receive a call when the part is ready for pickup. This suggests an organized and customer-friendly process for part acquisition. The customer also lauded the staff as "Super kind, efficient and exactly what I was hoping for!", indicating a positive interaction and effective service delivery. This speaks to a feature of good customer service and operational efficiency in handling part requests.

However, another review reveals a different set of features and customer experiences. The policy of denying customer access to the salvage yard for "potential project cars" is a notable feature that can be a point of contention for certain types of customers, particularly car enthusiasts or those looking to purchase entire units rather than just individual parts. While the stated reason is safety ("Injury could happen"), the customer perceived it as an "excuse" and an "extreme" policy. This highlights a business model that prioritizes the sale of individual parts over whole or partial units directly from the yard. The review also criticizes the pricing of parts, citing a "partial car door is 200 Bucks?!" and questioning the overall value compared to other places where machinery was bought. This suggests that while parts are available, their pricing might not always align with every customer's expectations, especially for those seeking extremely low-cost salvage. The phrase "People here are very rude and only care about profits" in the negative review points to a perceived lack of customer-centricity in certain interactions, contrasting sharply with the positive feedback. This indicates a potential inconsistency in customer service experiences and a focus on established operational procedures, which may not always align with all customer needs or preferences.

Promotional Information

Specific promotional information or ongoing deals for Westwood Auto & Truck Parts are not detailed in the provided information. However, typical auto parts stores and salvage yards often engage in various forms of promotion. Given their focus on used parts, common promotions might include discounts on certain categories of parts, special pricing on high-demand items, or perhaps incentives for selling junk cars to them (e.g., higher cash offers during specific periods). Their online presence on car-part.com serves as a form of promotion by increasing their visibility to a wide audience actively searching for auto parts. The fact that they buy junk cars also acts as a promotional draw, as it provides a service for individuals looking to dispose of old vehicles. To inquire about any current promotions or special offers, local users are encouraged to contact Westwood Auto & Truck Parts directly at (800) 720-1116. Their consistent operating hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, facilitate consistent access for customers to utilize their services and inquire about any ongoing deals.

Westwood Auto & Truck Parts Customer Reviews

Seriously great! Found what I wanted on car-part.com, called to verify it was there and was given the option to pay online or in person. The part would be pulled in a day or 2. I stopped in, paid and they were extremely kind. Got a call 2 days later it was ready, picked it up and was done. Super kind, efficient and exactly what I was hoping for!

Don’t let customers go into the salvage yards to see potentional project cars people could get. Saying “Injury could happen” is an excuse. I’m a 16 year old Male looking for a cheap, reliable car, and I don’t just want to buy parts. I want to buy entire or partial units. this is the closest junkyard and just think these policies to car enthusiasts and teenagers is kind of extreme. also, a partial car door is 200 Bucks?! you would be making over 18,000 a day on that. That is ridulous. there are tons of people wanting to preserve unique cars and blocking them from doing that is stupid. I was looking for a 2001 pontiac aztek I could get for like 600 Bucks. a single part costs over 100. That is stupid. I bought machinery from another place in Allendale and I got an idustrial electric motor from a 1000T for just 30. Do not reccomend this place. People here are very rude and only care about profits. Do not reccomend.

Very Bad Customer Service. Mr. Al Hizer was very disrespectful and unprofessional even as a repeat customer. Was called names and belittled for being younger. Gave them the part number, axle code, axle ratio, and production date of vehicle and Al Hizer still failed to get the correct part and when confronted about it I was told to "shut up" and proceeds to hang up after texting me to call him to fix the issue. This place is absurd and don't recommend doing any business with them. I have no problem paying for a new part that is correct but not when being disrespected. Seems to always be having a crabby day The Problem is not the wrong information I gave you as I take full blame but to be treated so poorly and clearly by other reviews quite often maybe a staff problem you should look into. I take accountability for my accident. Once again though you act like I make this up about how I was treated. Being told to shut up must be professional for you. Multiple reviews states you guys have a argumentive and nasty interactions. So to say you're employees are not doing that is so funny
