Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Joseph served me and was extremely kind and made me feel so welcome. He has a gentle tone and a genuine smile. He suggested the usual extra services to me but was not pushy about it. I would drive past another Valvoline to be serviced at this location.

Preface: I never get my oil changed with a shop, have always done it myself on every vehicle I’ve owned (nice or beater) for twenty years of owning a car, except for one time. Until today. I generally don’t trust “quick oil change” establishments. The staff was very knowledgeable and utilized their systems to make sure my 2013 vw was getting the correct oil. I wish i would’ve gotten their names for a shout out of how great they did to get me in the process of the oil change. Of course, there was the light checks and other fluid checks. While they were performing the oil change, Joe, the manager, was around to give advice and help his staff understand the various vehicles that were being worked on while i was being served. His knowledge of the various little things for each vehicle in the bays while i was getting my simple oil change (torque specs,etc) was very impressive. No hard upsells, just making sure to voice the proper way to do things and his staff asking without fear of being belittled was amazing. Thank you all!!! Also, i did have a coupon, it was the wrong one, and they still made it right for me. Tip the staff if they help you!!!!

Told them I had a coupon for $15 off oil change and that I had my own oil. Employee "No problem we'll accept the coupon." A rude guy later comes to the car and says "because you you have your own oil we won't accept the coupon." Me, "That's not what I was told, and the coupon does not say this." This Guy "Too bad, it's our policy." Long time customer, but no longer. I asked for the guys last name but he refused to give it. When I left, they just laughed. Never ever will I go back, and I will tell everyone I know the story.

I was super impressed with the staff as well as how quickly I was in and out of there. They didn't have to upsell me anything because I knew I needed new air filters and I wanted to get the more expensive oil. I don't know much about cars I just know what my husband used to tell me to do and they tried to explain it to me but I still don't know what they're talking about. It cost less than Florida so that was awesome. I would definitely go back.

If I could give less than 1 Star I would. My car started making noises after my oil change, so I took it to a mechanic. After being handed my $600 bill, I was told whoever did my last oil change overfilled it and put on the wrong filter. A valve had to be replaced along with other things. I was told it was a miracle I had not blown up my engine. To make it worse, I had no idea when I needed an oil change because the sticker put on the windshield of my 2023 vehicle said my next oil change was due in over 300,000 miles. There was also the fact that the day I was there getting my oil changed, I was told I was ready to go before reminding them I had requested and paid for a tire rotation that had not been completed. Absolutely everything that could go wrong did. All of this for about $40 more than I would have paid at the dealership.

I moved to a completely different part of town, miles away, and was able to easily find another Valvoline instant oil change. I've been a customer for years. The service is consistent and top-notch.

I've usually had a good experience with this Valvoline location but this will be my last time visiting this one. They didn't check my tire pressure, reset my maintenance light, or show me the dip stick to confirm the oil level. I also raised a concern I had about my skid plate bolts getting stripped by the impact wrench they used and the guy was really dismissive.
