Valvoline Instant Oil Change

My wife and I went to this Lancaster Ohio location for a transmission service. We were not given that. We were not told that it was a fluid replacement. We were charged $184.99 to supposedly have 7.3 quarts of CVT fluid replaced. Only 3.6 quarts were replaced. Any mechanic would know that the transmission holds half of your fluid. We were not told of any leaks underneath the engine or transmission. We now have a leak on our transmission. We were not told to come back the next day to have our fluids checked and make sure the levels were good. I would suggest that if you need any transmission service done stay away from this place. We did have an oil change and a battery exchange that went good. No complaints. The transmission was a failure.

It might have been the quickest oil change I've ever seen. The staff were great, gave me options on some items that needed replaced and gave me an additional discount. I would have timed how long it took but by the time I'd thought of that they were done. Great job

The guys working were very kind and quick with their work. I definitely needed an oil change and I was impressed with how quickly I was able to get this done. They checked my air filter for me and im glad they did because it really needed changed. The guy who checked me in offered to pop the hood for me because my left wrist is in a cast because it's broken and I really appreciate that! I was very comfortable there and glad to have had my service done by all of them!

I had my oil changed today at a non-Valvoline Instant Oil change business; This shop discovered that the last place I had taken my vehicle for an oil change (which was Valvoline Instant in Lancaster Ohio) had either not drained my oil before putting in new, or put in 10 quarts because they drained 10 quarts from my vehicle. My vehicle should receive 4.8 per the manual. A Valvoline manager, Neal, called me back and said they do not make mistakes because employees are supposed to check their work. He admitted it is physically possible for someone to overfill, but said Valvoline does make mistakes. He also put blame on me saying I should have seen the dipstick line when they showed it to me. He smugly said this as if there is no world where what they showed me was an accurate representation of what happened to my car. An overload of oil is not good for an engine. My adult children, husband and my use with PH&H card job, we have given over 20 years of business to Valvoline. No longer. Businesses are made of humans. Humans make mistakes; It’s how businesses handle owning those mistakes and making them right that determine their future. A business that acts like they do not make mistakes is obviously not looking to improve.
