My car was blackballed cuz it's having an issue with computers so they sold one to my mechanic and they said it wouldn't be no warranty which I think is wrong cuz I'm buying $1,300 and some change for one so it didn't work they sold a bad part and the reason why I say that is we got another part rebuilt one they programmed it and started right up and it's running it wouldn't give me my money back for the part never again will I ever buy a Toyota and deal with them folks because they rip me off careful when you deal with them

Got my Scion back up and running better than ever! Came in under the quoted price for all repairs and got my car back a day earlier than promised. Great communication, super friendly, fair prices, and they stand by their work. Won't hesitate to return for any other maintenance and repairs I may need.

After 10 weeks, our power door does not work and Summit Toyota is keeping the $400. We brought our 10 yr old Sienna to have regular maintenance, the AC fixed, and the passenger side power door assessed before a big trip. We had to bring it back within a week or so because they redirected the AC drain onto the heat shield instead of the ground. The power door was a bonus to us because two other places looked at it and both said it would be $800 to repair. Summit took a look and said they could do it for $400. We relayed our surprise per the other estimates, but said yes. The power door worked for 12-20 pulls then failed again. Summit Toyota took another look at the now non-functioning door and came back with an estimate of about $800 to fix it. When I complained that they had misdiagnosed the problem and I would either like them to fix it or refund the money, here is what I was told: 1) Power doors are very complex. Someone should have explained that their 1yr warranty for fixes would only apply if we addressed every possible problem that could occur. A $2,500 prospect. No one said anything of the sort. We were told $400. Then it broke and we were told $800. 2) Because the issue was technically fixed when it left the facility, Summit bears no responsibility should it fail in a day, a month, or a year. That’s what was actually said. I verified; had the fix failed the next day I would have been given the same answer. 3) Summit Toyota believes there is no chance they misdiagnosed the issue. 4) I was told that Summit gave us several discounts associated with the work that day and they lost time on it. That is, they misdiagnosed how much time the fixes would take. This point seemed important to the service manager. I think it’s important too. Unless it was a consideration as to whether or not they rectified the power door issue, there was no good reason to bring it up. We spent $3,000 at Summit Toyota that day and got ~$100 off. Any discounts they afforded us are on them. Any extent to which they mismanaged their own time shouldn’t later be held against the customer, right? 5) Also important to them, the 5k more miles on it since the last time they saw it (~10 wks). It’s actually 4K. We took a big trip putting about 3,500 miles all in 2 weeks. I can understand wanting to focus on miles vs time if the issue had to do with the transmission or the tires. The door worked for a very short time throughout what happened to be a lot of miles all at once. Besides, according to Summit Toyota, their response would have been the same if the door had failed the next day. I understand that one thing can go wrong then a separate thing a day later. Issues can be complex. But I also believe the service department is in the best position to understand those complexities; so, the burden should be theirs in the event they fail to solve the problem. Bottom line, I’m out $400 and don’t have a functioning power door after only a couple of months. They said they understand the situation is frustrating but the money will not be refunded and it will cost $800 to get it working now. Imagine, giving them another $800 knowing that Summit Toyota would be satisfied so long as the fix worked when it left the facility even if only for a day. It’s the absolute certainty that baffles me. Summit Toyota had to re-address the AC repair, they underestimated their own time management, they too now estimate an $800 repair and apparently they feel they gave us so many discounts ($100 on a 3K bill). To say the least of human fallibility. I think they made a mistake, not only in that they missed the repair that would have stuck the fix, but also in how they chose to handle it. As customers who just spent $3,000 on a 10 yr old vehicle, we were a good bet for future revenue. We will never go back to Summit Toyota and cannot recommend them to anyone, for anything, ever.

Let me start by saying I bought my car here and while it wasn’t the best experience, I love my Rav4 and continue to bring my car here thinking I can trust it being a dealership. I’m SHOCKED to see such great reviews after the experience I just had. I recently brought it in for an oil change, to check out the noise coming from the back tires, and a tire rotation. I was told that the noise were wheel bearings that need replaced, one was worse off than the other. Everyone and their mother knows not to trust pricing at a dealership for repairs because it’s overpriced but this took the cake! The man in the service department, Andrew Smolen, had the audacity to look me in the eyes and tell me it would be a $2K fix (it’s not). I almost laughed but held back. He tried to stress to me that going with after-market parts don’t last as long, aren’t as reliable, etc etc etc and that I should go with the factory parts. I used my good old friend google to confirm it’s not a 2K fix on several websites and proceeded to call two other reliable shops that I use for quotes as you should ALWAYS get a second (or third) opinion: $750 and $911. I’m absolutely sick to my stomach and angry as I sit here typing this review because I was just told nothing is wrong with my wheel bearings at a different shop…my rear tires are cupping! Had my tires been rotated like I requested AND PAID FOR($25), the sound would have moved to the front which proves they never rotated my tires! The worst part is I paid for a $55 diagnostic fee for NOTHING. To add insult to injury, that same man from service, Andrew Smolen, said he “discounted” my diagnostic fee because it’s the Christmas season. This shop I’m at now, Leipold Tire on State Road, brought my tire in to the lobby to feel the uneven wearing due to cupping so I can FEEL and SEE what the issue was causing the sound. They have windows into the garage where I can see the diagnostic process and saw that the wheel bearings were checked. I will NEVER EVER trust Summit Toyota with my vehicle ever again and they have lost a customer for life. Thanks Andrew Smolen and Summit Toyota for the deceit and Merry Christmas to you too!

I have been taking my wife's highlander there for years. Always been well cared treated honestly and fairly. I took it to Don Joseph once and got charged 60 dollars for an oil change that was included in the new car warranty. I would return to that dealership again even though I have friends working there.
