We recently went into SB Toyota for a check engine light on our 2009 Prius. Gary Gamboa was our service advisor. He was very friendly and kept us informed of the progress of the diagnostics and the parts needed to repair the car. He was aware that we were up against some tough time deadlines and did everything he could make sure that our daughter was back on the road to college the same day. It is nice to deal with someone who understand the value of providing good customer service. Highly recommend this service department.

(SBD TOYOTA customer service response is LOW.. Since purchase my 2023 RAV4 hybrid AWD, no one sent me a courtesy message through text, emails or Anything untill my mileage reach to over 9600 miles. And I have extended warranty over 8 years and I paid extra dollars (beside I have 2 years or 2 times courtesy free oil service and maintenance.. I have toyota SBDO customer service with 3 stars rating ( their names are::::……,,,,) FYI:… I purchased my 2022 TOY C-HR IN Redlands Toyota, and I have 2 years or 4 x courtesy free oil exchange, their service dept constantly call me, leave a voice mail, text me and email me as remainder for the service. I am so happy and satisfied with their communication service for car service. Also I have no problem with Toyota Corona when my Siena purchased there.. Also no problem with Crown Toyota, for my Camry and Corolla.

Today one of our trucks was taken in for service and was scheduled for an oil change & routine service . The advisor CRISTIAN VEGA assisted when arriving at the service shop . The appointment was scheduled for 9 am 1/6/24 and a call for pick up was within an hour. The initial paperwork shows NO OIL CHANGE DONE . They had only done a tire rotation . Before the truck was taken all oil levels were checked before turning in to the facility and when received oil levels were checked and there was no oil change done. We then entered the service department and spoke to CRISTIAN VEGA and asked why no oil change was done when initially the appointment was set for that. He stated they did do an oil change and the paperwork must be wrong . We then call him out on a lie and let him know that all oil levels were checked before and after and showed proof and he then began to change the story. He then immediately took the truck back in for all the original services requested. Once the truck was serviced correctly CRISTIAN VEGA ID # 5794 then tried to disregard and shred all original paperwork handed over that showed no work had been done and tried to give new paperwork to reflect and hide the mistake . To top it off Toyota of SB then called after the vehicle had been turned in asking why we were a no show for the scheduled apt . We understand mistakes happen but as loyal customers to Toyota of SB who have purchased 6 vehicles from here we are extremely disappointed in the service received. We hope this is not happening to other customers and work scheduled as “done” is actually done.

Warranty is no good on brake service go elsewhere I did my brakes/rotors brake fluid service on my gfs car spend $1500 brakes have been making noise since we got it done finally made time to take it in just to find out they’re out of warranty or as service advisor mention “brakes don’t have warranty because they’re a wear and tear item” absolute nonsense will be going elsewhere from now on these people are thieves they will take your money do a mediocre job take a very long time by the way to perform service day(s)

I went in for scheduled maintenance and there was a tire light on. They couldn’t easily figure out why the tire light was on so to diagnose they were going to charge me $130. Turned out the tires were just over inflated and we removed the air and the light went off. Shouldn’t they have figured this out when they do the multi point inspection upon doing the regular service? If they check the air and it looks high, and the service tire light is on… correct the air and be done with it vs asking me to pay more money just to reduce the air pressure in the car which should have been figured out through a thorough regular service!
