I wanted to try Amsoil for the first time so I Googled where I can go and purchase them for myself and it brought me here at the San Carlos depot, which was great being only a few minutes away from home. Went there last Saturday (4/20) and when I got in, I was glad to see only a couple of people (and they were together, probably husband and wife) ahead of me. The guy who was helping them was seated at his desk (counter) and talking them, which seemed to be making a payment already. I looked around the store and found what I needed in less than 3 minutes. Took 2 containers and went behind the customers. Since they weren't done, I decided to walk around a bit (this is a very small store, mind you) and when I heard the store guy say what their total amount would be, I went back behind them to wait for my turn. I waited..and waited ..and waited, and the guy just kept telling stories about his work with Apple, etc...and when I looked at my watch, 28 minutes had passed. I was about 6 feet away from where he was and he didn't even care to say the usual "I'll be right with you" or "sorry, I'll be with you as soon as they're done"... nothing. I mean, he should've said something as soon as I walked in! So when my watched hit the 30-min mark...I calmly returned the items on the shelf and walked out. I don't mind waiting, but if it's because you're telling life stories to your customers and I only have 2 items to pay for..the wait becomes unacceptable. So what's gonna happen? Well, I won't be going back to that store and probably won't even try Amsoil anymore. Too bad because I always support local shops, and this wasn't a very good experience for me. One ⭐ for being 5 minutes away from home.. that's it. Hope your experience will be better.

The service is great. They went so far as to call the dealership to get the correct oil for my car. The products are top notch.

Amsoil is the leader in automobile oils. It is very helpful to have a salesperson who has high-level technical knowledge about oils, and this place is really good for that kind of specialized information. Amsoil is the best in the industry for automotive oils, and as expected, the prices are a bit higher than elsewhere. In my view, the higher prices are entirely worth it. The employee is very helpful and friendly.
