Sworen's Transmission Introduce

This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of Sworen's Transmission, an auto repair station located at 207 Dartmouth Dr, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301, USA. Specializing in transmission services, Sworen's Transmission can be contacted at (570) 223-9241 or via mobile at +1 570-223-9241 for inquiries or to schedule service. It is important to note that the available customer reviews present significantly different experiences, indicating a potential inconsistency in service quality and customer satisfaction.

One customer recounts a highly negative experience with Sworen's Transmission. They brought their vehicle in for a torque converter issue, which was reportedly replaced. However, the original problem persisted. Upon returning the car, they were told the new converter was faulty and it was "replaced" again. Despite this second replacement, the issue remained unresolved. Due to a lack of an alternative vehicle and financial constraints preventing prolonged rental, the customer was unable to continue leaving their car at the shop for further attempts at repair. When they eventually brought the vehicle back due to a transmission leak, they were informed that it was an engine oil leak and that their work was out of warranty because they had previously reported the ongoing issue. The customer disputes this, stating they were calling about the continued unresolved problem from the initial repair. They also mention that the shop claimed they felt nothing wrong during a test drive. Subsequently, the customer took their car to a Ford dealership, where a master technician diagnosed a leaking transmission pan and confirmed the persistent stuttering issue, concluding that the torque converter had likely never been properly fixed by Sworen's Transmission. This customer strongly advises others to avoid Sworen's Transmission, stating they lost $3000 without their problem being resolved.

In stark contrast, another customer offers a positive review, describing Sworen's Transmission as "nice and professional" and "straight shooters." They mention the business has been operating for a long time and that they had their transmission rebuilt by them. This customer reports that their car now "runs like a champ" and found the price to be "very good" compared to other quotes they received. The service was completed on time and even slightly under the initial quoted price. This reviewer states they would not hesitate to use Sworen's Transmission again and mentions a 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty (although they jokingly note they have time to change their post). This positive feedback highlights a potentially satisfactory experience with transmission rebuild services, pricing, and timeliness.

The significant disparity between these two reviews makes it difficult to provide a definitive description of Sworen's Transmission's environment, services, and features. The negative review suggests potential issues with diagnostic accuracy, repair effectiveness, warranty handling, and customer communication. The positive review, on the other hand, indicates professionalism, fair pricing, and quality transmission rebuilds.

Information regarding the physical environment of Sworen's Transmission is not provided in either review. Therefore, an objective description of the shop's appearance, facilities, or amenities cannot be offered based on the available data.

The primary service offered by Sworen's Transmission is clearly transmission repair and related services. Based on the reviews, these services likely include:

  • Torque converter replacement
  • Transmission rebuilds
  • Diagnosis of transmission issues
  • Repair of transmission leaks (although the accuracy of their diagnosis in this area is questioned by one reviewer)

The positive review suggests competence in transmission rebuilds, resulting in a well-functioning vehicle. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the effectiveness of other transmission-related repairs, diagnostic accuracy, and the handling of repeat issues and warranty claims.

Features of Sworen's Transmission are also difficult to ascertain definitively due to the conflicting feedback. The positive review mentions professionalism and a long-standing business, which could be seen as indicators of reliability and experience. The warranty mentioned (2 year/24,000 miles) is a significant potential feature for transmission rebuilds, suggesting confidence in their work in this area. However, the negative review casts doubt on their warranty handling and willingness to address unresolved issues.

Promotional information is not explicitly mentioned in either review. Potential customers would need to contact Sworen's Transmission directly to inquire about any current promotions, discounts, or specific warranty details on their services.

In conclusion, Sworen's Transmission in East Stroudsburg, PA, presents a complex picture based on the available customer reviews. While one customer reports a positive experience with a transmission rebuild, citing professionalism, fair pricing, and a good warranty, another customer details a severely negative experience involving unresolved issues, misdiagnosis, disputed warranty claims, and significant financial loss. Local users considering Sworen's Transmission should carefully weigh these contrasting accounts. If seeking transmission rebuild services, the positive review is encouraging. However, the serious allegations in the negative review regarding other types of transmission repairs and customer service necessitate extreme caution and may warrant seeking second opinions or considering alternative auto repair stations with more consistently positive feedback.

Sworen's Transmission Customer Reviews

If I could rate this shop 0 stars I would. Brought my car in for a torque converter issue. They replaced it. The car kept doing what it was doing with the bad converter. Brought it back. They said the NEW converter they put in WAS BAD. They “replaced” it again. I pick up the car the second time and it still doing the same thing. Unfortunately I didn’t have an additional vehicle or the funds to rent a vehicle to continue to bring my car here and leave it for weeks so they could “fix” the problem again. So I had to wait till I had an available car. I drop it off again because now the trans is leaking. They tell me I don’t have a trans leak, I have an engine oil leak. And additionally that their work is out of warranty because I stated it’s doing the same thing. He told me all I did was call to complain. Excuse me? I’m calling because my car was never fixed and you guys did the work. So we coulda worked something out or fixed the problem you claimed to fix already twice. He also stated that when you drive the car he felt nothing wrong. I took it to the ford dealership they had a master tech work on it and they stated the trans pan is leaking and needs to be replaced. There is no engine oil leakage and they can feel the stuttering issue I feel because the torque converter was never actually fixed by these people. Do yourself a favor. Save yourself multiple headaches and money and take it somewhere else. Unfortunately these guys got 3000 of my dollars and my problem still isn’t fixed.

Nice and professional. Straight shooters. In business for a long time. I had my transmission rebuilt by them. Car runs like a champ. Price wise very good compared to others I was quoted. Car was done on time and a little under quoted price. I would not hesitate to use them again. I do have 2 year 24,000 miles to change my post lol...
