Our Highlander has a recall for an airbag sensor and I called to schedule when the recall was finally ready. We made the appointment & she called back within 5 minutes to let me know she ordered the part. I drive 45 minutes to Battle Creek & they say it could be about 2 hours to finish, no problem at all I was expecting & willing to wait. They call me back after 20 minutes & tell me they looked at it & they will order the part & call us when it comes in. This was November 14th. So I’m not sure if they just never ordered the part? I’m not one to argue or create issue, I’ve worked customer service I understand sometimes things are miscommunicated but it is now December 5th & we haven’t received a call, I left a voicemail two days ago & they never called back. I’ve had them be a little snappy & rude on the phone before but it’s hit or miss because sometimes they’re very polite & willing to help. The sales team has always been great but I dread dealing with their service department. We may have to start making the drive to Fort Wayne instead.

I've owned Toyota's a long time. I've had a mixed bag of success with the sales and service here beginning in 1996. My most recent visit was quite positive hence the three-star review as opposed to the one star I would have left them from previous experiences. They were able to fix an issue I had with my Highlander Hybrid that Metro Toyota in Kalamazoo Michigan wasn't able to take care of after two service appointments. I will give them more of my business and hopefully they will turn me to a very satisfied customer. My review will be updated accordingly.
