Subaru Service Introduce

For Subaru owners in White Plains, New York, and the broader Westchester County area, Subaru Service at 499 Old Tarrytown Rd, White Plains, NY 10603, operating under the umbrella of White Plains Premier, presents itself as a dedicated service center catering specifically to the needs of Subaru vehicles. As part of the Auto Repair Stations category, this service center aims to provide a range of services and potentially sell related goods to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of Subaru automobiles. To offer a comprehensive introduction for local users, it's essential to consider the environment, services, features, and any available information regarding customer experiences, both positive and negative, to provide an objective overview.

Based on one customer review, the environment of the Subaru Service center at White Plains Premier is perceived as highly positive. This reviewer, a multiple Subaru owner with experience at other service centers in Westchester, expresses being "very impressed throughout" their interactions. They describe the dealership as "incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, well run and professional," suggesting an environment where efficiency, expertise, and customer support are prioritized. This positive feedback indicates a well-organized service center where customers feel confident in the abilities of the staff and the overall operation.

However, a contrasting review paints a starkly different picture of the service center, specifically mentioning its management under Frankie Torres. This reviewer describes the environment as a "complete disaster" characterized by the alleged exploitation of "inexperienced employees" with "little regard for their well-being." The claims of a non-existent "work-life balance" and the manipulation of commissions to "shortchange their employees" paint a concerning picture of the internal working environment. This negative perspective suggests a potentially toxic atmosphere that could indirectly impact customer service and the overall quality of work performed. It is crucial for local users to be aware of this significant negative feedback when considering this service center.

In terms of services offered, as a dealership service center, Subaru Service at White Plains Premier likely provides a comprehensive range of maintenance and repair options specifically tailored for Subaru vehicles. These services typically include:

  • Routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid flushes, adhering to Subaru's recommended service schedules.
  • More complex mechanical repairs involving the engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems, utilizing genuine Subaru parts.
  • Electrical system diagnostics and repairs, addressing issues with the battery, alternator, starter, and other electrical components.
  • Software updates and recalls specific to Subaru vehicles.
  • Warranty work for Subaru vehicles still under manufacturer warranty.
  • Genuine Subaru parts and accessories sales.
  • Tire services, including sales, installation, balancing, and alignment.

The positive review highlights the "incredibly knowledgeable" aspect of the service team. This suggests that the technicians possess the necessary expertise and training to accurately diagnose and effectively repair Subaru vehicles, potentially leveraging specialized knowledge and tools specific to the brand. This can be a significant advantage for Subaru owners seeking qualified professionals who understand the intricacies of their vehicles.

On the other hand, the negative review raises concerns about the experience level of some employees, suggesting that the quality of service might be inconsistent depending on the technician assigned. This discrepancy in employee experience could potentially lead to longer repair times, misdiagnoses, or suboptimal workmanship. The claim of prioritizing profit over the well-being of staff and customers is a serious concern that could deter potential customers who value ethical business practices and reliable service.

Features of a dealership service center often include access to genuine Subaru parts, specialized diagnostic equipment, and technicians trained specifically on Subaru vehicles. The positive review implicitly supports these features by highlighting the knowledge and professionalism of the team. However, the negative review casts doubt on the overall quality of the service provided, suggesting that these potential features might be undermined by the alleged mismanagement and treatment of employees.

Currently, no specific promotional information is available in the provided text. Dealership service centers sometimes offer promotions such as seasonal maintenance specials, discounts on specific services (e.g., oil change packages), or coupons for parts and accessories. Local users are advised to contact Subaru Service at White Plains Premier directly at (914) 904-9228 or +1 914-904-9228 or visit their website to inquire about any current promotions or service specials.

In conclusion, Subaru Service at White Plains Premier presents a mixed picture for local Subaru owners. One customer reports a highly positive experience, emphasizing the knowledge, helpfulness, and professionalism of the service center. This suggests that for some customers, the service provided meets or exceeds expectations. However, a contrasting and serious negative review alleges significant issues with the management under Frankie Torres, citing the exploitation of inexperienced employees and a profit-driven approach that disregards staff well-being. This negative feedback is a critical factor that potential customers should consider.

Local users seeking Subaru service in White Plains, NY, are encouraged to weigh both perspectives. While the dealership setting may offer the advantages of brand-specific expertise and genuine parts, the serious allegations in the negative review regarding the work environment and potential impact on service quality cannot be ignored. It would be prudent for prospective customers to conduct further research, perhaps by seeking additional recent reviews or directly contacting the service center to assess their current practices and customer service approach before making a decision.

Subaru Service Customer Reviews

I am a multiple Subaru owner that has previously worked with other service centers in Westchester, NY. I bought my latest Subaru from White Plains Premier and use their service center. Very impressed throughout - the best dealership I’ve worked with. Incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, well run and professional. Grateful to have found them, elevating my Subaru experience even more. Thank you team!

The service center ran by Frankie Torres is a complete disaster. They have inexperienced employees who are being used and exploited, with little regard for their well-being. From speaking with the staff, it’s clear that the so-called "work-life balance" they claim to prioritize is non-existent. On top of that, they manipulate commissions to shortchange their employees. This place is only interested in making money at the expense of both its staff and customers. Please stay away, whether you're looking for a service or considering a job here. It’s a toxic environment all around.

I was driving to Pennsylvania when I had some car issues and went to this service center. Lena was very friendly and helpful. They gave me peace of mind and assured me that my car would be fine for the road trip.

Took my wrx in to White Plains Service for a check engine light and to have the brakes checked at 35k miles as they weren’t working great, looked from the outside like the pads weren’t fully contacting the rotors on the front and they marginally passed NYS inspection. They said it was normal wear and not covered under the 3y/36k wear items warranty…changed the pads/rotors myself and the inside of the fronts were only contacting maybe ~50% of the surface!!! (Outside was using about 90%…pics of driver’s front rotor and pads for reference)…rear pads had at most 2mm left at the thickest point and were very unevenly worn. As for the check engine light they were going to reach out to SOA to see if they’d cover diagnostics as the car was tuned….haven’t received any follow up at all from them since going there 7 weeks ago. Also asked about wiper inserts under warranty and they said I had aftermarket wipers…I purchased this car new with 5 miles on it and these were the wipers that came with the car!!! I resolved all of these issues myself at a substantial savings over what they would have charged me. TLDR; center denied replacing worn and unsafe brakes under warranty, did not replace factory wipers under warranty and did absolutely zero follow up on a check engine light issue when they said they would. I regret even going here and would never trust my safety or that of my family to this service center.
