Shelly's Automotive Customer Reviews

Eric was fantastic. I had been looking for an honest, trustworthy, independent mechanic for my 1999 C5 Corvette and was referred to Shelly's Automotive by a friend and couldn't be happier. After getting my oil changed, Eric took the time to show me how to remove my windshield wiper cowling to remove what looks like a mouse nest! Turns out they must have been there before we bought the car 4-years ago, which explains why my drivers information center buttons weren't working!

This was by far the worst experience ever dealing with Eric of who of which was rude during any conversation I had with him. My car was there for almost 2 weeks and hadn't moved in his parking lot but 1 time for him to call me and say he was going to throw in the white towel on my 2008 mazda cx7.. I had car towed to him to have to get it towed again because he's didn't even really look at my vehicle. Eric stated he couldn't find out what was wrong with my vehicle which makes me wonder if he's really ASE CERTIFIED. WORST MECHANIC EVER..WOULDNT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!

Amazing shop! Will always come back! He was very prompt and even went above what was asked to help us get our car back on the road after Helene!

I took my 2017 Honda Civic to Shelly’s. My goal is to always support small local businesses, but I think they should support their local patrons too. Shelley’s charged a reasonable amount for brake pads and rotors. After completion, the parking brake didn’t work and all dashboard lights associated with the brakes were on. This should have been a red flag that the mistake was from the shop. The shop should have researched their mistake and not put it on the customer to fix and pay for their mistake. The shop reiterated several times they did nothing wrong and believed the problem to be a faulty actuator sold by Honda. An actuator he was going to charge me for but decided not to because it didn’t correct the parking brake issue or the dashboard lights. Obviously in my mind, if we weren’t having these issues before the service, there was something incorrectly done during the service. Shelley’s didn’t give any resolution and left us with the impression that it wasn’t his fault and there’s nothing else Shelley’s can do. We took the car to the Honda dealership. Honda said in their summary of services “the shop (meaning Shelley’s) took caliber off and accidentally pulled out wire for electronic parking brake”. So we had to pay the Honda dealership to correct Shelley’s Automotive’s work. As you know, Honda is not cheap and customers should never have to pay for the mechanic’s mistakes. We would have come out cheaper going straight to the large chain Honda dealership. Hoping this is not others’ experience.

Brought a 2003 Honda CR-V in. I told him what I thought the issue was from my research. He gave me a good price “never looked at what I thought was wrong” i stated I just needed it to run and drive. It didn’t make it 10 miles down the street. Before breaking down at O’Rileys. It was brought back in this morning. Surprise it was exactly what I thought it was the VTEC Solenoid. Me as a person that knows nothing about car figured it out faster than this old mechanic that I’m sure has been at it all his life. I picked the car up this afternoon after he wanted to charge me an extra 280$. If the “mechanic” had checked what I thought was wrong I wouldn’t had fixed the window and had money to fix the solenoid. This P.O.S also made it known that the car he “fixed” turned over long enough for him to make it to the shop if not I’d be charged for the tow. ERIC you are truly the worst and I only wish you the worst.
