Rvinyl, located at 140 58th St Building B, Brooklyn, NY 11220, functions primarily as an auto parts store with a strong online presence, specializing in a wide array of vinyl films and accessories for automotive customization and various other applications. While the provided "platform category" is "Auto Repair Stations," it's crucial to understand that Rvinyl operates more as a supplier of goods rather than a service center performing repairs. Their business model revolves around providing products for individuals and professionals who wish to undertake DIY vehicle modifications or other vinyl-related projects. Customers can reach them by phone at (800) 503-7916 or mobile at +1 800-503-7916.
The environment of Rvinyl, being primarily an online retailer, is less about a traditional storefront experience and more about a digital catalog and customer support infrastructure. While their physical address in Brooklyn indicates a base of operations, customers typically interact with Rvinyl through their website, which serves as their primary showroom. This digital environment allows them to showcase a vast inventory, provide product details, and process orders efficiently. For local users in Brooklyn, it might imply a potential for local pickup, though their main sales channel is online shipping. The physical location likely serves as a warehouse and administrative hub, supporting their e-commerce operations. Therefore, customers should expect a focus on product availability and shipping logistics rather than on-site consultations or installation services typical of a brick-and-mortar auto repair station.
Rvinyl's services and goods for sale are heavily concentrated on vinyl products. Their offerings extend far beyond typical auto parts like engine components or brake pads, focusing instead on aesthetic and protective customization. Key product categories include:
- Vehicle Wraps: These are large adhesive vinyl sheets used to change the color or finish of a car's exterior, offering alternatives to traditional paint jobs. Rvinyl carries various brands like 3M, Avery Dennison, Oracal, and their own Rwraps, in a multitude of colors, patterns (e.g., carbon fiber, matte, gloss, metallic), and textures.
- Window Tint Films: Pre-cut or bulk rolls of tint for vehicle windows, designed to reduce glare, enhance privacy, and block UV rays. They offer different shades and types, including nano-ceramic and standard films.
- Dash Kits and Interior Trim: Vinyl overlays designed to customize the interior of a vehicle, providing new finishes for dashboards, door panels, and other trim pieces.
- Headlight and Taillight Tints/Protection: Films specifically designed to alter the appearance or protect vehicle lights.
- Paint Protection Film (PPF): Clear films applied to vehicle surfaces to protect against scratches, chips, and environmental damage.
- Caliper Wraps and Rim Wraps: Vinyl solutions for customizing brake calipers and wheel rims.
- Craft Vinyl: Beyond automotive, Rvinyl also supplies vinyl for crafting and home decor projects, indicating a broader appeal to DIY enthusiasts.
- Installation Tools: They offer a range of tools and fluids necessary for applying vinyl films, such as squeegees, cleaners, and adhesive removers, catering to both amateur and professional installers.
The features of Rvinyl's business model include a wide product selection and a focus on DIY accessibility. They pride themselves on offering a vast inventory of vinyl films from reputable brands, allowing customers to choose from hundreds of colors, patterns, and finishes. Their website often provides guides and videos to assist customers with the installation process, aiming to empower DIY enthusiasts. The availability of pre-cut kits for specific vehicle makes and models is a significant feature, intended to simplify the application for those less experienced with cutting and shaping large sheets of vinyl. This emphasis on pre-cut options aims to reduce the "headache" and cost associated with professional installation or custom cutting. Additionally, Rvinyl operates a "Rewards Program" to incentivize repeat purchases and customer engagement.
However, customer feedback indicates both strengths and areas for improvement. Positive reviews often highlight the quality of customer service, with one customer specifically praising "Alyssa's help with customer service" and stating that "the quality of customer service is unmatched." This suggests a commitment to addressing customer inquiries and issues. The ease of installing some products, like window tints, is also noted as a positive aspect by experienced DIYers. On the other hand, a significant concern raised by customers pertains to the accuracy of product cuts and the quality consistency of certain films. One review details issues with "cuts were completely off" for door trims and display panels, rendering the product unusable. Another review mentions that while some tint quality was "great" (e.g., Avery Dennison nano ceramic), other films were "hit or miss," with "defective" film and "adhesive lines after install," requiring replacements. These experiences suggest that while Rvinyl aims to provide DIY-friendly products, there can be variability in manufacturing precision and film quality, which customers should be aware of. Issues related to product fitment and claims of products not matching website descriptions have also been reported, leading to concerns about refund policies when products have been partially installed or opened. This underscores the importance of customers thoroughly checking product fitment and quality upon receipt, and being aware of the company's return policies for installed or opened items.
As for promotional information, Rvinyl, like many online retailers, likely utilizes various digital marketing strategies. These might include website banners, email newsletters promoting sales or new arrivals, social media campaigns, and potentially collaborations with automotive influencers or DIY channels. Their "Rewards Program" serves as a direct promotional tool, encouraging customer loyalty through points and discounts. They also feature specific product bundles or discounts on larger orders. Given the nature of their business, promotional efforts would likely focus on showcasing the transformative potential of their products for vehicle customization, emphasizing the DIY aspect, and highlighting the breadth of their vinyl selection. Potential customers are advised to check their website regularly for any ongoing sales, seasonal promotions, or bundle deals on vinyl wraps, tints, and accessories.

The package came in and the cuts were completely off. One of the door trims was missing a hole cut for the lock/unlock button as pictured. First I said no big deal, but then I went to install the flat panel display and the cut for the screen as well as the Odometer display was completely wrong. The screen cut was about 1in off from the bottom and the sides where was far out to the left and right. The same was for alot of the other pieces as you can see from the pictures. I just stopped there and didn't even want to try any other pieces. I would never buy from them again. If I could give 0 stars I would. Don't buy from them!

I love the customer service and the ease to install theses window tints at Rvinyl. I have been a customer for over 4 years and tint all my cars myself. I really appreciate Alyssas’s help with customer service. The quality of customer service is unmatched. The tint quality is hit or miss. My Avery Dennison nano cermic was great, however the avery dennison NR Pro was not great, noticed the film was defective and had adhesive lines after install. Had to buy replacements.

I was pleased with the understanding I used to get while walking into a real store. Alyssa L. from (Rvinyl) was super helpful and repsonded quicker than I expected. Chances' are I will order from Rvinyl for anything else I need for my car. Incidentally if I had to turn to amazon I would done without, They are overpriced and impersonal. thanks again, John

I ordered $550 worth of vinyls to wrap my car. Intended to get 5x10 ft. Rolls. Got 5x1 x10 instead. Buyer beware. They don't do returns at all on unopened vinyls. Which means now I have a bunch of junk rolls I can't use they won't return. I tried nicely to ask for help and they refused. So much for nice customer service for a new client. I was excited to get some nice wrap for my cars and now I gotta buy it all again from somewhere else with better customer service.

I had placed an order for swatches and then figured out that I forgot one color. So I used the chat button to ask if I could add one to my order so that I don’t have to pay another $10 in shipping and I was connected with a customer service rep named Mariel S. and they were able to cancel the order so i could submit a new one. Fun stuff at this site!
