R & B Transmission Inc Customer Reviews

I had My vehicle here due to shaking when I pushed the gas pedal. After they looked at it they called with a whole list of things that needed to be fixed on top of the spark plugs to fix the shaking and said it was not safe to drive without those things, a new oil pan, power steering line, caliper I was quoted just over $1000 which didn't seem like a bad price for all they were doing and of course I'm not going to put my family back into a vehicle that's not safe to drive so I allowed them to do it all. After they fixed those issues the shaking was still not fixed and was quoted another 1600 to fix it. I chose to get a second opinion and take it elsewhere. When I went to pay for it he showed me the old oil pan that had a little rust on it but was clearly safe to drive so it made me question what else didn't NEED to be fixed but he did take the oil pain off of my bill and they were kind to my face the whole time. We ended up taking it to another shop and they diagnose the issue immediately and fixed it for $120.馃ゴ

I recently had to have our vehicle towed here, due to it going into limp mode after warming up and not being able to drive. I contacted him from a referral another mechanic had given me. I expressed the issues and the need to have it checked out. The initial phone call was great and gave me hope he would thoroughly check out our vehicle and give us an answer. After 4 days of my car being there, I called in to see if they had time to look into it yet, I expressed I was trying to be patient bc it was not an appointment and had to be towed in. He seemed frustrated and overwhelmed by my call, and explained he was trying to get to it hopefully that day. After a few hours I finally got a call back, and he told me our transmission was done. I obviously was emotional behind that news as this was our main driver, and asked if he was sure and if he was able to drive it at all. He explained no he didn't need to, his mechanic got in it and started it up and could just tell it was don because it's just worrying, then he said they hooked up a reader and knew it was done. I ended up cutting the call short and told him I would find a way to get it out of there, after he explained it would be over 2,000$ before tax for a used one and labor, and he had to address that before he could get into the mechanucal issues ( to which he never even explained) After calming down and making a few calls to family members and other mechanics I decided to get a second opinion and arranged another tow to a separate mechanic. I called them back to explain I was arranging a tow and asked more questions, as I was unsure that it was really done for. When I asked how he was sure the transmission was done without it throwing any T codes for the transmission, and how he was so sure there wasn't any other cause without further inspection( like pulling it in the garage to check for leaks or anything) he met me with an aggravated tone and assured me that he was indeed correct, assuring me my training was junk. Long story made as short as possible, we now have our car back and running well( thank the good Lord and the other mechanic), it was throwing pressure codes, that I found out about from the other mechanics and ended up being clogged filters... After a good drain and new filters, pan, and gasket, and 350$ instead of thousands we are back on the road and grateful as ever. I truly believe they took me for a fool as a woman and thought I would take their word for it, when there were no real signs of the transmission being junk to begin with.

I was on my way back to El Paso Texas when my Grand Caravan had what I thought was shifting problems. I called Brandon (sp) and he asked me to bring it in. He test drove it, put it on his tester, reset the codes, and checked the fluid. He then advised me that everything was great and he could not find no problem and told me it would be okay to drive the 1700 miles to El Paso. I asked him what his charges were and he very graciously stated "No Charge". I was in disbelief and offered to pay for his trouble but he still refused. According to some of the reviews I have read concerning this business, and how he treats his customers, I would hope that this review would find its way to more loyal customers. If I lived in Wooster he would definitely have all of my business. Thank you.

Worst place in history. They are rip offs and the never take accountability for the problems they create. The vehicle was in worst shape after I picked it up vs when I dropped it off. Horrible dishonest people

3 months ago I brought my van to them they said my transmission had to be rebuilt I agreed for them to do the repairs and now 3 months later the seal is leaking transmission fluid I bought it back to them and they told me I had to pay them again to fix it I have already paid them $3000 and my van is doing the same thing I bought it there for in the first place they are scammers and need to be investigated
