Quality Mazda Service Introduce
Quality Mazda Service, situated at 8101 Lomas Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, operates as the authorized service department for Quality Mazda, a dealership within the "Auto Repair Stations" category. As a dealership service center, its primary role is to provide specialized maintenance and repair services for Mazda vehicles, ensuring they meet manufacturer standards and specifications. While it caters specifically to Mazda owners, its operations fall under the general umbrella of auto repair, providing essential vehicle care to the local community.
The environment at Quality Mazda Service would be characteristic of a modern automotive dealership's service department. This typically includes a comfortable customer waiting lounge, often equipped with amenities such as Wi-Fi, refreshments, and potentially a television. The service reception area would be clean and organized, designed for efficient check-in and communication between customers and service advisors. The service bays themselves would be state-of-the-art, featuring specialized diagnostic equipment and tools specifically designed for Mazda vehicles. Technicians would work in a well-lit, organized environment, using lifts and other machinery to perform repairs and maintenance. Given its role as a dealership, there would also be a parts department on-site or readily accessible, stocking genuine Mazda parts. The overall ambiance aims to be professional and customer-centric, though experiences can vary, as indicated by customer reviews.
As an "Auto Repair Station" affiliated with a specific brand, Quality Mazda Service offers a comprehensive range of services and sells genuine Mazda parts. Their primary services are tailored to Mazda vehicles but encompass standard automotive maintenance and repair. These include:
- Factory Scheduled Maintenance: Adhering to Mazda's recommended service intervals, covering oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections.
- Diagnostic Services: Utilizing specialized Mazda diagnostic tools to accurately identify issues, including those indicated by a check engine light. However, customer feedback suggests that appointments are required for code diagnostics.
- Brake Service: Inspection, repair, and replacement of brake pads, rotors, and other brake system components using genuine Mazda parts.
- Tire Services: Including tire rotations, balancing, and potentially tire sales (though specific brands are not mentioned).
- Fluid Services: Transmission fluid, coolant, power steering fluid, and brake fluid flushes and replacements.
- Engine Repair: Addressing various engine issues, from minor adjustments to more extensive repairs.
- Transmission Repair: Servicing and repairing Mazda transmissions.
- Electrical System Diagnostics and Repair: Troubleshooting and fixing electrical problems.
- Warranty Repairs: Performing repairs covered under Mazda's factory warranty.
Key features of Quality Mazda Service, inherent to its nature as a dealership service center, include its access to genuine Mazda parts, ensuring optimal fit and performance, and the expertise of factory-trained technicians. These technicians are specifically educated on Mazda vehicle systems, diagnostic procedures, and repair protocols, giving them an in-depth understanding of the brand's engineering. This specialized knowledge is a significant advantage over independent shops, especially for complex issues or warranty-related repairs. The use of manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools further enhances their ability to accurately pinpoint problems. The service center also provides official software updates and recalls, which are often critical for maintaining vehicle safety and performance. However, a notable feature (or rather, a point of customer frustration) is their appointment policy, particularly for basic services like oil changes or check engine light diagnostics, which may require significant lead time, as highlighted by a customer review. Despite this, the presence of highly regarded individuals like "Squid," who is described as "phenomenal" and consistently taking "care of customers," indicates that strong individual customer service is a feature at this location. The manager's responsiveness to a customer's complaint also suggests a commitment to addressing and rectifying service issues, demonstrating a level of accountability.
Regarding promotional information, authorized dealership service centers like Quality Mazda Service typically engage in various promotions, though specific current deals are not provided. Common promotional strategies include:
- Service Specials: Regular promotions on common services like oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, or multi-point inspections, often advertised on their website or through direct mail.
- Parts Discounts: Special offers on genuine Mazda parts and accessories.
- Seasonal Maintenance Packages: Promotions tailored to prepare vehicles for specific seasons (e.g., winter checks, summer AC service).
- Recall and Service Campaigns: Informing customers about active recalls or service campaigns specific to their Mazda models.
- Online Appointment Scheduling: While a point of contention for some services, offering online booking for general appointments is a convenience that serves as a promotional tool.
- Customer Loyalty Programs: Dealerships often have loyalty programs that reward repeat customers with discounts or exclusive offers on services and parts.
- Warranty Information: Highlighting the benefits of servicing a vehicle at an authorized dealership to maintain warranty coverage and receive certified repairs.
The provided customer reviews offer mixed, but insightful, perspectives on Quality Mazda Service. One review expresses significant frustration regarding the service hours and appointment policies, specifically mentioning being turned away at 3:35 PM despite stated closing hours of 6 PM, and the inability to schedule oil changes or get immediate check engine light diagnostics. This highlights a critical operational feature related to customer access and convenience. The reviewer also makes a stark contrast between two employees: "Squid" is consistently praised as "phenomenal" for his customer care, while "Daniel" is described negatively, suggesting inconsistency in front-line service. The second review corroborates the positive experience with "Squid" ("he has always been great") but details a negative incident where a door part was broken during diagnosis, leading to an extended repair time. While the shop covered the cost and the manager apologized, the initial error and a delay in customer pickup are areas of concern. This indicates that while they strive for customer satisfaction and address issues, service consistency can be a challenge. Despite these issues, the customer returned for service, suggesting that the core repair quality and the positive experiences with staff like Squid weigh heavily in their decision-making. Overall, Quality Mazda Service appears to be a capable service center for Mazda vehicles, but aspects of its customer service, particularly related to communication and scheduling, could benefit from further refinement to match the positive reputation of individual staff members.

Quality Mazda Service Customer Reviews
I’m putting this up here because it’s not advertised on their website. Their hours say they are open until 6, but if you want your car serviced you need to be there before 3:30. I showed up at 3:35 and was turned away on 7/28/22. Their service techs going home at 5 is more important than customer service. If you ask them to run a code for a check engine light, they will not without an appointment two weeks away. I have always dealt with Squid, and he is phenomenal and always takes care of customers. Daniel is not. He has zero customer service and has an attitude like he hates his job, but is taking it out on you. I respect that employees want to go home on time. To accommodate that and customers, appointments for oil changes should be allowed to be made. I tried making one when I first got my car, and I was called and said they don’t do appointments for oil changes.

We've brought our vehicles here for all repairs and for intermittent oil changes. Generally we have had good experiences, but I did have one that was bad. I took my car in for diagnosis and repair and while there they broke a door part. They didn't have the part and had to order it, which meant they had to keep the car two extra days. They did cover this at no charge. When I went to pick up the car no one was around and several people came after me and were waiting too. We could see people in the back but they didn't come to help us for about 15 minutes. The manager did contact me after this to apologize. I didn't have a chance to return the call, so that's on me. Other than that, Squid normally helps me and he has always been great. I have been in for service since my one bad experience and it was professional as expected.

Just purchased a car from Quality Mazda and I had a great experience. The salesperson who assisted me the entire time was very helpful and down to earth....Even the manager who I completed the deal with was very friendly. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you are looking for a new/used car....and if you want to deal with someone who is down to earth, friendly and not pushy ask for Javi!!!! Thank you Quality Mazda for making my purchase smooth. Happy New Year!!!

The service advisors and parts counter folks are great. The shop does work on-time and for a reasonable price for OEM parts. My reservations are that they seem to have some issues with quality control and expertise with Mazdas. I've taken my older Mazda3 in a few times. The first time for a front brake job, which went fine, but they were unable to address a soft brake issue related to the ABS valve that is an problem on these cars. I had to resolve that myself afterward because they couldn't or wouldn't understand what I was saying. Tried them again a few years later for a clutch replacement, which again went fine overall but the vehicle was given back to me leaking transmission fluid. A simple mistake, easily fixed. But I'm not excited to pay a shop if I have to check their work and take more time to take it back again. Might as well save the money and do it myself. I make mistakes too, but at least I check my work and look things up if I don't know what the issue is. I suspect the root problem is that they don't pay well enough to retain experienced technicians, but I obviously don't know for sure.

Always speedy and willing to help out! I have purchased multiple vehicles here and the service has always been great! This is my go to place for anything I need. I have had body repair, oil changes, and multiple other repairs here, phenomenal staff as well. You cant go wrong here and just for the record none of my vehicles are Mazda so dont let that be the reason you avoid this place!
